https://twitter.com/HeyHeyESJ/status/603686748376403970 Iribe says input at E3
I wonder what their approach is going to be. Are they going to follow valve and have an interface use two controllers you grip like a wiimote? Are they going to have some fancy glove you can wear and articulate each finger's movement? I gotta say I'm really curious. To me, user input takes third place place on the podium, with pixel density as first priority and field of view in second.

Also, gripping objects would be weird because you would just squeeze throught the object. Im gonna guess they have something like wiimotes/hydras
Google showed some new tech from their labs. Project Soli, finger tracking using radar, looks quite neat: (picked the version with subtitles because it's infinitely better)
Anyone have an experience with the Google Cardboard? It seems kinda neat and for 15 bucks, so I figured why the heck not. Worst case scenario I can cannibalize the lenses and 3D print a cooler version myself. My main worry is that my phone (a galaxy S4) might not really be good enough for the job, has anyone had good luck/horror stories with any particular type of phone?

Some of the more advanced demos might lag a little, but it'll probably be alright. Plus, the cardboard is hella worth it just for the fact that in the most recent update they added an official VR cinema app for it, and YouTube will be getting support for it soon. Perfect for laying in bed and watching shows on it, in my experience, even if the file support is a little strange (detects some mkvs and not others)

Which company's worth buying from if I've got an iPhone 6?

I finished assembling my Google Cardboard about and hour ago and Ive just been playing this the entire time: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oddknot.battle360vr&hl=en Playing it in the dark (so you dont get bleed in) with a good pair of headphones is just absolutely amazing pretty sure I have PTSD from the Stuka dive sirens :v:

Anyone have favorite youtubers for Oculus content?
Anyone with a Cardboard who doesnt already own Caaaaardboard! should absolutely buy it. Its probably my favorite Cardboard app so far. Bear in mind that you might need a fairly strong stomach to play it for extended periods. Ive been playing for about an hour and I feel pretty dizzy, and it takes a hell of a lot to get me motion sick. :v:
Anyone have favorite youtubers for Oculus content?
Theres his hyper-active Irish guy named Jacksepticeye that's done some Oculus stuff including Mirrors edge, rollercoasters, windlands, and a bunch of other stuff.

So if that ain't your cup of tea, steer clear.
That was implied with hyperactive.
There's also Ksic but he's a pewdiepie wannabe. Is subbed to him and everything, and has the same incredibly annoying style, copying pewdiepie in various areas. [editline]4th June 2015[/editline] Zimtok is a really chill guy for DK2 stuff, not sure if he has a youtube but you can find his twitch streams here: http://www.twitch.tv/zimtok5
yeah zimtok is cool enough
