haha holy fuck i just s ranked episode 40 because [sp]quiet's ai[/sp] got hung up on the active decoy I put out. they kept on bouncing back and forth between two spots trying to hit the decoy and i hit them every time they changed spots. they didn't even notice me.

MGSV HUEY SPOILS [sp]Are we /really/ surprised that Huey is a complete bastard? I mean, when he found out his son fucked his wife, he tried to take his stepdaughter down with him! He gave a child hydrophobia because his wife wasn't satisfied with him in bed, and I think that should clue in to what kind of person he is (also what kind of person she was, but I digress). On another huey-hate note, it's funny to realize that Huey is the only one who /gained/ part of his body after XOF attacked motherbase, contrasted to Miller who lost an arm, a leg, and so much more.[/sp]

Also love how ambiguous the game makes how much of a shitlord he was because he denies and lies about every detail; his expulsion is such a bitter sweet moment.[/sp]

Soooo is there literally no way to link up with steam friends in FOB missions? Either to defend them or rob them. And invasions are incredibly not fun and a bad portion of the game but I still love that goofy smile Snake does when he reaches the objective. It's like THE ONLY TIME HE MAKES A FACIAL GESTURE IN THE ENTIRE GAME.

I wonder if, had Huey's death not been detailed in mgs2, we would have had the choice whether to kill him ourselves or ship him off- hell, I would have been happier being given the choice whether to make my game partially noncanon or not.[/sp]

mission 18 spoilers [sp]so i just finished 18, got the kids to the chopper after having them constantly rush ahead of me like assholes (only after getting to the chopper did i see the 'wait' command, all along i thought there was only a 'go'), tranqing 500 fucking guys and fultoning them all, i put the cripple onto the chopper and hop on, thinking surely they can get onto the chopper themselves cue pequod departing without them, me yelling at him/myself HOLY FUCK PEQUOD GO BACK YOURE LEAVING THE CHILDREN BEHIND and i can only imagine if this was reality they would be crying and then im greeted with this screen: http://i.imgur.com/zemtizG.png most undeserved S rank ever id say[/sp]

(THEORY AND HUGE SPOILERS) [sp]Big Boss, Kaz, and Ocelot were working for Zero the whole time, because Zero offered them something they couldn't refuse: The opportunity to take revenge on Skullface. So, they turn the Medic into a body double of BB, after a not really coma, then put him in command of Diamond Dogs, with the objective to take their revenge on Skull Face for sinking the now four's dreams to the bottom of the ocean 9 years ago, all while zero lays in his bed and cackles maniacally. The true ending happens as normal, with BB revealing that Venom isnt actually BB, and then many years pass, during which Big Boss works his way back into the leadership position of the FOXHOUND Unit, Venom builds Outer Heaven behind zero's back, and he recieves the same 'parasite therapy' that Quiet recieved to reconstruct her body after Ishmael burned her, so as to repair his shrapnel wounds and remove his horn. The year is now 1995. Big Boss sends Gray Fox to meet up with Venom in preparation for the beginning of his final revenge against Zero. His first move is an attempt at killing Liquid and Solid, the clones Zero created in his image. He closely collaborates with Venom throughout the entire mission, whilist also commanding solid. However, Big Boss's mission is a failure, and Snake finally kills 'big boss' in Outer Heaven. However, he is infact killing Venom. After which, the real Big Boss is forced to go into hiding and make his last stand at Zanzibar Land, with the rest of the series happening as we know it from this point on. Also, at some point during all this Kaz and Code Talker slip away from Outer Heaven and turn over a new leaf, founding "Mc Donnell's", and American fast food chain specializing in hamburgers. They collaborate with some of the best scientists from the R&D group at Outer Heaven to create the "Paunch Burger", the true 'Ultimate Hamburger'[/sp]

is an upgrade past cargo+2 required to extract the man on fire? the guide says you can do it i tried twice and it failed both times while displaying a 100% success rate

I was only able to achieve this with an assault rifle; he'll teleport around but eventually you should land a hit. After that, you'll have a window of time to extract the man on fire. He'll leave the area and the fight will end, but he'll escape before being brought to Mother Base.[/sp] That said, I already long had Cargo 3 by this mission. Why haven't you upgraded your fulton? One of the bonus prisoners in mission [sp]10[/sp] is a transportation specialist, if I remember correctly. Nab him and upgrade.

I'm probably going to get the worst ending of this game, I've killed so many people. To me though it is so much easier.

I also don't think Venom needs parasites to get rid of the shrapnel and horn- just give him a beret like MG2's Big Boss wears, and Snake knows none the wiser. Dunno where Liquid fits in all that either- Boss (After being debriefed by Ocelot) assumes Liquid is dead after mission 51, which I'm sure Liquid wanted to use to his advantage (before Snake kills him himself). Overall, the theory fits in with the canon, so I like it.[/sp]
