If you know the defender's there, don't bother with stealth. The moment they know where you are, since a player has far more vision than the AI obviously, they're often going to try bumrush your ass and tear you a new one. At best, lure them one way and then go another to buy some extra time.

If you don't get spotted they can't get revenge on you. Though when a player counters you're pretty much shit outta luck in that respect. I always bring a lethal AR for when things go to shit.
Mission 10 spoilers: [sp]Holy shit I cannot believe my luck, after fultoning the third APC, I haul ass to the jeep, and what do I find? One of the sixth prisoners just taking a stroll near the bridge down from yakoo ooko whatever.[/sp]

yeah, Just went full nuclear on some dude and stole 20k fuel and 20k+ other shit, killed all his guards. He retaliated and then died on my first dude without me even having time to defend
anyone know much about nukes btw, have enough shit to build one but idk how they work or what they do.
in this online video game i mean not in real life

Since there's no [sp]Battle Gear[/sp] or anything to use them with, they're essentially to prevent people from raiding or retaliating on your FOB. However, if they have an extreme amount of heroism (aka endgame plus a little grinding), they can still raid anyway. [sp]A nuke is pretty much a guaranteed easy way to instantly accumulate a shitton of Demon Points too.[/sp]

I have done it, I have found the way
do you not like the dick gun?
I bet the flashlight silencer still breaks if you turn it on a dozen times
I'm at mission 30 and I still don't have D-Dog. I missed the prompt during a random mission where I was supposed to pick him up.
Am I fucked or can I go back and get him, and if so how?

You can, he's [sp]right near where you drop off in mission 3[/sp]

I first got him while running around in free roam so I think it can be at any time. I think if you had the chance to get him before you won't get the chance again though.

There really isn't. If you can get through without being seen that's great, but if another player shows up you're fucked. Personally speaking, I almost never win against a defender and I've never lost against an attacker. It's really unbalanced. Your best bet is to shoot your way through as quick as possible, and hope you clear out the enemies and make it to the end before someone joins in to fuck you up.
The only time a person will be able to show up to defend their FOB is if any AI on the FOB begins radio communications to note that you're on the base (This means if you've made some noise and one of the guys has heard it, he's gonna radio in suspicious activity). The moment that happens, you better finish killing/disabling the AI on the platforms before doing anything else in case the player comes to defend their FOB.
Once the defender is in, try to avoid them or kill them before you continue/begin stealing any resources before finally pushing towards the heart of the FOB. Also, if 5 minutes has passed, you can just take the teleport out and get away with the damage you've done, all the while keeping your soldier (unless you're playing Snake on an FOB mission which is kind of silly because playing as lower ranking soldiers nets you a higher espionage score).

[sp]Did I miss something or was the boss fight complete crap?
I blew up the water towers while he was under them and blew up the tankers while he was beside them and I was left running around for 10 minutes till it rained.
Overall this is the first bit that has made me really feel cheated in a way. It's just not an MGS boss fight.
Say what you will about MGS4 but the fight with Laughing Octopus or Crying Wolf had a bit more too it. It wasn't running around a large map looking for the chandelier to drop on the bosses head[/sp]
[sp]Once you knocked him out you were supposed to call a chopper in to pick you up. You'll have to be quick since he doesn't stay out for long. Apparently there's a ton of ways of taking him down (water pistol included) but the towers and some C4 are clearly the most obvious option since Miller himself says on coms that you should blow up the towers.[/sp]
Also, on the topic of FOBs, my emblem is a warning to other players with poor FOBs.
The icing on the Mission 45 cake is that [sp]quiet just leaves to live in exile or something. thanks, game, I really liked bonding with her and buying her expensive equipment to just not have her in the post-game.[/sp]
Listen to the tape you get when you do that. In fact, listen to all of them.
(major spoilers) Oh WOW, I completely forgot [sp]that's who Venom was. That makes the Paz subplot make a LOT more sense, and gives Venom some much-needed character development in a weird way.[/sp]
No [sp]she left to die alone, once she started speaking English (and a hell of a lot of it trying to guide Pequod to BB) the parasutes activated and she wasn't going to live[/sp]

My emblem is just a black sheep turned upside down. I don't know why, it's just the way things turned out and I'm okay with that.

[sp]It takes like a shitton of mags of the water pistol to knock him out. It's not worth it, but it does work, you just have to not stop shooting streams of water at him.[/sp]

I still can't customize guns. I did the side op forever ago. I'm in [sp]chapter 2[/sp]. I hate this. I just want to make guns.
Question for you guys who beat the game. I just beat Mission 31.
[sp]Do I have to do all of the Subsistence and Extreme missions to get the true ending?[/sp]
THERE'S THREE OF THESE FUCKING MISSIONS ARE YOU KIDDING ME

They're pretty easy.
Mission 17 is such fucking cancer its not funny. Props to the mission creator, he managed to make me ragequit after 8 attempts.

Thank you. I thought Peace Walker had a weird unlock path but here's Phantom Pain making it even weirder.
