they're all wearing heavy armor and full helmets fuck
help
Just completed the game after days of doing nothing but eating, sleeping and playing MGSV.
MGSV Spoilers:
[SP]However you can interpret this ending, I feel like it would have been better if Kojima just played it straight, now it just feels like none of the events really mattered in the end because it wasn't Naked Snake, the character we've known for so long, who experienced any of it. It was a great idea but after 60+ hours playing this game to suddenly see that the original Snake only gets 10 minutes of screen-time I don't know how to feel. At least when MGS2 took Solid Snake away from players he still had a big role and was justified in his removal as the player character, here it just feels like Kojima wants to trick us one last time because why not.
I can't say it really adds anything, it answered how Big Boss survived Metal Gear 1 but as people have said before this could have been done in another way. In the end I feel like this twist gave us way less than if it had been played straight and was simply about Big Boss' transformation into what we see in Metal Gear 1 and 2.
Sorry for that long rant, I do love the hell out of the gameplay though, the story just brings it down for me. I feel cheated.[/SP]
Also, I'm kind of enjoying the FOB system but I really wish the stuff they said about "each player's Mother Base/FOB will be unique" was actually true, it would make it a lot more interesting.
Wait there is a [sp]Chapter 2[/sp] When does that start!?
I have the PS3 version and to be honest, the only thing that looks even remotely "eh" is the hair, because of the shitty aliasing, but really only when its zoomed in.
Shitty aliasing
Longer load times
Loads of slow texture popping
Slow downs here and there on fps
Despite all this, it still looks and plays pretty great imo
Theres one thing that bothers me though, theres this gradiant thing on the screen when looking at certain things like the sky or something, looks like a texture or somwthing, dunno, but its not a big deal.
Pretty happy with it tbh.
And wow, intel team locates resources for me in camps and checkpoints, fuckin A

send your soldiers on merc deployments to disrupt their shipments of armor and helmets.
are staff in the waiting room included when it comes to being taken from MB for successful FOB infiltration? i have a shit ton of guys sitting in there in case guys die on ops or if i need to replace a guy thats a harasser, but having an even wider selection of guys for invaders to take from instead of guys i actually care about would be cool
D-Walker development spoilers, but holy fuck you can get a [sp]Fulton Ballista for him!? Anyone know if that works on helicopters?[/sp]

[SP]It doesn't, sadly.[/SP]

[sp]Someone needs to list where this and D-Dog's fulton outfit comes from, because holy shit these sound amazing. I'm guessing there isn't a fulton rocket launcher though?[/sp]

Guh, I got excited for a second. Still a pretty cool gadget though.

The hazy black gradient outline on every person or animal?
Its some sorta like, focusing effect i think, you dont notice it on the higher end systems because its supposed to be subtle, but you do on the lower end ones because the quality is a little worse.
I think it also somehow makes enemies blend into their environments better.

Well, I don't have to record my idea anymore, because someone did it for me

So I'm 52 hours into MGS5 now and I don't really feel like I own the full game.
It's the credits at the beginning/end of every mission, the to be continued segments, the weird [sp]Chapter 1/2 with credits thing[/sp] and the weird multiplayer... I don't know, it just doesn't feel like a cohesive story.
I could be completely wrong because I'm only at mission 34 and it's barely a complaint because I'm absolutely fucking loving it so far.
Coming from an un-educated plebian who hasn't followed this game it feels to me like they were going for a more monetized route after the financial success of Ground Zeroes? (if it was a success I have no idea) The missions just feel that way
Supersampling makes the game look gorgeous, and the hair doesn't look as shitty.
I can only run it on all high settings supersampled, but it's a solid 60FPS. If I go to extra high, things drop into the high 30's low 40's, but on high everything still looks fantastic.

No.
Phantom Pain was always intended to have this odd episodic set up, Ground Zeroes was cut out of the game earlier in development and released on its own probably because Konami told them to.
I'm trying 2 be funny with helicopter music

Oh man, so I'm playing through the series with my friend who has no idea of what happens in the series. We finished 1 today and started 2, we got through the tanker. I have convinced him that Snake really is dead.
Oh man.
I suggest supporting a bunch of people if you're concerned about FOB security, some of them will return the favor and it's better to have a chance at someone defending it than leaving it unattended
Also defending other people's bases can be very profitable, I just got over 1 mil GMP for a single defence
Ive got Hungry like the wolf as my helicopter theme.
Its great.

Where'd you find her? Female staff seem to be really rare and the only ones I've got are pretty low level. I'd like some diversity in my Mother Base.
Also, holy fuck you can develop a [sp]fulton device for D-Dog so he can fulton stuff himself and he actually does it way faster than you could do it.[/sp]

you tell em pequot
Are the hidden objectives in mission 9 broken or something? One of them is to extract 3 tanks, but all the target vehicles in that mission are only APCs, there isn't a single tank.
I was having trouble coming up with a PMC name, but then I unlocked a codename that made the decision much easier.

Once you deal with all 11 vehicles it spawns a gunship and three tanks

i've heard that if you shoot enough soldiers in the dick they start sending out more female soldiers, not sure if that's true
Ok, so I told hin the reason mgs3 is a prequel is because Solid Snake is really dead.
