(post mission 28? spoilers) [sp]Man, that whole quarantine phase was painful. I lost about 90 men, two A++ and a few A+ in there. Could have been worse I suppose, I caught on to the whole deal at the end of the code talker mission of course, put all my Kikongo dudes away from each team which took a solid 10 minutes. Now that they're all back and cured I used auto sort but now there's no-one in my security team because they all got assigned to other departments due to the missing soldiers, great. I suppose that's a good thing, like someone said earlier? Pretty good design though, dealing with an infectious disease which kills off your men every now and then is pretty terrifying[/sp]
[sp]I didn't put anyone in quarantine and instead rushed the missions in hopes of a cure. I lost 400-500 men :([/sp]
I found a ton of the story threads just kinda slapped in? [sp] Okay, so, we've got Huey, let's learn that he's a bastard, okay fine, sure, but he's just kinda... around just for Kaz to scream at him, until they realize that they should have used him more. Then there's Eli, fucking Eli, you know, LIQUID SNAKE, a character who is probably the most important character in the majority of the solid series? Oh yeah, gets like two lines outside of his bossfight, great, this is supposed to help us understand him more? Okay, he was a child soldier, but the whole past of Liquid Snake was defined by him knowing his heritage and knowing what he has to live up to, while subsequently having a dark history with his 'father'. Wait wait no, in MGSV let's have Liquid's only interaction with Boss be getting punched a couple of times, and then getting rescued out of a shithole in the middle of Africa to a completely livable army platform. Something that allowed him to eventually grow up into a soldier for a proper army, with an actual life, instead of dying in the middle of a warzone. That is the entire extent of Liquid's interaction with boss. Seriously?[/sp]
Nothing like getting [sp] The reveal of the Battle Gear and it never comes up again. Ever. At all. It's there and then gone. Apparently one of the excuses was it disrupted gameplay balance but for some reason they kept it's presence in the game anyway. It's baffling [/sp]
I went to the medical platform to go see Quiet because Ocelot told me to but instead of finding her room, I found [sp]Paz[/sp] This game is crazy. The first Salenthropus fight was funny. I ended up extracting literally right behind it
this is such a great sideops chain, do the [sp]wandering mother base soldiers[/sp] quests, all [sp]10___[/sp] of them, then I think you have to get [sp]quiet to bond level max for the last picture[/sp], bring all the [sp]pictures to Paz, listen to the tapes, get your mind fucked heavily[/sp] unrelated end game spoils: [sp] :~/[/sp]

[sp]The battle gear really isn't used for anything? I figured I was doing something wrong but it's really not even in the fucking game?[/sp]
So... [sp]The battle gear really isn't used for anything? I figured I was doing something wrong but it's really not even in the fucking game?[/sp]
[sp]It's used for the later Combat Deployment missions[/sp]
So... [sp]The battle gear really isn't used for anything? I figured I was doing something wrong but it's really not even in the fucking game?[/sp]
I was under the impression you had to use it for some [sp]outer ops.[/sp]
waiting for Ocelot's model to hit the SFM workshop
I hope when the SFM models hit, someone recreates [sp]The Hamburgers of Kazuhira Miller[/sp] I swear, most of these cassettes sound like cutscenes
I hope when the SFM models hit, someone recreates [sp]The Hamburgers of Kazuhira Miller[/sp] I swear, most of these cassettes sound like cutscenes
They probably just acted it out in live action to capture the audio as well as they could
Also Ending Spoilers[sp]Why did Ocelot even bring up LET in regards to Eli if he KNEW that Venom isn't boss? What a useless plotthread. Also dumb is now how Liquid's backstory is pointless because he never really even met his father.[/sp]
I hope when the SFM models hit, someone recreates [sp]The Hamburgers of Kazuhira Miller[/sp] I swear, most of these cassettes sound like cutscenes
This will be the first video I make of them.

Also dumb is now how Liquid's backstory is pointless because he never really even met his father.[/sp]
[sp]he didn't, actually, check the truth tapes again. he self-hypnotized himself into thinking venom was the boss, which is why he said Eli wasn't a clone. still dumb though[/sp]
(Mission 43) [sp]By the end of the mission, I was crying so hard I was having a hard time aiming my shots.[/sp]

Holy shit, just beat the mission at the mine [sp]the cutscene with the child soldiers was pretty well done. I had a lump in my throat when Snake unloaded on the bucket.[/sp] I think this is the first sensible call Kaz had made all game.
I understand it now! The Man who Sold the World! The Man is Kojima and the World is MGSV! He made us all think that this was [sp]The final MGS Game[/sp] before launch and thats why it ended off with [sp]us feeling empty![/sp]
Is there a scene where Snake tells Eli that he's shit? He brings it up in MGS1
Oh god why haven't I been using the double-barreled air shotgun? It's hilarious.
Also, I have a question regarding a certain Hideo's interview “People who own GZ will be able to play a different mission(s) at Camp Omega in TPP. That’s the current plan. There’s something of a big feature involved. It’s never been done in the games industry before. So I can’t go into detail about it, but I think when you experience it for yourselves you’ll be surprised. It’s something that’s only possible through video games.” [sp]...so, uh, what about all of this?[/sp]
finally, i can customize weapons. [sp]god, that was so annoying. "extract the legendary gunsmith yet again"[/sp]

Makes me wonder what else is missing from the game
So I can’t go into detail about it, but I think when you experience it for yourselves you’ll be surprised. It’s something that’s only possible through video games.”
The surprise is that [sp]it's not in the game.[/sp]
finally, i can customize weapons. [sp]god, that was so annoying. "extract the legendary gunsmith yet again"[/sp]
It was only 3 missions, relax. You want to know what annoying is? In FFXIV there's a mailman moogle that gives quests that lead up to his hat as an item. It took like 25 fucking quests to get there and each one had this annoying "Level up!?" after the end and you couldn't skip it. Repeat 25 times.
holy shit the quiet fight on extreme is REALLY hard
quick and easy way to do it? Mark an ammo drop on her. Just do it and find out what will happen. At least I think it applies to normal playthroughs
Just defended someone else's base development platform and the defender just stayed at the wormhole until it opened after being spotted by me twice. I think he saw my CGM 25 aimed at him trying to get a lock through his sniper since he was looking straight at me when I found him. I'm okay with this outcome, I get the rewards of a successful defense, the owner doesn't get his shit stolen, and the invader doesn't get his soldier cluster missiled.
Fuck Mission 45. Just fuck it.
I'm currently on mission 23 and reading some of the comments here, there seems to be storyline/mission shenanigans like [sp]losing staff members, companions, etc[/sp] Is there any way I can [sp]prepare myself so I don't permanently lose any valuable assets? Spoiler-free answer would be nice, although I have a rough idea of what will happen[/sp] also still haven't found DD
quick and easy way to do it? Mark an ammo drop on her. Just do it and find out what will happen. At least I think it applies to normal playthroughs
i baited quiet just to be safe, good ol' pop up and down to keep her firing and fixated on me as opposed to anything else going on. also make sure she isn't on her back, she seems to be able to dodge the boxes if she can somewhat see them.
Just finished mission 31. Goddamn it I love Huey. [sp]Revenge![/sp]
Disregard that. Fuck Huey.
I really wish we could use Phantom Cigar while you're IN helicopter.
