I can't join the server. Minecraft closes everytime I try. Could someone try removing the wireless map from my inventory, because I think that's causing it. Name is Finvpwner and the id for wireless map is 6360.

So I was trying to download the old Cliffhaven/Virvel/Karkand map, and GREAT CHRIST it's 897MB.
Anyways, if any of you dudes played on vanilla, I was Regularbatman, I'm probably going to check out the FTB server.

Okay, so, I got it downloaded, but when I try to edit the modpack it doesn't show any mods. I can't join the server because I don't have forge. Why do I need forge? What do I even do?

People like you are exactly why launchers exist. It's not brain science or rocket surgery, dude.
1) Download launcher.
2) Start launcher. Select mod pack.
3) Click "Edit Mod Pack".
4) Follow instructions in OP.
5) Launch game through launcher.
Voila! Modded Minecraft with little to no effort on your part!

The problem isn't that it's too complicated, the problem is that this doesn't work. There are no nods in either column if I hit edit modpack. Nothing. The instructions make it sound simple, and it is simple, when it works, but right now it fucking doesn't work for inexplicable reasons beyond my control, so don't act like I'm retarde for poor FTB Launcher coding.

You downloaded the mod-pack first, right?

With monster I've found that sometimes you have to do a force download to be able to get it installed properly
to do that you go under options, and click "Force Update?" button

Did you install the right version of the mod-pack? The server currently runs on 1.0.7, while the launcher is probably setting you up with the recommended version which is 1.0.9 IIRC.
I selected 1.0.7. I followed all of the instructions in the OP except for the ones it didn't let me
Sorry if this had been asked, but i asked for a whitelist for me and my friends, and my friends haven't been whitelisted.
Whenever I start the FTB Monster pack the game and launcher simply closes with no warning after loading for a while. I can install and play other modpacks just fine, it seems that it's just the Monster modpack that won't work. I tried re-installing, but it won't work. Any ideas?

Did you increase the max RAM it can use? That's the only thing I can think of. Unless you re-installed it wrong? Did you try re-installing the launcher or the modpack?

I've tried re-installing both the modpack and the launcher, neither works. I've also tried increasing the maximum RAM usage, but that didn't help either.
