I feel like the loot starts to get better after level 20. I'm actually finding a decent variety of gear now, instead of either nothing or 4 gold on an enemy.
At around 30 purple starts dropping. That sexy purple goodness
[t]http://i.imgur.com/tSZVFrQ.jpg[/t] Got dam the Rift is pretty [sp]if only I could actually play like this[/sp]
I bought the game because I found it for under $20. I don't know if I'll like it based on what I played in the beta way back when, but for $20 I can't pass up an MMO.

Got Advanced Warfare, The Crew, and Sims 4 for relative pennies on launch day (like $30-$40 each on their respective release dates). Right now, Tamriel Unlimited is $20 while the deluxe edition is $40. All that said, this game is apparently FUCKING MASSIVE. [t]http://i.imgur.com/BGLUNjc.png[/t] Like, I don't know if it's wrong or if the initial 30~gb is just the base game without updates. [editline]9th August 2015[/editline] Oh god I was right. it was just the base game. now it's downloading another 30gb of just patches. Why couldn't it do it all at once :v:
Thanks, CD key sites aren't foreign to me, I live in Australia so it's either that or pay $80 AUD (60 USD) for it. 60GB total.. Did I mention I live in Australia :(.

When I still played it, every time you had to reinstall for some reason you had to download ALL the patches one after another and it took fucking hours, sometimes the whole day.

Especially when you take into account that delves, dungeons, and quest instances all account for map space that isn't even listed on the main map which is large just by itself.

I just find using the system of install base game -> then install patches to be sorta outdated.
I wonder how many people play this outside of Steam (which only has about 3k people on right now).

You can also find "The Lusty Argonian Maid Vol. 1 & 2" in the game as books :v:

I will say that my biggest problem in the game so far is that, for the most part, I feel sort of aimless. To the point where I have found myself just tearing through Stonefalls doing every sidequest, from east to west (and collecting every skyshard along the way). I guess that's the point, but I'm not really feeling any sense of accomplishment. I will say that, since beta, it has gotten much better.

I'll visit delves and stuff along the way as I work towards the achievement but that's sort of my queue of when I should be moving on to the next area.
Well, this only took 17.5 hours Of note is that I play a LOT of MMOs and this is probably the longest it has taken me to get past a 'starter zone'. Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna go lay down. Also, if anyone wants to add me, I'm an Argonian named Neer-La.

Two things I really hate about this game. One, you're basically everyone's bitch and npcs who need your help give some bullshit excuse why they can't just do it themselves. Two, the dialogue choices or lack thereof. There are barely any and always lead your character to say dumb shit like "Yeah i'll go rescue your family and kill that entire orc tribe by myself." Not leaving options for simple shit like "What's in it for me?" Or simply interjecting from time to time. The few choices you make are only for moral effect and as far as I've seen never have an actual effect on the quest reward.
I like exploring in this game and I get mildly annoyed by the fact that Tamriel is teeming with mobs that get in the way [editline]13th August 2015[/editline] I can't go anywhere without getting mobbed by bandits or Nix hounds or whatever

I'll tell you what really grinds my gears though; In the main storyline, when you rescue Abnur Tharn, and then everyone gets all hushed about how "The Vestige doesn't know" and finally the Prophet comes up and is like [sp]"Yeah I'm Varen Aquilarios, I just wanted to gauge you as a person before I dropped the identity of the guy who fucked up the mortal plane of existence for everyone."[/sp], which is a totally reasonable thing to do, and the only dialogue option is "I don't think I can trust you." Like man fuck any sane person would do the same and the writers so expect you to hate on him for it. Games shouldn't tell you how you feel, let alone in such a nonsensical and arbitrary manner.
A very large amount of choices in the game are arbitrary though. It's one of the things that was mentioned in that one Witcher 3 video about one of the early quest lines "Family Matters" and how there was a significant impact in the player's choices in a way that the player couldn't anticipate. Specifically: WITCHER 3 "FAMILY MATTERS" SPOILER [sp]When you are finishing the orphan's village quest and you choose whether or not to free a suspiciously confined spirit in a tree, and the spirit goes on a rampage massacring everyone in a nearby village. Not only this, but it ALSO pisses off the Crones causing them to turn the Baron's wife, killing her.[/sp] I could go into more length on that, but I really wish games would start putting more effort into their stories like The Witcher 3 did. Not every MMO's sidequests (and even main quests) have to be "go here, kill/fetch X, report here." Many of them lack substance enough to make me care why I'm going to go murder that goblin tribe, or why I'm going to go steal that item. Even quests where a character in the sidequest dies...it really doesn't make a difference on way or the other. My dad and I did a test to see if there was any impact from letting a character live or die in ESO, and there was zero. Not even the reward changed. Sure you got a few lines of extra dialogue for letting them live but...so what? I digress though. Here's the video, for anyone wondering:
Credit where credit is due, SWTOR is probably the only MMO where my choices have mattered in any meaningful way. Companion interactions, varied quest outcomes, and light/dark options. It isn't much, but at least it's something.

Wish ESO would've realized you don't have to follow the stereotypical MMORPG formula. I still got my money's worth but I would have played it significantly more if it had a better storyline, etc. Side note: when I realized who the prophet's VA was I couldn't stop picturing him as dumbledore :v:
can't speak on how it is for pc, but this is a great console MMO. if anyone has PS4 and wants to pal around, i'm a nightblade in ebonheart. also is it just me or are there more (and more annoying) mobs in the rift? can't seem to go anywhere without running into the worm cult or a pride of sabre cats
