quiet endgame spoiler
I just noticed that [sp] Quiet's photo in the chopper is gone after she left, made me a little bit more sad after her departure. She was hilariously useful. [/sp]
I already miss [sp]her amazing scout ability. it was fun infiltrating a base knowing most of the enemy's location while having a powerful sniper backup[/sp]
how long did it take people to finish MGS4 when it came out?
sort of disappointed to see people posting endgame spoilers already
Successful FOB defense is a good way to get shitloads of GMP but that aside I don't really think so
you just get rid of the emblem
[sp]but if you lose your waifu, what is the point of laifu[/sp]
Wait, so you have to leave your emblem as a butterfly forever[sp]or else Quiet leaves?[/sp]that's really shitty.
you're going to need to be specific about where you are in the game
if you've done every important sideop and go back and forth to motherbase a lot, you should get a cutscene or some trigger for the final op
Do you have to do the dispatch mission were you [sp]Deploy the Battle Gear?[/sp]
I'm just waiting on that to finish

It's not like the other MGS games (except for PW because grind) were very long, my first MGS4 playthrough took 18 hours.

You can, with cheatengine. Open cheatengine, open the .exe file in processes there and select speedhack and a speed (200 makes 4 hours ingame go in like 30 seconds iirc)
nope, i've yet to even see any with that requirement yet
what main op are you on
43, I've beaten the main story stuff except [sp]The Quiet missions which I have yet to unlock[/sp]
[sp]I've also done all the Paz cutscenes.[/sp]
The one thing I feel like is missing from the game, besides the cut content of course, is the ability to deploy other diamond dog soldiers as buddies.
Just seems like a really obvious thing that wasn't added.
when in doubt people, fuck around with side-ops or missions and come back to motherbase for results
solves everything

[sp] Quiet's Departure [/sp] has made me appreciate alot of the other buddies in the game though.

I think DD does scouting better, he can't run ahead and provide ammo like Quiet but atleast with DD, he detects everything around you and is flawless at it, meanwhile Quiet can still miss soldiers wandering about, he even mark people inside buildings which Quiet can't see. And plus, finding out prisoner locations has never been so easy.
Plus at one point I was doing a total stealth mission and I had removed every enemies in the area, I had shut off the power too to make it more easy for me. Was walking around the perimeter and saw that Quiet is actively aiming at something, I'm thinking it must be a soldier walking around that I haven't removed yet, I come around the corner and she's fucking pointing her rifle at a powered down camera.. nice. Thanks quiet.
why is it when inside a building my screen is filled with like dots? i cant see shit.
its a problem with some nvidia cards, restarting the game fixed it if anybody else is having issues.
Well hopefully in the future they'll add some form of New Game +, which let's you keep your MB and upgrades.

Quiet isn't the only one with stupid habits honestly, DD has a tendency to get right up in the blast radius of explosive effects and walk in front of you when you're trying to snipe.
dd also has a tendency to RUN IN FRONT OF MY CAR when I'm carrying a wounded, unfutlonable prisoner in my jeep
bond with dd decreased
if you skip all the cutscenes mgs4 can be easily beaten within 2-3 hours
the same could not be said for tpp
I wish this game had more cutscenes, a lot of the stuff in tapes need to be cutscenes and not some small "oh by the way, we talked to x about important plot device y, it was really important, here's a small recording of it."
What's a good way to level up your units? I've beaten the game and they're still pitifully low. Highest I have is level 31.

Seen some shit.
Just wandered into a room on the medical platform at motherbase and triggered a pretty important Cutscene. I don't like how these can be missed if you're not careful.
Very early game spoilers [sp]The parasite unit is fucking terrifying I didn't sign up for this shit I just wanted to fight clueless russians[/sp]
About Quiet & ending: [sp]So basically if I want to keep using her I need to have the butterfly emblem enabled. After I think I'm done with the game, I can just remove it and that will trigger the mission to continue her storyline, since by that time all the other requirements should be met, and after that I can get the "real" ending since finishing the Quiet storyline is a requirement for that. Is this how it works?[/sp]
Fuck those 56%, mai waifu completes me.

I like how enemies aren't all about conevision anymore. They easily spot me from afar now and call in other guards to check it out. Really good, and slightly harder.
I think I might have done A Hero's Way as fast as physically possible, I was going to do that hot insertion thing from the gameplay demo but I must have killed him with the doorgun on the way in because as soon as the helicopter 'landed' it took right back off and I got mission complete. :v:

isn't that kind of a spoilery picture to just put out there like that
I think my favorite addition to CQC in this game is the ability to grab an enemy's gun and hold them up with it.
That is so fucking cool.
does this mean it will come in a future update or no?
It's probably just pure speculation and rumors right now. None of that shit has been confirmed and it's annoying seeing people talking like it's fact. Just because there's a video of cut content doesn't mean they're going to release it later.
