Just did mission 8 and completed a bunch of side objectives in one go (fulton all tanks, all vehicles)
What do you get when you combine a legendary soldier, a horse-roadblock, EMN mines, C4 and a cardboard box?

An A rank annoyingly. Guess next time I should bring an AA launcher instead of calling for chopper support
chopper support restricts your rank to not go past A so yeah do that
42 is awful number, did you use her as buddy?
i started the mission with quiet, noticed her in the cutscene and alt+f4d because i didnt want to fuck my save up
guess i'll just repeat a mission i guess
Finished with the saga of Solid Snake! MGS4 was good but IMO a bit too long and heavy.

Now on to Peace Walker..
I accidentally did what is supposed to corrupt save so after realizing that then I replayed older mission and now after restarting game it seems it didn't corrupt, or does it corrupt later? I am scared, or did I get lucky?
And what is that? Or is it a spoiler?
i havent connected online since i built my fob and honestly i'm scared to
what if i log in and it just takes tons of shit from me
And what is that? Or is it a spoiler?
Probably the whole 'Quiet as a partner on missions 29 and 42' or something like that.
move aside, revolvers and shotties

It is as annation every time you launch the game, pretty much mission 29 and 42 can corrupt your save if you use [sp]Quiet[/sp] as buddy.
Apparently music will sometimes play in [sp]Quiets[/sp] cell, I was listening to some tapes when all of a sudden "You spin me right round" started blaring from downstairs :v:

I built my FOB like, 5 days ago and I've been invaded once. (And the guy lost)
I don't think anybody will bother you unless you invade them.

Same here. I'm going to retaliate against the guy who attacked my FOB that one time eventually, but I've fortified my FOB like crazy regardless.
How do you unlock the ability to customize rocket launchers? Only weapon that i cannot customize.
You need to develop them until you get versions with option slots.
I don't get people who say any of the previous Metal Gear games are too long. As long as it's paced right, which the MGS games always are, the longer the better.
I really love to sink my teeth into a game and explore it for as long as possible, so MGS4 was the perfect length for me.
And what is that? Or is it a spoiler?
Playing mission 29 or 42 with Quiet as a buddy will cause it.
So mission 30 is fantastic for farming staff :v:

MGS1 is pretty short, all things considered, and MGS2 isn't all that long. It only seems that way if you do it in one run because of how much story there is. MGS3 also is pretty compact for what it sets out to do, I pretty much went from the beginning of Operation Snake Eater to Groznyj Grad's first visit in one night's playthrough.
To me MGS4's pacing is frustratingly time-consuming even though it's not all that long by itself either.
just completed mission 43[sp]I'm depressed now. I turned off my helicopter music because I don't want to hear it after that[/sp]

How many of those A+ staff are troublemakers though?

I had Intel Scope 3 so I avoided all the trouble makers!
How do I get resources faster? I'm on like mission 20 and have way more unprocessed materials than processed. Level 2 platforms of everything I think. 3 is like 18000 of a resource

Higher base development team level is what you need.

I guess my problem with MGS4 was pacing. The times when I sat down to play didn't really sync up with the Acts at all, and whenever I hit an act break the sheer volume of cutscenes was pretty overwhelming. Several cutscenes in a row, then the act break and save, then the briefing, then another set of intro cutscenes... it kind of dragged for me. It was getting to the point where I would be like "I kind of want to play more Metal Gear, but if I play for an hour I don't want to spend half that time sitting and watching a block of cutscenes". Plus it sometimes felt like they took fifteen minutes to explain something that could have easily been done in ten.
Sure it was weird in MGS2 when they went "let's go to codec now even though we're the only people in this room" but that little bit of variety helped break it up a bit. Although the codecs from Drebin explaining the B&B corps weren't great so I don't know what I want. And the cutscene length never bothered me in previous games.
MGSV's FOB system really needs a way to support or invade your steam friends. I don't want to support some random guy who I don't know, I want to support my friends.

Sadly not true.
I haven't had anyone invade my FOB yet, and I've had the game since launch. Probably because my security team is made up of shit soldiers and I have no resources there.
Sadly not true.
i guess i'll eventually connect when mgo launches and inevitably lose everything and everyone i've ever known and loved
For the record, you do not need to finish Quiet's storyline to unlock the true ending, nor do you need to fully upgrade Mother Base. The base just needs to be mostly done.
The sad thing is that the hackers who raid FOBs are either playing fairly with their GMP/resources, after soldiers specifically, or doing it for the hell of it because it's incredibly easy to just hack your GMP past the limits with no consequence, not to mention have infinite resources.

You could always exchange GMP to resources.
Just started the [sp]Paz side story thing[/sp]
I'm assuming you have to do the rest of the [sp]wandering motherbase soldier[/sp] missions to progress?
What's this about a big update tomorrow?
