Some more work-in-progress shots of the Vault I'm currently working on for the nVidia modding competition, now with improved lighting! [t]http://puu.sh/pCYNe/6abeeae1ed.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/pCYLi/ca48b6d0f6.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/pCYKS/e452a9ff5a.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/pCYKh/68c6fbf2f7.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/pCYMu/31438217da.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/pCYLR/a3150932c2.jpg[/t] Not sure about the fog effect yet, still needs some tweaking I think. [editline]23rd June 2016[/editline] Also still trying to find that glowing rad-dust-mote effect, would appreciate any assistance if anyone remembers where that is in the game.
Neat, is this a Vault that got re-inhabited by the Children of Atom or something.
Neat, is this a Vault that got re-inhabited by the Children of Atom or something.
Yeah, it's right under the blast zone from the Boston nuke, so it got totally fucked up and compromised - it's falling apart. The Children of Atom see this as the triumph of Atom over the heathen unbelievers who attempted to shield themselves from his power, and they've turned it into a giant church.
I'm replaying Fallout 4 for the first time in months and spent a good chunk of time fiddling around with the character creator, as usual. I decided to make a Sole Survivor & Spouse that are just normal looking--not really attractive, not goofy hideous, not badass, but just normal looking. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Rg6VIIS.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/iwOEgUY.jpg[/thumb] How'd I do?
You did good!
I was wondering something, is it possible to modify the console version of Fallout 4's .ini now since mods are allowed on it?

Has there even ever been a vault that failed accidentally and not because of vault tec experiments?
Have we got any 2D artists in the thread who might like to work with me on making some stuff for this vault project? Shouldn't be much work, some basic texture stuff (like new vault suits, vault re-numbering of textures, a logo, etc) [editline]23rd June 2016[/editline]
That's actually a really cool idea.
That's actually a really cool idea. Has there even ever been a vault that failed accidentally and not because of vault tec experiments?
Vault 3? Vault 13?
Also still trying to find that glowing rad-dust-mote effect, would appreciate any assistance if anyone remembers where that is in the game.
Is this what you're looking for? [thumb]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/4472-2-1449255311.jpg[/thumb] You could try looking at the mod in the CK to find the reference for it http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4472/?
there's one fatal flaw with all the fusion core videos/explanations they do not take into account the rate of diffusion for hydrogen gas. basically hydrogen is impossible to contain forever, it will eventually diffuse through your container, weakening it, and gradually lowering the content over time. Assuming it has hot pressurised gas, the rate of diffusion in those cores is going to drain them long before fallout 4
Considering the writers of fallout 4 forgot, on multiple occasions, that people would need to eat drink and shit at least once over a 200 year period, I feel this is the kind of science it's okay to ignore to facilitate a soft sci-fi setting.

I could have sworn there was something very very similar in the base game, but maybe it was just from True Storms, hm. Thanks either way!

One major issue though, how can I manually install this? I'll never be using NMM again after it seriously fucked up on me multiple times.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Rg6VIIS.jpg[/thumb] How'd I do?
This is hilarious, like Fallout done with Paul Blart :v:
This is hilarious, like Fallout done with Paul Blart :v:
Something's not right with this sentence.
If I was to go against my better fiantial judgement and buy Far Harbour, should I have maxed Valentine's affinity before going to the island or just go right there?
If I was to go against my better fiantial judgement and buy Far Harbour, should I have maxed Valentine's affinity before going to the island or just go right there?
His affinity adds nothing to the DLC. He just adds a few lines of dialogue with a couple of people. Just take him straight away.
If I was to go against my better fiantial judgement and buy Far Harbour, should I have maxed Valentine's affinity before going to the island or just go right there?
I would recommend maxing it so you can do his backstory mission, it opens up a lot and Far Harbour expands upon it, but its not required. I'd also say get the season pass if you can afford it instead of just the individual dlcs but that's just me.
One day after i bought NV with the "free" F4 credit and the game became Backward Compatible for xbox one I'll glady take it thank you very much
I released my economy rebalance mod, you can check it out here if you're interested http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15439/? I'm obviously biased but I've tested this a lot and I think I have a good mix between game balance and fun, being unable to spam stimpacks makes survival a lot more intense

Hopefully I can get a refund since I've not installed it yet. EDIT: Put in a refund request and unchecked 'install' for the DLC, so with luck that may get passed and I can still play the base game without fear of it downloading in the background.

Wait for that, because it might be on sale.

At least they do for me...
You can use a bunch of them to heal faster, but what I mean is you really don't want to get hit because even if you don't die you're going to run out of stimpaks a lot faster, in vanilla it's almost impossible to run out because they're everywhere For example vanilla you are guaranteed to find a stimpak in every first aid kit, with my mod you have something like 80% chance of finding a blood pack and 5-10% of finding a stimpack

Not until I got to high enough levels where I might survive and use one instead of a few of the 50+ mutfruits and purified waters my companion has on them at all times.
So after I rode the presidential metro, this happened: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/272847345202698244/A6D736DA3360EA3E3DF39CE3BCD072B383B29962/[/t] The second ed-e had no companion wheel, prompted to pickpocket him on mouseover, and later died during a battle in adams air force base. What an odd bug, never had anything like that happen before.
He's escaping from Adam's Air Force Base, like we get told in Lonesome Road. But now there's two of them...
Remember when I found real life Nate? Now I found real life Nora in Mission Impossible Rogue Nation. Well, she looked more like her in the movie? Okay, how about this: According to the Fallout wiki Nora is actually based on a young Diana Rigg: [t]http://i.imgur.com/qs6Wtax.png[/t] [t]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-O-2cFlEhE2E/UeuBATQtLuI/AAAAAAAAMSE/esiQDiLnQO4/s1600/DianaRigg-Avengers.jpg[/t] If you don't recognize Diana, this is her now: [t]http://cdn.thedailybeast.com/content/dailybeast/articles/2015/06/01/game-of-thrones-queen-of-thorns-diana-rigg-on-feminism-sansa-s-rape-and-paul-mccartney/jcr:content/image.crop.800.500.jpg/47773093.cached.jpg[/t]
Plus the summer sale is coming today. Wait for that, because it might be on sale.
Got that refund, and guess what's reduced in the Summer Sale? The season pass is still cheaper though. I don't know what the deal with season passes is though.
