I still don't see why I should choose her instead of DDog if I'm going non-lethal.
DDog is better at marking enemies (and everything else), his takedown doesn't give a shit about the targets armor.
He has shitty AI, but I've only seen him fail two times during my playthrough.
use silenced wicked butterfly and she's easily the best buddy for any situation. its pretty funny getting an alert and by the time you've knocked out one guy quiet has put the rest of the base to sleep for you.
[sp]sahelanthropus wasn't fully armed, and most of its parts were still under construction even by the time skullface did the whole WHOOOOO thing, and really anyone could be big boss if they were good enough as a soldier (and it explains how bb was somehow so limber and spry in this even at his age)[/sp]
But this can't [sp]be the end, right? The game doesn't feel finished at all
Where is Zanzibar
I'm a bit sad now[/sp]
I think the [sp]skulls[/sp] fights are some of the worst boss fights in MGS. All the other games I have fun fighting those fights because they have gimmicks or interesting ways of beating them.
But the [sp]skulls[/sp]? They're basically bullet sponges with quicktime prompts that don't even show up all the time.

[sp]Most of chapter 2 and all of chapter 3 got cut, that's why it feels unfinished.[/sp]
problem i have w/ ddog is he barely listens to me telling him to chew off peoples dicks and he is really annoying in the acc
just sitting there acting like he hasnt drank anything in years, loud as hell
He also gets in the way of you firing shots in the prone position. What a Dumb Dog.
Mission 45 still sucked ass, but at least the closure for [sp]Quiet[/sp] sort of made up for it. Was pretty nice.
With everything done now, I can safely say the ending felt incredibly rushed and unfinished. The whole game was great, but it felt like it just ended abruptly with no actual closure.

That's what I tried to do. She just plinks off the helmets of each soldier instead of double tapping.
Besides, I'm trying to go full stealth so entering alert isn't what I want.
That's where ddog is amazing. If there's two guards, order him to attack, while they are distracted by the dog charging you can easily take them out.

Yeah that's his retarded AI at its worst. Stay command would have fixed this, if he actually obeyed.
[sp]it is the end, there was a 51st episode (check youtube) to explain eli and the kids, but konami happened;
most of the game's problems either stem from konami being tight on funding, kojima possibly wanting too much and giving unreasonable demands to konami, or all of the above[/sp]
[sp]I can't fucking believe this, how could they shit all over this piece of art
The budget of MGS4 can't have been that much lower then this, right?[/sp]
[sp]hence what i said about kojima, i can bet there was a lot of shit that was made, cut, then remade again, then cut etc.[/sp]
So I guess [sp]we'll never see the rest of this story?[/sp]
So I guess [sp]we'll never see the rest of this story?[/sp]
[sp]With Kojima leaving? No, never. Maybe if he writes about what could have been, but there's probably NDAs on that for the next decade.[/sp]
If anyone's having trouble with the skulls for that one extreme mission, try researching one of the anti-material sniper rifles. That worked far better than D-walker for me.
so I guess Huey doing a Really Bad Thing doesn't count as a spoiler since we've all been mentioning it so much? cool to know thanks
Kojima missed a huge opportunity to use [sp]Decoy Octopus[/sp]
I hope MGO has a mode where you can just screw around with friends. That was my favorite thing in Portable Ops Plus.

Before matches you have a small little map free roam with the other players before you vote for the match setups it seems, or something like that.

[sp]I have a feeling that Big Boss met a lot more interesting people in his journey in Africa than Venom did, if Decoy Octopus was even there (he could be like Vulcan Raven, who joined FOXHOUND/OuterHeaven in the 90's rather than the 80's.[/sp]

If the bonus for killing someone who killed you in MGO isn't called "a lust for revenge" I'm going to be disappointed.
And to think I felt bad for [sp]Huey[/sp] at the beginning. :v:
I just noticed i have 32 hours in the game, im at mission 17 and it still looks like i have a long way left
Also Does killing a lot of people affect a mission ranking?
It's weird how much the hype turned on its head. The gameplay footage, besides certain things (like D-Dog not being in Africa and missing the seeming mini-scene of him being near his presumed mother's body), was dead accurate to what we wished and we honestly got what we expected - Peace Walker 2.0. But the trailers implied so much, and yet despite preview press events more then easily indicating to us that the game's story was going to be far less in amount besides the tapes, we presumed there was still a shitton of story content and things we weren't seeing.
[sp]Instead a vast majority of the story had scenes in the trailers, just out of context, and the game itself was easily predicted in its near-entirety just by both normal and fringe theories. And hell, some trailer and gameplay scenes weren't even in the final game at all.[/sp] Now the game's turned from "this is going to be the best MGS ever" to "this is the worst MGS game of them all" in around a week after release.

Killing does negatively affect it, but getting headshots also gives you a ridiculous amount of points.

Story? yes
gameplay? no
Story? yes

I'm speaking general reception. Which includes a lot of people with extreme generalizations. The gameplay is awesome, but after a point those chopper rides combined with travel and other things tend to get pretty tiresome, not to mention each mission is, at their basics, 'extract this' or 'blow up this' besides very specific story missions. I'm not even to [sp]Chapter 2[/sp] yet and I hear the game's pacing goes to absolute hell at that point.
And to think I felt bad for [sp]Huey[/sp] at the beginning. :v:
I mean, it's still pretty sad. [sp]The dude's totally lost it. He doesn't even realize how insane he is, up to the very end.[/sp]
Definitely an interesting character though.
Is there a use for precious materials other than selling it?
Right now I could make a LOT of money from my PM.
Man I know there are consequences, but I just love to kill people in MGSV.
The game makes combat so much more satisfying than it should be in a metal gear.
So, I finally got around to finishing the game proper, and I have to admit, I'm a lot less down on the story now. Given, it raises a lot more questions than answers and doesn't really close things, but I still found it rather enjoyable.
The only thing that sucks is [sp]the fact that most of the missions in Chapter 2 are just repeats of previous missions with certain rulesets. Those really shouldn't have to exist and just add unnecessary padding in order to get to the ending.[/sp]
I will agree that it does seem like a lot of things were cut from the game, and whether that's intentional on Kojima's part, or Konami just wouldn't let Kojima finish it with the whole falling out between them, it is rather disappointing.
Seriously, I can't remember the last time I played a game that was so enjoyable, yet disappointing.
I guess you could say I'm right in the middle in my opinion on this game. I'm not giving it praises out the ass, but I'm not saying it's shit either. Overall, I liked the game, but just wish it had more to it in terms of story. What we do have is enjoyable enough though, and it's better than nothing.
If the choice was in the game coming out in the state it's in now, or never coming out at all, I'd take the former personally.

Precious Materials are used in certain RnD projects. They're also used to deploy into the field with certain items (stun grenades). Try not to oversell your resources, but you can let go of some if you're low on GMP.
