I usually wait until I have a decent amount of caps, and I'm making enough money off of purified water & producing jet at the settlement, build a level 3 general store and just keep buying junk as I need it
I had a mod that adds more shipments to most traders though, so that helps a lot.

It's best to start them after finishing Preston's quests. You get a huuuuuge bonus to resources when you've done them all.

Nope, his "Quests" were moved to the radio operator in the castle, though radio freedom, so he no longer spouts radiant quests like a madman.

Anyone here know how to fix the settlement menus? My menu somehow managed to lose Structures and Decorations and I can't seem to get them back
I hate how clunky and big the workbenches are so I've started the long and awful process of remodelling them into a more compact form.

I took the thingy off the back and moved the fuel and oxy tanks for the cutter underneath the bench, supported by what will be wooden planks, i also removed those slanted leg things because my character always smashed his skull off the ceiling by walking up them and I made a cut into the side of the bench to put the cutting torch in so it can be placed against a wall without clipping

bethesda meshes are horrible and i never want to touch them ever again, this thing had 2000 extra vertices that weren't being used at all, but maybe they were being used and I totally fucked up by removing them, oh well
I plan on doing the other workbenches and adding them as seperate versions in a mod once I wrap my head around rigging and the can of worms that is modding a bethesda game

Used looksmenu to make it more unique. I find it useful due to the fact that you can save presets for later games.
Having an issue with F4SE, when I try to launch it, it's just blank with the grey underscore blinking. Then like 10 seconds later it launches the game without F4SE.

I love the fact that FO4 keeps deciding to crash in survival mode when I use VATS after a long and careful go through a long subway area to lose all that progress because I decided to build up my crit bar trying to shoot a dog.

I'm still disappointed that I had to fiddle with the Elite leg guards myself to get them in game and the backpack with the new NCR isn't even in the game files. Those were like the two biggest things I was looking forward to when I was following the screens and Dogtooth's streams for them to just not be in the release.
Now, wheres a mod to merge the Quarry's topside with Vault 88? I'm kinda disappointed Bethesda didn't do that to begin with.

Edit: So it seems having lootable power armor frames was the culprit. It seems the mod author hid it also so I can't grab an updated version.
Is there a platform where you can share quest or location ideas with people, who work on huge fallout projects and still need small content to fill the world ? :v:

Hot damn, I just tried this solution and I can safely say it works perfect!
I quickly set the synchronization up, built a power room on my computer, then loaded the save on my phone and lo and behold, the power room showed up there too.
Destroyed the power room on my phone, saved, and then loaded the vault on my PC to notice the room was gone there too.
We should make a drive document for everyone's mod reccomendations. With mods by Facepunchers at the top.

i'll keep that in mind for the ghoul I currently have in it for refusing to stay off the greenhouse roof.
So is there not a mod to get rid of the green tint on the craft menu? Harder to pick paints if I can't see them
