I am having difficulty with the server. I can connect, but chat does not work, and only a small part of the world loads. I get disconnected after a bit.

Try increasing the max RAM in the options tab of the launcher before you sign in. I had similar problems before I did that. And I don't know if it will help for you, but one of my friends had success running the launcher in administrator mode too.

Stonecycle isn't even a regular yet.
When I try to join the server, it says Outdated Client. Does anyone know what to do? I downloaded the Client earlier today.

Are you absolutely certain that you're using the right pack, an updated launcher and everything?
Delete the Ultimate folder, then redownload it. Fixes it for me sometimes.

Lava age was accidentally deleted, if you lost anything from a pump station/whatever you had in there, ask an OP to get the items back.

You don't have to downgrade, using the FTB Client it installs a seperate version of minecraft which is what this server uses.
that way you can have your old minecraft version, and the FTB version without changing or downgrading and such.
