I'm at mission 40 but is the rest of the game disappointing in terms of story?
You still have the best mission to go story wise, so not entirely.

Are there any crazy Side Ops? Like, PW kinds of crazy? So far all the Side Ops have been pretty boring (the non-important ones atleast)
I'm only up to mission 16 (currently grinding so I can unlock the upgraded fulton), without using spoilers can someone tell me if there's a way to lock myself out of 100% completion? And any advice to prevent it?

Unlike Peace Walker, No.
Felt like more of a waste of time to go through the Extra Ops in this. And i can only deal with heavies for so long.

Now that's disappointing.
Has any website done a spoilercast/ending chat video yet? I really want to hear other peoples thoughts and input on the ending, but every creditable site/YT channel seem to only be making spoiler free videos for the most part.

The only ones are the Wandering soldier ones, which aren't all that wacky once you've done the first one and get the jist.
It's a shame that there's no silly side ops considering it looks and plays so much better than Peace Walker. The Monster Hunter side-ops were fucking terrible in PW but I wouldn't mind playing them in TPP's engine.

Should had been 10 of them, all in one place, all at once :v:

There are, they're called "Eliminate the wandering puppets", and they ain't as fun as they should be.

I am devastated at the lack of pooyan tbh.
Most of the side ops are just fillers, which is kinda dissapointing. I was hoping for some unique quests but I keep doing the same things over and over again.

What drugs are they on anyway :v:
I got scared when one of those guys kicked me.

Well there are the story based side ops, but like 90% of them are fultoning escaped African children.
Wow, I once actually want to do some FOB shit and I can't log in to the servers anymore. Great. MGO3 will be a disaster. :v:

Anyone got the link to the thread? I'd love to see every person's reaction to this.

I was hoping they'd go for something more along the lines of The Witcher 3, the gameplay is great but fultoning the same things over and over again gets very quickly on my nerves.
I beat the game and now I'm looking at all the cut content. This is meta as fuck. Even the game itself has phantom limbs.

Witcher 3 ends up going to the circle on your map, use your witcher senses, go to red thing, red thing leads to trail, kill thing at end of trail.
rinse and repeat. love TW3 but yeah, it is fairly repetitive.
and idk, I like the side-ops in mgsv :c
I don't hate the Side Ops either, but I'm halfway done with them and all I keep getting are the same ones over and over and over again, except in different locations. I finished all the important, "unique" ones.
Now that's disappointing.
Sucks because I wish they added "Date Kaz" or "Date Ocelot" in MGS5. :saddowns:
[ending spoilers]
[sp]the last tape with Zero visiting Snake in his coma was the saddest fucking thing[/sp]
imo open world was a mistake. It makes all the missions repetitive, you have to watch BB sit in a helicopter for a minute like 300 times, and you can't really do anything in free roam besides farm resources.
EDIT: and it restricts the way cutscenes can be inserted
Yeah, the game not having 'real' extra ops is a massive disappointment. In PW, they were proper length missions, here they're just "Go here, shoot three guys, mission over in 25 seconds"
I feel this game tries to be too serious and ignore all the whacky nonsense that makes the series so great.

PW had the problem of every mission, including the end missions being over in 5 minutes (I guess coz it was a portable game)
Also fuck the bosses in PW, esp the harder ones which were just bullet sponges for 45 minutes
End game tape spoilers[sp]Now that I remember, did anyone else find it hard to place when each tape was supposed to be with the Truth Records? I spent half of each tape trying to work out exactly when it took place. It would have been useful if each entry was dated.[/sp]
I just wanna know when the convo between [sp] kaz and ocelot after the credits too place[/sp]
I just finished Mission 19 (or 20) [sp]Devil's House, holy fuck that was sinister.[/sp]
Also I do actually like Big Boss being somewhat silent, I think his facial reactions add a lot to everything and I feel like it gives his words more weight as people care a ton about what he has to say, hell it makes it seem almost special when he does speak. I also really like how restrained he seems, especially evident when he's interacting with Chico, Quiet the African kids. Compare that to how he treats [sp]Huey[/sp]
But it would've been nice if he spoke more, at least in the beginning of the game to set his mindset up more :v:
