Saw a news bit on the story studios thing on TV yesterday, the footage was someone running around in a lowfi unity game using a mouse and no occulus.
And that is what we call B-Roll.

As someone on Reddit noted, the fact Oculus is planning to release five VR films this year could be a big indicator that CV1 is planned for 2015 too.
haha oops! Definitely too many tabs open.
This Lost movie thing looks really promising, VR cinema is definitely a good route to go down

Yeah, I'd say that almost confirms it. Why would they release these films if they weren't shipping a consumer product? There doesn't currently exist a consumer VR solution that could handle these films in any meaningful way, outside of the Crescent Bay prototypes.

Quantas airlines will be including in-flight Gear VRs for first class passengers during a three-month experiment.

I think they should solve the drift problem due to aircraft's changing orientations first.

I admit that I didn't expect it to actually be creepy. I was like "oh, he's just doing the usual bollocks people do whenever they see anime things they're not used to" but then I opened the video and I realized that it was the actual creepy sort of creepy.
I think I'd start seeing that face in the dark.
Did you guys know?
Hatsune Miku has a royalty free model available for all to use, so the reason why you see a lot of creepy HM related things is because weirdo japanese devs using her for free in these projects.

I think it has to do with the shading. You can't shade anime characters like real people.

Although to be honest I think anything's face looks creepy if you shine a light upwards towards it.
And then he grabbed dem titties. For science.
Seriously, though. That video was really unnerving and creepy. I think I'll be staying far away from any Hatsune Miku simulators.

he didn't grab 'em, he pinched them like a crab on crack.
"...maybe little pinch?"
I was impressed by how accurate the hands were for the most part. It's the Leap, wasn't it?
the leap motion is awful
you notice that he had to keep the hands in very particular plain poses, or use only a single finger extended for it to work properly
don't buy it, it is a spazz simulator
Wasn't planning on buying it, but yeah, I see the specific poses he was using now.
