To be honest, fuck that. We already had like what, 3 (or 4?) polls on this subject :v:
I was just saying if he still wasn't sure enough. TBH I'd prefer the quickest option just to play.
I still think we should still possibly consider moving to the Beta pack, since it seems like it's going to become basically next Ultimate pack in a matter of weeks and apparently the current version it's at now supposed to be forward compatible with the next couple versions as well. Only problem with that is no RP2... and that makes me a sad panda
I wish we could use Translocators

The loss of RP2 is somewhat more substantial than xycraft...
The loss of RP2 is somewhat more substantial than xycraft...
My logic is it is going to be lost anyways whenever we next update so all we're doing is delaying the inevitable.
My logic is it is going to be lost anyways whenever we next update so all we're doing is delaying the inevitable.
Or we could just wait until the 1.6 packs are out, as those will contain redpower. Thaumic Tinkerer is really nice though, so I'm going to put a vote in favour of this.
going by ftb's update schedule,1.6 is probably months or two away :v:
If we don't have to move to a new map when 1.6 comes around, I see literally no problem with sticking to Ultimate now.
If we don't have to move to a new map when 1.6 comes around, I see literally no problem with sticking to Ultimate now.
Ultimate won't be compatible with 1.6 because of Forge Liquid changes and the base minecraft code changes unfortunantly
When is 1.6 coming out anyways? Several months? And how long will it take for FTB to update completely to 1.6? Another several months? I'd say we'd have a healthy amount of time to play now if we decide to update to the new pack.

Wait what seriously? Where the hell have I been?
Wait what seriously? Where the hell have I been?
Of course it'll still be a couple of months between 1.6 releasing, the mods updating and the pack re-releasing for 1.6
Of course it'll still be a couple of months between 1.6 releasing, the mods updating and the pack re-releasing for 1.6
For example, 1.5 came out in march and just now in June is being added to the launcher.
Profan wont update without redpower unless there's a really good reason, just so you know, he loves the mod :v:
Profan wont update without redpower unless there's a really good reason, just so you know, he loves the mod :v:
Yeah, redpower is so ridiculously useful, playing without it would be a major pain in the ass.
Yeah, redpower is so ridiculously useful, playing without it would be a major pain in the ass.
People would get used to it in time, but it'd still be a royal bitch at first.
We could make our own pack?
Yeah, redpower is so ridiculously useful, playing without it would be a major pain in the ass.
If profan had a custom pack instead of using ftb he could easily just add about 4 mods and you have just about everything RP2 had, most of them are by immibis. The only things cut out would be bluetricity and RP2 computers. [editline]28th June 2013[/editline] Plus you could mod out of most of the shitty hardmode recipes.

There will be no way of pleasing everyone. Right now, I'd just like the server to be fixed instead of adding a bunch more delays.
Well you cant please every everyone.Since RP2 was one best mods in MC with use in pretty much everything. One thing profan do that he can create custom pack for 1.5.2 in technic pack(i think)/or just start another map with FTB ultimate. Also i dont think we will be getting RP at 1.6 either :/
So I've been talking to Profan about a server-side mod idea I've been thinking off. A recurring theme in this thread is people not wanting to lose their progress, while others want to start fresh. One thing that's been proposed is to have a legacy "age" that holds the old world. Counter argument: Unbalance, new players would struggle while existing players just swamp the world with their past-world stuff. I want to ask everyone here about their thoughts about a hybrid solution that I may or may not build, depending on the response here. The idea is like this: A storage system, hosted outside of the world/player save system. Players have slots for X (something like 20) items they can store in this system by holding it in their hand and typing /storeitem This removes it from your inventory until you fetch a list of stored items with /listitems and retrieve with /retrieveitem x (id or name) These commands would be disabled normally, and enabled for a certain amount of time before and after resetting the map. That way people cant abuse it as an extra inventory or easy way to shuffle items between places. The balance comes from the item limit: You can pick and choose a select few items to help you start out in the world, but you have to pick within reason; no bags, simple items like tools, ores and ingots. Possibly some machinery. Will probably work based on a whitelist/blacklist. A stack could count as 1 item, or as 64 items, not sure about that yet. I would like to get some feedback on this system? Like? Hate? It will not apply to the current reset just yet, as I would still need to build it which would push the start of the server back even more, if we were to wait for that.

Woot, I'll have something to do tomorow morning then
Thanks for waiting out for our decision thus far, guys!
Thanks for waiting out for our decision thus far, guys!
Flub, you going to aim for a fusion reactor again?
Probably not, most likely won't be playing FTB as much.
I will be working towards one again.
