This was in the SteamVR page's source code - it was a dead link yesterday but today it brings up this:

People are making concept renders based on the outline, here's two:

I thought consumer VR devices were going to include microphones?
Direct mode?
Only worked in Extended for me. They have a custom engine though, everything's buttery smooth and they have their own option for mirroring an undistorted view of the game to the monitor you launched the game from.

I like this one specifically because if you look closely you might see a familiar face.
ConVRge is interesting, but the theatre inexplicably does not load for me. RIP.

I like both of these... But I think that, if they really wanted to do something cool, they could make the headsets look like a piece of Aperture or Black Mesa tech rather than anthropomorphizing them like what's been done here. Instead of having the Portal one be a turret/core, style it more after the Portal Gun and the inanimate objects in the games. Instead of the Half-Life being an HEV suit, combine aspects of the HEV suit, the Gravity Gun, and Combine tech into some sort of hybrid between them.
That said, themed headsets is pretty awesome. I really hope they go that way.

If I can poke my eyes out with it, it's a combine design.

What if it reaches into your eyes and jacks directly into your optic nerves?

The most immersive VR headset since sliced bread.
Wouldn't it be fucking amazing if they called the new VR headset "Half-Life 3" arbitrarily
i.e. their entire reason for even entering the VR hardware space was just so they could set up a situation where HL3 isn't even a game anymore

the perspective on these is so hilariously bad

or that the half life franchise was built so that they could do this
Finally took some time to play BlazeRush.
Did nothing all day but play BlazeRush. It's so much fun! The volumetric particles make the action so much nicer to look at in VR.
I think BR is genuinely the most fun VR game I've played, it's just perfectly implemented
If you have a DK2, try this asap: http://www.birdykingland.com/#!accueil-eng/c1il8
Really well done demo/animation. Don't bother watching videos, just drop right in and enjoy the ride.
My university was doing an engineering day thing and some dude brought a dk2 and I tried it and omg it fucking owned
I tried the roller coaster demo in the lava thing and it was so cool
I want one now

Haha, damn, what a coincidence! I just got the chance to try out a DK2 and this was the demo they used! It was fucking incredible, I was hype for it before, but now...
All I can think about is the fucking Rift right now, I'll probably go back and see if they'll let me try it again.

Wow
You don't happen to go to the same university or something?

Yeah. Were actually sitting across from each other right now
No

The bird demo also captured the concept of scale in VR pretty well, especially with the [sp]train, megabird and LoTR statues[/sp]

lava inc is actually one of the worst demos

Yeah the train part was really well done
lava inc is actually one of the worst demos
Idk it was pretty cool? Didn't see anything too wrong with it
Though I went back and tried that French one that Orkel posted and that was way better
Lava runs like trash, everything else I tried was fine.
The physics really suck, too.

Vox machine looks great runs great and is fun.

He's the guy that made music for the last few Elder Scrolls games.

Also this is a pretty neat concept for a VR game:
