That one right there. The old articles, the new articles, all need editing and fixing up, however nobody really wants to do it!
If it turned you off before because of the complexity of templates, it shouldn't. It's now as simple as adding text. It's all written down for you and documented to make it as easy as possible to edit & contribute. If you used to play on the server, take some time to help edit old articles which you might have had personal experiences with, and add stories/history too. If you don't like past-history, why not add your town/private property to the wiki? Add your stories!
Unfortunately, I can't do everything myself and it's basically this every month for the past year :

It was under construction for too long and the bot removed it automatically, it's to avoid the already many un-finished pages which nobody picks up on, since most construction pages don't have any content worth reading.
Remember : Even if you don't know much about a subject, contribute what you can anyways!

Endgame thaumcraft is much more thaumcraft specific - ability to move nodes, for example. Mid-game thaumcraft is the most expanded on and worth looking into, though. Elemental Wands/Tools, Warded stuff, Arcane Furnace. Wand of the Thaumaturge is worth it, though.

Thaumcraft has a lot of original stuff that's not just the bogstandard build machine A to turn item X into item Y so you can build machine B to turn item Y into item Z. The whole mechanic behind nodes, essence and flux is pretty cool, and filling up jars of essence results in the same kind of collectionist glee you'd get from massing stacks of diamonds or other stuff, with the added benefit that you can place the jars and they look really nice aestethically. That goes for the whole mod, by the way. All the models and effects are really well done, and even if you don't need some items, you want to make them simply because they look cool.
The most useful item from Thaumcraft is in my opinion the portable hole. That thing is so much fun. It makes exploring and traveling a lot easier as well, because you can just race straight through a mountain, or travel between underground tunnels. Just abide to the standard Minecraft rules and never go straight down.
