Just travel around until you find a spot to your likings. There's plenty of free land everywhere.

No, your lava is fine. It's going off because your storage unit keeps blinking between 0 and having power for no apparent reason despite your thermals. I just put it down to 8 blocks distance, you can deal with it later.

Would any kind, considerate and handsome admin be willing to swap out the Steam Turbine I just crafted for a Solar Turbine? I had a derp moment and forgot that solar turbines aren't craftable anymore for factorization producers.
Important statement incoming, the server at it's current state is inherently unstable due to the excessive xycraft memory leaks, so to stop this we have a few alternatives.
1. Phase out xycraft, give everyone back the contents of their tanks and replace with railcraft tanks.
(May take time and will probably require you to remake some things)
2. Push for a new map, start with xycraft completely disable to make railcraft tanks be used instead.
Right now, the server runs out of usable memory in less than an hour due to the horrible memory leaks in xycraft.
What do you guys think?

A new map sounds fun, especially now that I understand alot more and know what I want to work for from the get go. If the current map is uploaded then I'm all for new map.

Can you store lava/water in the iron tanks? Or what other tank types are there?
I'd really like a new map as I kind of want a fresh start.

If we go for a new map, could we "pack up" our things into canvas bags and wait it out?
The main issue I see with a new map is simply the fact that people, including myself, are working towards things that'll simply be outright removed if the server were to get a new map, whereas people who want a new start have the option of moving elsewhere.
Xycraft isn't a mod that'd require people to restructure their homes huge amounts unless you make heavy use of it's decorative blocks, and even then that'd be just rebuilding. It's not like you have to set up lots of new piping or energy lining.
I don't really want to start from scratch just because others have reached endgame already.

I just worry about falling into the endless cycle of weekly new maps we saw with the vanilla server... But I think if we establish some sort of plan on what to do in the new map beforehand, it might not be a bad option.
I'll miss my house... But I don't play much anyway, so it won't be much of a loss.

Dat fabricator/crafter will kill so many automation. :(.Also that stored fluid in tank sooo much loss.
