So are we going with or without Ex Nihilo/Aliquo? The others were mostly agreed upon, but I don't think we quite reached a verdict on those two in particular.
I think we agreed on it due to how it's helpful for augmenting supplies. It's also somewhat harder to automate then most other things.
As far as I know the setup we're testing stuff on right now does not include Ex Aliquo or the other one.
I would like EX Aliqou pls
time torches vor gregtech with hardcore pls
time torches vor gregtech with hardcore pls
Adding gregtech would require manual installation which, on a modpack with it's own installer is basically a big no-no. Gregtech is also an overhaul mod now, which is a really bad thing for any modpack not centred around it. As to time torches, we've discussed this - it kills servers, so not a chance.
Does yogcast complete has extra cell? Also how long till up :v:
Does yogcast complete has extra cell? Also how long till up :v:
It does.
I look forward to playing in the new server, though I've never played yogscast, is there any documentation for that modpack? (how to use the various mods, tips for starting etc..)
Well, for one it has Thermal Expansion, so to set up a rudimentary power-production and ore-doubling process, you would need approxmitately four items. A Steam Dynamo, to power your machines. This takes coal/charcoal/wood/anything you can burn in a furnace, plus water, to generate Redstone Flux, aka RF, the main power system for TE(and something that is used in a fair few mods). You would then need some Leadstone Energy Conduits to transport the power from the Dynamo to your machines. There are a few different tiers of conduits, but Leadstone is the quickest and easiest to make. Lastly, you would need a Pulverizer and a Powered Furnace. The Pulverizer grinds your ore blocks into two dusts, which then smelt into an ingot each of whatever ore you put in. You could use an ordinary furnace, but as you're generating power anyway, might as well make a Powered Furnace to smelt the dust. That should get you started on atleast a rudimentary system, so you can experiment more freely with the ores you get. Sadly there isn't one unified wiki for mods, so at times if there's a mod you want to look into, the best bet is to google and either try and find a wiki or the official mod page for it.
There's a much cheaper power generation machine called a "Survivalist Generator". It's from Extra Utilities and is really cheap to make. It even has a really high internal power storage. It also connects from any side, too. So for starting out the Steam Dynamo can be replaced with this for a bit until automation of Steam Dynamos can be done (Read: Pumping raw steam into them via steam boilers from Railcraft)
I dunno about anyone else, but im pretty excited for this change. Its a new beginning, a new world to explore and conquer, and new organizations all rolled into one!
I just wonder, what map seed will be used for the map? Due to terraingen, Chocoquest, and some other stuff in YCP, there's a lot more cooler seeds then what FTB Monster has.

[sp]all in favour of "nutsack", say i[/sp]
"I"
Bombs from Dartcraft and Dig Spells from Ars Magica don't apply to protection from plugins like Prism and LWC. Ars Magica can't have unique spell components banned/removed, and Bombs from Dartcraft can simply be disabled.
I didn't even know dart craft had bombs
Dartcraft is trying to replicate Zelda in most aspects, so.
Ars Magica can't have unique spell components banned/removed.
Did you mean can? Because I was playing on a Yogscast Complete Pack server and the dig spell was disabled. Edit: Or possibly you meant shouldn't?
Touch/Dig is a really useful way to level up early on in Ars, though.
Did you mean can? Because I was playing on a Yogscast Complete Pack server and the dig spell was disabled. Edit: Or possibly you meant shouldn't?
I couldn't find a way to disable it without it breaking. There's a config option to disable block breaking with Ars Magica apparently, but it makes the spell completely useless.
Touch/Dig is a really useful way to level up early on in Ars, though.
I didn't have any trouble leveling up. The Self-spells leveled me up quite nicely.
Do Ars spells trigger logblock?
The way the dig component was disabled on the server I played on, was so that I couldn't even research it.
Nope. That's why it's a big problem. Dartcraft Bombs don't either.
Disabling Dartcraft's bombs shouldn't be an issue, but I'm not sure what to do regarding AM2's dig. Personally I'm a big fan of projectile-dig while mining, as it's good for branch-mining, but the fact it circumvents logblock/etc is troublesome.

Has anyone tried it thoroughly or are we just assuming it based on what StarToad said?
I've tested it on another server, it bypasses Logblock, LWC, and Prism because the Dig thing doesn't use a forge function for block breaking.
Personally I'm a big fan of projectile-dig while mining, as it's good for branch-mining, but the fact it circumvents logblock/etc is troublesome.
Is it possible to disable dig for like anyone who isn't a Regular?
If you guys need any help with configuration on the server, I have a little bit of know-how and could ease to workload a little
