Endgame related spoilers: [sp]I feel like MGSV will be like MGS2, hated when it first came out because we don't play as Snake, we play as a less enjoyable "us". But then when the hate dies down it'll be analysed and then loved and then Kojima will release a new game and at the end of that it'll be his smug face with the caption... "Did you rike it?"[/sp]

[sp]The difference between MGS2 and MGSV is that MGS2 actually feels like a finished product (save for the end at Federal Hall, but you can chop that up to 9/11). While both games had a dumb protagonist twist, MGS2 did it at the beginning of the game, whereas MGSV hooks you in for 100+ hours making you think you're Big Boss.[/sp]
I didn't really feel Troy did a bad job, but I definitely wouldn't have chosen him as the VA. Then again, I didn't like any of the voice choices for this game, but I digress.
Daily reminder that we should have gotten Kurt Russell instead of Keifer Sutherland.
If you're gonna blow half you budget on a Hollywood actor, make it count.
Also, Kojima needs to stop taking advice from that hack from Marvel. Arad ruined Spider-Man 3.
You could have probably paid Kurt Russel in beer for him to VA the game.

But it was obvious though.
Like, painfully obvious.
I played the game for 45 minutes and figured all of that out. And it was pretty much 100% accurate.

uh man mgs2 was MORE cut than this game

[sp]When we got to put in our name and bday I laughed thinking "oh ya like we're gonna be doing that all over again."
And then we did.[/sp]

The overall experience was still more complete than mgsv.

[sp]Ironic thing is, I actually put my name down as Big Boss[/sp] :v:
MGSV has so much stuff missing it's kind of sad. Besides the actual final mission not existing, there's no return of Camp Omega despite it being a promised feature, the Battle Gear is confusing as hell in that it exists, but not as something you use in game and just as an outer ops deploy thingy (it was too powerful apparently, in a game where you can call in constant resupply drops and coverfire choppers and all kinds of bullshit, the only thing balancing anything in this game is GMP costs), cut lines in the data etc.
I like MGSV but it could've been so much better.

MGS2 had all that cut in pre-production. Even stuff that was cut in the middle of development, that was just unimportant gameplay stuff. It was still a comprehensible story (for some people).
TPP cut out story arcs and left more holes than it set out to fix. One thing Kojima is really bad at is tying up loose ends. He's like a bumbling carpenter that puts a nail in a plywood board, but hammers it down so hard that it just goes through.
My FOB just got invaded by another guy playing as Snake. He was using a HAIL grenade launcher, took out several of my guards, even killed me twice, but in the end I managed to land a headshot with a non-lethal rubber bullet and fulton him. He must've been so goddamn mad.

[sp]The thing is, they kept dropping subtle hints about Ishmael being Big Boss, and they dropped so many that it became obvious. Right when Ishmael cracked "Snake"'s arm back into place, I knew he was Big Boss. In MGS3 you see him relocate his arm in the same way. That, coupled with the fact that he's a stealth master right off the bat.[/sp]

[sp]I put mine down as "Alligator".[/sp]
Is the battle gear just a thing that's automatically used for high-level dispatch missions ? Or do i have to deploy it manually somewhere ? Kinda pointless if it's the former.
[sp]I put mine down as "Alligator".[/sp]
[sp]Mine was John so I guess in my canon Big Boss was just too lazy to change his identity.[/sp]
Oh lord, the hand of Jehuty can let you teleport enemies into cover, making them freak out.
[sp]At the end of the day, I'll feel satisfied with MGSV- it's given me so many hours of entertainment that I expected, and in the end I'll probably keep playing this (unlike gtav which I did not feel like replaying missions for). I'm definitely gonna be dissapointed in the final product, but I could never say it's a bad game.[/sp]

It was the latter up until a certain point in development, but in the final product it's the former.
How long does it take for soldiers acquired from FOB invasions to join your staff? They've been in the brig god knows how long.
btw Pequod is a shit pilot.
I tell him to take me to the Med Platform from the Command Platform, it takes him 10 minutes and he has to circle every platform twice.
I could drive there faster. I called you to pick me up because I figured it would be fast and convenient.
Morpho wouldn't do this shit.

he's trying man
it's like in the matrix when they went from tank to link
you knew he wouldn't be as good but he would do his best
Hm, already getting Kaz warning me about a certain sniper... This should be interesting... Should pay a visit to the powerplant, got a sideop there anyway.
Already have a few nights and afternoons of tpp, yet still at 9%, worth the 60 euros and worth being completely broke
How do you add custom tracks to Cassette Tapes?
How do you add custom tracks to Cassette Tapes?
On pc, it's in your steam>steamapps>common>MGS_TPP>CustomSoundtrack. Dunno how to do so on console, if you even can.

use the box transport, a million times faster and more convenient
Anyone got the FOV mod updated to v1.04?
Mission 45 is [sp]fucking annoying because I cant quit it to develop any better launchers or upgrade my chopper and it auto calls in supplies making me poor as shit, I dont even need them with the ammo scattered around the mission area.[/sp]
I still can't trigger anything past Mission 43.

never tried it with MGSV, but I think you can hook up an mp3 player of choice to the console and import mp3 songs into your music library thing in the console.
