Yeah, this FOB thing is really poorly thought out. You don't even get time to play the rest of the game. Can't wait for MGO.
I only play the game in offline mode, couldn't care less about FOBs.
God, it's so hard to get fuel resources. I have a fuck ton of everything else except fuel.
I had a lot of fuel. Someone else has it now :v:
I only play the game in offline mode, couldn't care less about FOBs.
You can only go into offline mode after hitting continue though, just long enough for all your staff to disappear.
God fuck finding fuel. WE REQUIRE MORE VESPENE GAS I have almost none of it.
I only play the game in offline mode, couldn't care less about FOBs.
Honestly the mere fact that online mode increases the time it takes for idroid to load anything is a reason enough to stay offline, either make online not affect idroid this much or let idroid pause the flow of time
MGS2 and MGS3 don't emulate well, and the PSP version of Peace Walker kinda has sucky controls. If you have a PS3, pick up the Legacy Collection ($30 on eBay). That has every game in the series (that you need to play anyway) before MGSV Ground Zeroes & The Phantom Pain. Play them in release order; Metal Gear 1 > MG2 > Metal Gear Solid 1 > MGS2 > MGS3 > MGS4 > MGS Peace Walker. MG1 and 2 are in the extras menu of MGS3, I believe. If you don't have a PS3, you can get the HD Collection for 360, then emulate/watch MGS1 and watch MGS4 (Kefka production on YouTube has good movie versions).
MGS 2 plays fine on PC with the controller fix as well, which is great for me since I tend to have sub-15 minute attention span when playing on consoles
I'm not sure if it's been posted but is there a field of view mod for third person? I can barely see anything over BB covering 70% of the screen.
I am, overall, very satisfied with money spend on MGSV. Full-on marathon with what, 6 days of non-stop gaming since september 1st? (No joke, I was only playing MGSV all this time: wake up ->turn on PS4 ->play until too sleepy to continue ->repeat) That was the best, and taking a vacation was well worth it. I'll do admit that there was one moment in the whole game when I was seriously dissappointed [sp]It would be super cool to hear(or even better, see) Solid Snake as he infiltrates Outer Heaven, (hell, I'd even be okay if it wasn't David Hayter's voice) just to signalize the start of Solid Snake era and marking the final end of the series. It could've been the ultimate fanservice and they blew it.[/sp]
You can only go into offline mode after hitting continue though, just long enough for all your staff to disappear.
When the game asks you to agree to the terms of service, just hit decline and you'll be put in offline mode.
Only reason im infiltrating FOBs currently is to get my Support unit frmo Level 28 to 40. So I can get the wormhole fulton and then infiltrate peoples FOBs with the wormhole fulton.
[sp]What happened with Eli and the third virus? I got 2 endings.[/sp]
[sp]What happened with Eli and the third virus? I got 2 endings.[/sp]
It was removed from the game, heres a link to the video they included in the CE of the ending. Video
MGSV Mission 12 spoilers [sp]Damn, it was so long to have such an interesting boss encounter.[/sp]
I just punched myself with the rocket fist :v:

Small question, I want to do C2W again to do the extra objectives, mission 4 I think? But when I load it up and the chopper is taking me to the LZ Kaz and Ocelot just radio me telling the objectives have been already completed and the mission ends before I even land. Is there no way to do it again?

Spoiler warning http://gearnuke.com/metal-gear-solid-v-phantom-pain-guide-get-key-items-outfits-certificates/ Here's a list of items needed to unlock stuff, including information on how to get them.
Man, I feel horrible when I'm about to clear a Soviet checkpoint and hit the last dude in the shoulder instead of his head with my sniper rifle. Poor fucker started mumbling as he bled out so I put him to sleep with the Wu. Moments later a truck arrived and found him, making me legitimately hope he survived... This is probably the first game in a very long time where I genuienly care what happens to some of the opponents. (Not counting the PMC's because they're horrible people that choose to be in a combat zone. :v:) Also, someone here said that doing non-lethal runs makes you miss out on so many things. I myself mostly go non-lethal because that's what GZ taught me (lethal = bad score) but can you infact get good scores lethally if you are precise/quick when killing?
How do I unlock the gold arm and the PS1 Solid Snake after downloading my GZ save data?
Has anyone tried the water gun on the burning man yet? Im curious but too lazy.
Whenever I wound a soldier, I do everything in my power to fulton him.

Its a funny thing to happen on your first playthrough, not so much on subsequent.
What do you exactly lose in the FOB gamemode? Do your FOBs simply have their own resources, so anything you lose is just a bonus, or is it possible to go borderline bankrupt if someone fultons everything that isn't bolted to the floor?
Sadly, FOBs don't have separate resources. People can fulton out all your shit, and the second you come back online, the game reflects this. Arguably a better system would be for FOBs to have their own resources and staff, but whatever.
Question, in the dispatch missions I have one that says I need a tank. I've captured like 20 goddamn tanks and it's still saying I can't do it, what's the deal?
Redownload, now works on the beta
Still doesn't work for me, and I'm on the beta.
Question, in the dispatch missions I have one that says I need a tank. I've captured like 20 goddamn tanks and it's still saying I can't do it, what's the deal?
There are multiple types of tanks, maybe you don't have the right one.
Major mgs5 ending spoilers [sp]I dont get why the twist needed to be the way it was. It felt needlessly convoluted just for the sake of it. Being able to run Outer Heaven and Foxhound at the same time could've been retconned/explained that he ran it through proxies. Kaz could've had a falling out with Boss after he continued to descend further in to madness. The twist seems to seriously devalue Boss's fall from grace into "lol kojima ruse cruse"[/sp]
Has anyone tried the water gun on the burning man yet? Im curious but too lazy.
Tried it the first time I fought him [sp]It does nothing at all, Ocelot just says that it's not enough or something like that[/sp]
