You go colorblind in the hospital in the very first mission. It also effects blood on the ground and shit as well. In fact, anything red.

No, its not like saying some huge chicken in Portal 2 is canon, [sp]the cut episode literally ends showing how liquid and baby mantis get their start. What happened to Sally-Mech and the kids, its not wishful thinking, its an end to shit the game itself builds up, it was an integral part of the story, its not like the cut content was entirely new shit, it was nothing but closure, it is canon or else they wouldnt have shipped it with the CE for people to see. [/sp]
And, as I recall, in the first mission it is after you have a bit of a fall (Due to Man on Fire), which was the exact circumstance in the Cut 51st Episode too.
I had to wait 24 in-game hours for [sp]my nuke.[/sp]
Use a trainer, that's just unacceptable imo
You don't even need to destroy the dishes, just destroy the radio equipment in one of the huts. Found that out after an hour and felt really dumb.
You can destroy the dishes with a gun, takes less than a full clip of the standard soviet assault rifle to do so, too. But destroying the radio is the easiest way.
HOLY FUCK. NO.
I forgot to not use [sp]Quiet[/sp] on Mission 42 and now progress is halted. Is there a fix for this or am I permafucked?
Replay mission 41/42 using one of your motherbase recruits.

That's why I said more often.
It happens once in the hospital and later Venom talks about it with Ocelot. That's it.
I even took some screencaps myself: http://abload.de/img/2015-09-06_000282bul9.jpg
It was supposed to happen way more often, and was even integrated in [sp]the Paz subplot[/sp] that's why it would have made more sense to reappear in [sp]Mission 51.
They just cut the whole backstory with the colorblindness altogether.
The mission is not in the game and classified as cut content. The base game does not tell me anything about it so it's not part of the universe, it's that simple.
I know everyone is upset about the story arcs going nowhere and most of the narratives being absolute shit but this doesn't make the cut mission canon.[/sp]

You are really really against the canon closure that just happened to be cut. Its like the last thing you want right now is the closure they legitmatelly gave us.
If they never wanted it to ever be intended as canon they never would have released it for people. It never would have come on disc with the CE.
Its so fucking weird how against you seem to be with what is an actual good ending, thats also canon and wraps things up nicely.
does TO BE CONTINUED appear at the end of like every mission now post 29 or so? nothing suspenseful even happened and it just went TO BE CONTINUED and its really fucking dumb because its just screwing with the pacing now
honestly I really wish they had gone with a pacing that was more akin to the main mission of ground zeroes.
I think it was a good balance of cutscene to gameplay - no particularly long, intense cutscenes, and each really mixed well with the gameplay seamlessly.
i'm growing to be okay with the more individualized mission centered aspect of certain things given that this game is supposed to sort of be a rise to power, and take time - you're not just going to get straight to cipher overnight. however, that said, longer ops are always appreciated and feel better. so i wish that all of the missions (i've only had 2 so far) that do the "to be continued" thing really just dived straight back into the mission with no return to the ACC. it would make certain parts of the game feel a little more dramatic and intense, and raise the stakes.
The weird thing is why the hell would the game end with [sp] a shot of the New York skyline with the Twin Towers still standing with Eli saying its not over yet [/sp]? It has to have some significance
[sp]might have had something to do with Zero at some stage of development and they left it in i guess, since he was hiding in Hell's Kitchen and all[/sp]

half the shit that happens in official Metal Gear canon never happened in-game, lmao
The cut mission was clearly intended to be in-game, and was probably cut purely because of Konami pushing for a release. Nothing else replaces this and wraps up the story arc, so as far as most people are concerned, mission 51 is canon. Unless something happens in an update, of course.

That the [sp]Twin towers are still standing[/sp] really isn't all that weird, dude. It's 1984, after all.
i love how people can say the cut mission wasn't canon when the endgame timeline even states the events of that mission in it
Well to be fair it references that [sp]Eli set up the kingdom of the flies, but not that Venom defeated him/sahelanthropus or that Eli and Mantis escaped.[/sp] Canonically it's all just left uncertain.
Playing with yourself.

There is also [sp]No confirmation that the Gas Mask kid is Mantis, other then the fact they look similar[/sp]
Anyway, related to the ending
[Sp]as much as I enjoy the ruse cruise, I feel kinda hurt and betrayed by it. It's the end of the series and we all wanted to see Big Boss turn evil and make Outer Heaven and shit, but instead all the character development of Big Boss got thrown out the window with "lol Big Boss is doing all that cool shit you wanted to see somewhere else, and you're actually playing as some dude you never had any reason to give a shit about previously". After getting revenge on Skull Face it seems like the story really had no other direction or purpose; you just kinda sat around waiting for shit to happen with Eli, and then the mission that wraps that up got cut anyway. Just not a good way to end a series, IMO.[/sp]

"They" gave us nothing. I suppose it just landed on the disc because Kojima was frustrated.

That's not true if you pay attention and read the the stuff that comes with the game.
And how was my post dumb in your eyes? I actually pointed out some facts and argumented instead of going "lmao"

I don't remember a single appearance of the Boss in the game [sp]just the AI pod[/sp], so that's pretty fucking interesting.
Could that texture be for MGO maybe?
Also did anyone get mega pumped at the intro of the game when the Lori Allen credit popped up?
reminds me.
How did Snake get [sp]the same scar in PW?[/sp]
[sp]It was a fake scar he used to smuggle in that lockpick thing because he's ridiculously prepared.[/sp]
Weren't some of you talking about a flashback to the end of MGS3 being the original CQC tutorial? It would be from that.
reminds me.

That's a point, (mega spoils Re ending) [sp]Venom doesn't have that scar in V, so that should have tipped off everyone that Venom isn't BB. Either that or Kojima decided that the scar isn't cannon anymore.[/sp]
As someone who bothered to quarantine, I only lost 28 guys. It took a while to sort them out, but I felt it was worth it.
On another topic, is there an easy way to get fuel resources? I want to max out my base but it takes a huge amount of fuel.
I only lost a lovely total of 12.
Don't know how I even managed it. :v:
[sp]It was a fake scar he used to smuggle in that lockpick thing because he's ridiculously prepared.[/sp]

That was Zero's and Ocelot's idea, not his.
And yes, he did say he belonged on the battlefield. Because he's been a soldier since he was a child and knows no other life.
He still went through with it.
if it where MGO customization it would have skin tone varients, ive seen the MGO base body textures i posted earlier in 4 tones, white, tan, brown, and black, ive only seen this one texture, no other varients.
ARG is for Chapter [sp]3[/sp] patch about Boss and the Cobras storming Normandy during WWII.
