So it seems the vault workshop was just released as I got this message while playing. Anyone else get it?

My Fallout 4 does have an update queued.
[editline]25th July 2016[/editline]
Did they release it an hour early by accident? it isn't meant to be out until 12 GMT, it is 11 GMT

Remember Britain is currently on summer time, you're an hour ahead of GMT.

Guessing Beth confused GMT and BST

Most mods should work fine with the DLC, but I'd imagine some settlement mods will break.
Guys, the raider & vault workshop stuff all have "Lookup Failed!" as their categories & sub-categories, anyone has an idea how I would go about fixing it? Would DL'ing one of those menu restorer fix it? Keep in mind I have a lot of mods for new settlement items and I would hate having to reinstall everything after using a fix, but will obviously do just that if necessary.
Help a brother out?
Lookup Failed generally means that you've got outdated strings. Try removing/renaming the strings folder and then verifying the game. If that fixes it, then you probably need to download an updated version of whatever mod edited those files (which is most likely the Full Dialogue Interface mod, if you were using it).

If I redownload those strings, will Full Dialogue Interface still work (I assume not) ? I'll do that either way, but still curious. And it won't mess with my other settlement mods will it?

If you mean redownlodaing the base game strings, then the dialogue menu will still be changed, but it will only show the phrases that Bethesda decided, instead of the full line.
And nah, it shouldn't break any other mods. The strings don't really interact with mods, they're basically just a long list of different pieces of text (like subtitles, terminal content, the dialogue menu options etc) in the game.
Don't know if this has been said yet or is known already, but it is possible to transfer saves between mobile and PC version. The day it came out for PC I checked it out and quickly realized you can transfer it.

You can easily transfer the save(s) by plugging in your phone, then go to /android/com.bethsoft.falloutshelter/files and copy the VaultX.sav and VaultX.sav.bkp files to Documents/My Games/Fallout Shelter
May or may not prove useful, but I use it to play the game when I'm at home, and on my phone whenever I'm abroad.
I should definitely say though, finding the Stranger is much more difficult in the PC version since you can't hear his theme throughout the whole vault, but I do notice whenever he appears as my phone starts to vibrate twice, and vibrates once if he disappears.
I bet you can do the same using iTunes for iOS devices, KOTOR had saves you could transfer to and from on iOS

Alright I'll do that right away then, thank you!
Finally, he gets to be in a vault

A new piece of Gospel! It shall be added to the litany and sung throughout the internet.

Jesus christ, why do you still have Character Lighting enabled?
every time I see a non-console screenshot with CL enabled I want to claw my fucking eyes out, it's only good if you're struggling to see corpses when it's dark
turn that crap off, it looks awful
shit that's what that is
i always felt like something looked off in vanilla screens
why do people really care if you have CL on?
what does it even do
why do people really care if you have CL on?
i mean it doesn't look very good to have people glowing in the dark without radioactivity involved, but then that screenshot is a weird 'not-dark dark' lighting
what does it even do
Lighting around the rims of characters. TF2 uses a similar trick to make players more visible.

without:

They overdid it a bit, making it look really unnatural. I prefer to turn it down a bit rather than off completely.
what does it even do
Fake rim / reflection lighting on characters
why do people really care if you have CL on?
It's fugly.
Fuck, I just started building my vault in the new DLC. I had so many good ideas going in, but now I have no idea how I'm going to execute them with the shitty building system.
I'm too much of a lazy fuck to know about or change character lighting

Does game perform better or worse with it off

No real difference in performance.
Console command is "cl off"
You can automatically turn it off by placing "sStartingConsoleCommand=cl off" under "General" in your Fallout4.ini (My Documents / My games is default location for the ini files)

Another example of on and off (gif)

On one hand the game was obviously styled with it in mind for the conversations. It probably exists so you can actually see people's faces, but then who really knows with Bethesda anymore? But on the other hand it's so bright it basically means even with darker night mods, they're going to stick out like a sore thumb, and it just seems plain strange for these people to be so bright in the dark. Ghouls aside.
Anyone know if it's possible to make more than one of the machines [sp] from the quest? [/sp] If yes, where are they?

Apparently you can make more previous to [sp]using the teleporter[/sp], but not after.
Apparently you can make more previous to [sp]using the teleporter[/sp], but not after.
[sp] Teleporter? You mean from the main basegame quest? I never had to do anything with a teleporter during this DLC, nor have I completed the main game's quest to this point either on this char. [/sp]
