Did you check if he's part of your buddies now? Iirc he was ready by mission 11 or around that.
Just checked, he's not in my buddy list.
@damnatus
Hmm... well, should I be worried that D-Pup doesn't appear to be at my base anymore?
Am I forced to [sp] redo over the fence and the quiet fight on extreme before I can get more missions on mission 39 and 40 sigh [/sp]
I wonder if it counts repeat missions for D-Dog growing up, because he definitely was all grown up before [sp]the encounter with Quiet, because he went near the mission trigger and wouldn't budge, tipping me off that something was going to happen up ahead.[/sp]

Nah. I completely forgot about his existence and was surprised later

how did you get place able boxes
How to raise quiet bond? should I command her to kill everyone, or are there different ways?
So did anyone else have a bug in mission 13 where it would teleport you ahead like half a mission?
I hope i'm not the only one :(

[sp]Over the Fence is pretty easy to [Total Stealth][/sp]
Did it on my second try in less than 8 minutes.

No story missions are locked behind the repeat missions. I haven't done a single one of them.
[sp]It was driveable at one point in the game, even customizable. It got cut for unknown reasons. Kojima claims because of balance issues.
Source for this is the collectors edition guide.[/sp]
[sp]It could have been an end game reward, somthing silly powerful for all that hard work like all the fun extras you get from the other games for doing hard challenges.[/sp]
how did you get place able boxes
Just equip a box then press dive to dive out of it. Useful if you get spotted
The box has a bunch of useful features, I love how it sounds like an advanced piece of equipment when you change between 'modes'
Come to think of it I haven't tried the hill slide with it yet
How to raise quiet bond? should I command her to kill everyone, or are there different ways?
Tell her to shoot at someone, stare at her for 5 seconds or more in the ACC, tell her to cover you, perma-mark her temporary marks, make use of her, visit her cell on MB, sacrifice your first-born to Hideo Kojima, endorse Miller's burgers
oh and bring her with you on missions in general
How do I fast travel on the mother ship? dumb question but i literally have no idea how. i heard it was a thing but nobody i asks knows how
Look for the orange delivery stations, sit on it in a cardboard box and wait
So like, is there any way to find your friends on FOB?
How do I fast travel on the mother ship? dumb question but i literally have no idea how. i heard it was a thing but nobody i asks knows how
on each main strut there are special locations (orange stands with a sign), go equip a box and sit on one of them

I haven't done any research on what MGO is going to be, but maybe they continue the story there? Probably coop missions or something.
So I guess the general consensus is that the game is very mechanically sound, and is very fun. But it really isn't entirely finished / game could've used another year of dev work. There's also a mess of certain things like in regards to FOB shit that simply isn't panning out well at all.
Here's hoping that the multiplayer portion (that will be released later) isn't bad.
If I had realized before I created an FOB that it would mean I'd have to keep playing this game or lose everything, I'd never have done it.
D-dog becomes usable as you continue through the story missions. same with quiet. you just don't get them right off the bat
Is the last [sp] 15 missions just repeats of previous missions on 'extreme' difficulty :/ They could have just made the extreme versions sideops what a waste [/sp]
Uh... but sideops is free roam? And you can't do subsistence or story missions in free roam?
If I had realized before I created an FOB that it would mean I'd have to keep playing this game or lose everything, I'd never have done it.
it doesn't help that you can use trainers while playing online so everyone that invades your fob is likely cheating anyway. on top of that fobs are supposed to be set up so they can only be attacked like maybe twice a week but instead you just get attacked every three hours and it directly results in you losing motherbase staff and processed materials. it's utter bullshit. even when you're offline your fob is still up on the server and it's free game. you log in to collect your daily reward or whatever but instead you get severely punished because you weren't there to save your own skin for a mandatory feature that you pretty much have no way of skipping

If that's the way things are going to stay, I may as well use a trainer to reobtain staff and resources that I lose if I ever take a break from MGSV.
fair point. pretty much all of my gameplay so far has been fultoning stafg and looting stuff so i can craft more stuff
take my word for it: don't bother. you end up fultoning everyone in the missions anyway and the mission guys are much higher quality than the guys you find in side ops. usually

I love it when you pull off cool shit like this.
Just beat it.
End spoilers
[sp]Is episode 46 really the true ending?[/sp]
I just realized something... [sp]providing the secret mission is canon[/sp]
MGSV ENDGAME SPOILERS:
[sp]My stupid joke comic (http://puu.sh/jxQ6M/ef42f7db36.jpg) I made in garrysmod about a week before release is canon. I predicted the games twist without even knowing it :V[/sp]
so i just deployed myself at a high risk zone where i also needed to rescue a hostage for the sake of action
Holy fucking shit i never had such a high adrenaline rush, hearing the gunshots bouncing off the helicopter, Took the machine gun and blew everything to peaces, just to finally land and kill everyone while rushing it to the hostage and as soon i got into the helicopter again i deployed a bomb and everything exploded as i was leaving while Man Eater was playing on the copter
This game is the best, goty all years

this is me every time I die while deploying into a high risk zone
Am I the only one who's a bit annoyed by all these "9 years ago" speeches?
I've probably heard it like 30 times now and Miller keeps bitching about it.
I liked him but he's starting to get a bit too annoying for my taste now.
[sp]All these massive plot holes make me really sad.[/sp]
