are beginning not be a diva anymore? guys we need electric magic tools now
So 2FAST mentioned there were Pechs in the Promised Land. There is nothing in the Promised Land except pixies and lag/socket exceptions.
theres pechs in there
theres pechs in there
Are there? I couldn't see any between the pixie spam and disconnects caused by pixie spam. Found this while doing a search about this problem.
Found this while googling and wanted to say thanks. I had 3500+ entities in the Promised Land and was barely able to leave due to 0-1 FPS. In case any one else is wondering I search for "Pixie" in the ".technic\modpacks\attack-of-the-bteam\config\biomesoplenty\ids.cfg" file and changed it to 0. (Line 293 for me)
Might be worth looking into, for those that have the rights and such.
There is *no* benefits to be had from losing the pixies, and nothing to gain from HAVING them. They are merely a lag machine until the BOP devs decide to do more with 'em.

It's like it would take more than 10 minutes changing the spawn-rate of those little fuckers or something.
KILL THE PIXIES! Also, I'm writing lore for Finn & Nor Co... For some reason. Can't believe we're almost done with all the planned buildings.
Is there an official verdict for updating to 1.1.0?
Is there an official verdict for updating to 1.1.0?
Yes, and the verdict is "Maybe".
Hi can some one white list me? My in game name is yorkster111
here the changelog on monster 1.0.10 https://feedthebeast.atlassian.net/wiki/display/PML/Monster+1.0.10
Shame there's nothing about the Axe of the Stream in that changelog, it seems using the right-click mode drops no logs at all and only leaves "ghost" logs in their place, and no logs are left to collect. The leaf blocks DO break down faster though.
i use the lmb do cut down things
i use the lmb do cut down things
Yeah, guess that works. Bit slower though.
Alright, so with all this talk about updating to FTB Monster 1.0.10, I decided to do some minor checking... We might have a problem. From the changelog:
-General Changes: Removed BetterStorage Removed XACT -From Dynamic Pipes: Removed Mystic Forest Removed all crafting items except hammer, iron plates and modules Removed Fluid Potions Removed Generator and Omni-Power Fluid
...Basically, this means we'll lose our Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Crystal Chests, possibly our crafting tables (No issues, just got a LOT of work to do for replacing them all :V), but the worst part however is the dynamic pipes update. It removes the Mystic Forest biome, which as far as I know has already been generated in the map. The crafting recipes might hamper some people, the fluid potions might result in lost items/corrupted chunks, and the biggest problem might be the generator and omni-power fluid, which some people might be using. Either a map reset or SERIOUS workarounds to fix the issues that might arise are needed.

Looks like there's also a Magical Crops issue that requires a world regen, although I'm not sure if that applies to Monster or not. I really don't want a new map. That's the sort of thing that's consistently killed off the playerbase every time we've done it.
Biggest changes would be Mystic forest, Id changes and Magic crop Changes. Click here for the entire list
So, basically, if we update, we lose the map. There's no getting around that, is there? All in favor of sticking with our current version?
or update the mods separately or go to 1.09 [editline]27th February 2014[/editline] neat

-General Changes: Removed BetterStorage
...Basically, this means we'll lose our Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Crystal Chests
BetterStorage is the lockers and Iron/Gold/Diamond/Emerald reinforced chests, the iron/gold/diamond/crystal chests belong to another mod I can't remember the name of.
Ironchests mod
So 1.0.11 is out today. 1.0.9 is still the recommended version by the FTB team so lets just wait and see what the mods/ops say is best.

The tree is a ghost, and you should be able to reconnect to see the cut-down tree.

And no longs are dropped or picked up by me, which they should if the logs really ARE cut down.
snip was ninjad
Here's the thing though: If I right-click the ghost logs, they disappear.
Because your client is attempting to interact with a block that isn't there, and it updates that single block
And no longs are dropped or picked up by me, which they should if the logs really ARE cut down.
Because your client doesn't realise you cut the logs down. Reconnect and it'll grab the new entity data for the dropped blocks.
So having checked out the Thaum guild after being away for a few days playing Loadout and Mighty Quest, I've found 2 missing aura nodes, one of which was a 110 aer node, along with a missing magmatic engine. I've since replaced the magmatic engine because it actually disallowed access to our AE without that engine, but I can't really replace the node without a LOT of searching, hassle and effort.

They replace the lava blocks with stone so it doesn't cause a shit ton of lag whenever a lava source block is removed and the lava flow has to be recomputed. We might have botched the lava delivery system whilst doing so, and have one of your ender tanks in storage if you need it back.

Besides which, it was one of eight magmatic engines in the overworld behind our AE, not any part of the lava pumping system besides.
