Vive is going to be big at CES with their DK2 launch, so I can't really imagine Oculus sharing that thunder with CV1. The preorders are going to open this month for sure. I'm not going to toxx myself because that'd be retarded, but I'm incredibly sure they will :v:

Yeah, even if the Rift will be cheaper and has more games there's still going to be a lot of noise. And who knows what games will be announced for the Vive. God forbid Valve actually announces a new one. Rift pre-orders could still happen afterwards in January though.

Update: consumer Vive pre-orders start at the end of February, unless there's more delays.

Ugh, if Rift's pre-orders start this year and Vive only starts in February, that'll make it really hard to not just pre-order the Rift right away. I know that's stupid, but what if in February we all realise the Rift was the better choice but can't order it anymore because all pre-orders are 'taken'?
