This might have been answered before, but is there any way to add friends to your support list for the FOB system?
I keep trying to find my friend in the random tab under relationships, but we seem to find the same people but never each other.
Is there just no way to automatically add friends right now?
Ok I really like this game and I've been pretty forgiving for the stories shortcomings so far but Episode 30 spoils [sp]The fact that BB didn't say anything or show any kind of reaction during that jeep ride is just bad, made worse when the music kicks in and they just gaze into each others eyes for a minute or two.[/sp]
We're getting extra content?
We are getting MGO
major endgame truth spoiler [sp]I can't help but to feel a strange sense of sorrow and distress after I was revealed the truth, knowing the characters I knew, loved and related to wasn't real (in-universe)
never knew the phantom pain would get so meta[/sp]

[sp]It's just so fucking awkward. Especially when BB turns to the camera and stares at you instead of looking at Skullface[/sp]
But... this glitch shows how Loadout should look like. :v:

Is that one cutscene [Sp]where quiet attacks a soldier on motherbase[/sp] is mandatory?
Did I do something wrong or It had to be shown to me?
you'll figure it out in about 30 minutes.
honestly, if a game company released a huge update on 9/11, there would probably be a huge outcry by american patriots

there would be an article on some white pride tabloid site and not much else

Meh. I could see some conservative news sites having a headline saying "Japanese video game where you kill child soldiers updated on 9/11".
Hopefully this isnt a ruse
I'm feeling a lot of similarities with this and that fake Fallout ARG that happened a couple years ago, Don't get your hopes up.

Also even if it's real, it feels more like it's P.T. / Silent Hill related.

Apparently PT has a 9/11 reference.
quiet ending spoile [sp]you know, quiet has such a sweet voice for someone that doesn't speak
;_;[/sp]

And let's not forget the Phantom Pain gameplay footage from the Gamescom with P.T. emblems all over the place.
So how do you rate the game? Is it 10/10 or exaggerated? There's lots of stuff to do so can't give a final review/score and sort of avoiding the thread.
I'd give it an 85/100 so far. The gameplay is solid (no pun intended), the visuals are damn impressive, but the story just feels mismanaged. By that, I mean in order to make any progress in the story, you have to do the same work over and over again just in different settings. One mission is "extract this intel agent who has information about X", another is "extract this prisoner who might have information about Y", all the while occasionally getting important story cutscenes spliced in along the way. [sp]Not to mention that up until Chapter 2, it's just your generic bad guy who wants revenge story, with a villain who sadly comes off as a Saturday morning cartoon one by the end of it. And while Chapter 2 is a nice change of tone, you still have to do the same things (sometimes exactly the same things as before but now with a strict ruleset) to get the story going as well as a decent bit of "grinding."[/sp] The structuring just feels rushed, and it probably was given the ticking clock that Kojima had at Konami. I'm sure he had a lot more plans with the game, but just wouldn't have had time because his contract would be up by that point. Not to mention it being a new type of structuring compared to what Kojima did in the past (TV show vs. movie).
Maybe if the main missions felt a lot less generic and the pacing felt less rushed, it would get a 90 or 95 from me.

Peace walker 2 is pretty good.
However there's definitely signs that this version of the game was rushed.
Raiding the same stronghold/outpost in missions is dumb, I wouldn't mind side-ops did that but come the fuck on.
Then there's the typical "One button for everything" consoles usually have, I can live with this seeing as MGS has always been a console game, but still, the port isn't that great.
I've died more times to E fucking up, than anything else.
Also the story is kinda shite, but gameplay is great.
Those are my main problems with the game, otherwise I'd give it a solid 7-8/10, buy it if you are a fan, wait for sale if you never played any of the other games.
The game would've been 10/10 if Boss said anything but damn, yeah yeah its in cassette tapes but I wanted to have him actually interact with people talking to him like in idk every other mgs game ever...
kept you waiting huh

doubt it would be made a huge deal. I mean for fuck's sake MGR had this

GOOD OL' 9/11
Doubt it will actually happen because it would make no sense even more with Konami firing Kojima
Actually, I just realized something. What if having the story feel mismanaged and lacking was intentional by Kojima? He wanted it to feel unfinished, to make us want something that isn't there. To give us our own phantom pain to experience.
If so, then I revise my rating to this.

Agreed. It would have been nice if he had at least a little bit of his personality left.

leaving a game unfinished might or might not be an artistic choice
what it objectively is is leaving a game unfinished
Goddamn, the Subsistence version of Occupation Forces is hard as fuck.
The tanks managed to get to where they were going, and I had to ultra stealth my way in to fulton them. Just about managed it.

Apperently there's a fairly large amount of cut (and already recorded!) dialog for Snake, including "You're Fired!" and actually talking during the scenes with[sp]Paz[/sp].
Also anyone have any tips on doing the late game combat deployments? I'm up to "Rescue the peacekeepers", and no matter who I pick I can't get more that 60% success rate with predicted 20% Losses.
Is there any tactics other than 'get loads of s rank combat guys and send them all in together'?

Send all your S guys to missions.. They will climb up to S+ and eventually S++. I am currently "training" all my combat ops members that way before I tackle the "Rescue the Peacekeepers" mission.

Aight, I'll just grind the shit out of them then. Thanks.

Sort of agreed.
Kiefer honestly did a great job with Snake in my opinion, but we really should've heard more of him. I don't think it should've been as much as in the previous games given the premise and tone of the game, but it just feels weird not having him interact with the other main characters as much. I understand that Kojima wanted Snake to show emotions more through subtle facial expressions than words, but sometimes it's nice to have words go with those expressions to drive the emotions home more.
Though I have to disagree with those who are saying they would've preferred Hayter. Hayter's voice is great, but it wouldn't really fit the tone of the game at all. You can see this in any of the videos made that edit in Hayter's voice over Sutherland's. Hayter's voice was great for the tones established in the previous games (though he was really pushing it in MGS4 to be honest), but it comes off as out of place in any of the cutscenes in GZ or TPP. And Hayter's voice just doesn't fit the face anymore, though that just may be because of the facial capture.

people seem to forget that most of kief's work is the facial capture

hayter couldn't have done this
look at kaz for example, downes is a great voice actor but he's not an actor, miller's face is stoic and static most of the time because of that fact
