why
Spoiler Tag that image please :/
Late game spoilers. [sp]I'm so disappointed that you cant use the Battle Gear, with all that build up and hype and even a cutscene to show off how badass it is when it's finished you would have thought it was driveable but noooo, almost entirely pointless.[/sp]
[sp]It was driveable at one point in the game, even customizable. It got cut for unknown reasons. Kojima claims because of balance issues. Source for this is the collectors edition guide.[/sp]
Spoiler Tag that image please :/
Why? It's a just a model change.
whoops sorry that's the outfit you get if you S rank every standard mission
Oh, I didn't realize that, thought it was a mod lol.
So I'm pretty sure I'm at the very near end of the game. I completed the main mission 43, but I still have questions relating to unlocking things and just in general the story. [sp]I know for a fact there is just a little bit more left. Apparently there is a cutscene for Huey's trial (Which I assume expels him from MB's staff list. Shame, I needed good R&D staff) but I have no clue how to initiate it. Secondly, apparently you can completely loose Quiet as a result of perusing the final missions? Is that completely true? I've heard something about it relating to side ops 150, but I don't have that unlocked either.[/sp] [sp]And what of Eli and Sahelanthropus? Volgin/The man on fire? Do we get any closure with these things? Or does it just end with that? I feel like somehow the ending for the game got lost along the way, and I haven't figured out what to do.[/sp]
they cut a LOT of content so don't worry about it, they'll probably release it as DLC or something konami pls
they cut a LOT of content so don't worry about it, they'll probably release it as DLC or something konami pls
With Kojima gone, I doubt it but I would love to see all the cut content in-game. What annoys me more is the wiki taking all the cut content as a fact and include it all as canon.
they cut a LOT of content so don't worry about it, they'll probably release it as DLC or something konami pls
Wait shit really? I'm actually at a lose for words at that. There so much that either seemingly goes no where or has no true end/and logical ties to MG, MG2, and MGS1. I'm beginning to not like the way the game ends. Its kinda like eating a delicious chocolate cake, then the last bite has sand and salt in it. Edit: I still need my questions answered from the above post.

I'm getting good enough with a sniper rifle that I can just about take a buddy other than Quiet. I can consistently headshot helmeted guards from ~250 meters with the 2-8x rangefinding scope.
Are fultoned vehicles of any use to the mother base? Or I can just sell them all except for a tank or two for my own use?
Honestly everything story related was disappointing as fuck (spoilers for the entire story) [sp]Almost all the main missions contribute pretty much nothing to the story and just feel like unique side ops, it's just extract this or go here really. A very small amount actually contribute somewhat to the story. There was just very little story overall. Skullface was also a really disappointing villain as well. On topic of the missions we get like two actual bosses, Quiet and the MG. The skulls as well if you really want to include them knowing they just feel like sub bosses. We thought it was going to about BB downfall due to the trailers especially the nuclear one, him turning into a big bad villain as portrayed in MG1/2 but nah you actually just play as some MSF soldier made to pretty much him and even he barley turns evil throughout the story. While the real one is just actually building Zanzibar Land in secret. And what happened to the new MB in the end unless a retcon happened and that's actually outer haven or I didn't read something in the timeline after the credits.[/sp] The amount of cut content was pretty shit as well. But everything gameplay related was 10/10
I finished the game recently, and are you guys also kinda dissappointed by the severe lack of emotionally impacting scenes? We have (end game spoilers)[sp]the final mission with Quiet, The House of the Devil, Hospital scenes, and the conclusion of Skull Face's storyline, and The Quarantine[/sp] And, to be honest, most of these aren't even that strong. What should've been more expanded on was probably was the perpetual state of grief that Big Boss was in, and I got to say, the thing that moved me the most was the hidden [sp]__Paz__[/sp] subplot on Medical Bay. [sp]Hell, I got really depressed by the conclusion, I cried. Everything is set up just so perfectly, when you encounter her, you think "Well that's odd, how did she survive?, why is Ocelot and Miller here suddently?, Why did no one tell me?" And with time, you dissmiss it, you think that maybe if you bring her those photos, everything will go back to the way it used to be, before Ground Zeroes But it doesn't. The final scene hits you hard, as it turns out it was Snake trying to cope with not being able to save Paz, and the rest of the crew, he was in a state of delusion, hallucinating the whole time(fuck, even the whole room was a hallucination). You can never get those cheerful times back.[/sp] That's how it went down for me at least.

It makes me wish we'd get some Director's Cut of the game now but I'm highly doubting that. I've love to see all of this thrown in and more to patch up things in the game.
Also what aussie said. [editline]8th September 2015[/editline] muh merge

The worst part is he does his best to comfort YOU and let you know it's okay to do this. That killing him is what needs to be done. Goodness that fucked me up. [/sp]
Oh, I kinda wanted to make quick GMP selling them off, I'm pretty low (500k)
If you've got precious metals you can sell those, you only ever really need them for some endgame development stuff.
This is inhumane EDIT: also relevant:
Hey, I'm kinda worried: So at the start of the game, I got D-Pup from Mission 3 (C2W, I think) at the landing zone. I've been slowly going through Afghan, (I'm on mission 8... and already did mission 11 [sp]the "Quiet" one[/sp] on my way to the Powerplant), and have always been used to landing on my Command Platform at Motherbase and being greeted by D-Pup. HOWEVER, no matter when I land on that platform, I still get my four dudes saluting me, but no D-Pup. Where the hell did he go? He's not back at his "spawn" location, from what I can tell, and my Soldiers still "thank" me for rescuing him. Is this normal? Also Emblem Tax: [thumb]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/421440029604390057/24290EC8B67D5AC155D008F20EB64C5DBE04BD46/[/thumb]
Did you check if he's part of your buddies now? Iirc he was ready by mission 11 or around that.
Did you check if he's part of your buddies now? Iirc he was ready by mission 11 or around that.
I'll go check that out now! Keep in mind that I "skipped" ahead to Mission 11 by... being in the proximity, I guess?
Don't worry, I got DD very early (like second mission or so) but he became a buddy much later, way past mission 11
