A lot of times idiot admins give out perma bans and temp bans for things that can be dealt ingame. And sometimes admins even ban people blindly as happened to me once in some old semi-rp server. I was perma banned for "ban avoiding" even though i was never even banned from that server. My guess was that admin who was dealing with some other guy at the same time thought i was his alt or something. I didn't try to appeal or something just decided such server isnt worth my time.

I'm not sure if this would be the right place to post it or not, but it's vaguely related to SS13, and BYOND in general;

I'm working on a new BYOND game with a few people, and it's similar to SS13. It borrows most of the SS13 sprites (because I cannot sprite), and sounds.

It's a sandbox/role-playing game based in a semi-past/future mix world (The [URL="https://github.com/sawu-tg/dragonroll/wiki/Story"]back story[/URL] explains it).

The gameplay will lend a lot of similarities to SS13, but a lot of core features are different, such as combat being based on stats, as well as things like abilities and spells.

You can download and play it [URL="https://github.com/sawu-tg/dragonroll"]here[/URL], and it's in a mostly playable state. Also for anyone here who can code/sprite, almost all content is accepted as long as it's thematic.

If people are interested, I could post some screenshots and videos i've taken throughout development.

Unfortunately no, I've asked MrStonedOne (the current host of /tg/) to host a test server, but he seems disinterested.

It's a byond game, so anyone can host it and play with their friends, but i've nowhere for an official server right now (and nor does it have any hub support yet).

So, ling round on para and the HoS is a ling. I transfer to sec, HoS kills the captain and becomes him, promotes me to HoS, then all of the other lings either die or become part of security.

We then murder the blueshield who is writing a letter to his father, as no one would believe him when he said all of the heads were lings.

And the RD kept giving us advanced e-guns and syndicate weaponry. Fun.

I just (mostly) finished another new thing for DragonRoll (the aforementioned game), and I thought I'd post a video if it being tested here;

It's not fully complete yet, but it's still interesting.

It's an NPC that spawns from evil portals, and resurrects similarly aligned players and NPCs.

If you need a spriter I'm willing to help, I am stuck in the arse end of nowhere for a couple months with fuck all to do. I did a bunch of sprites for /tg/, /vg/, hippie and one or two previous incarnations of the (actual) facepunch server. I'm the one who made the new computer sprites hippie uses (So now you know who to direct your anger at for that change) and these damn dogs nobody ever used along with a fuck ton of random misc sprites.

Goon. Best codebase, tons of stuff to do, admins aren't shitlers and actually have a lot of leeway if something can be considered funny/different.

Only outright griefing gets you banned from what I've seen in the thread.

People RP for time to time, though nothing serious. Like a day or two ago someone joined as a regional director (Job of the day thing you can sometimes get) and suspended wages until the crew made enough money to pay back the damage costs of the previous round.

I think I made about a third of the amount at the slot machines.

LightRP is a catch all term or any server that does not enforce any degree of roleplaying. In goons case everyone is playing the game with certain objective in mind, furthur bolstered by the optional crew objectives which means non tators can get greentext if they do things related to their job(They don't get to go on murder sprees or anything it just encorages them to do job related stuff).

In goon you can be an annoying little shit but not an outright dick, an example was I was selected to be a miscreant, where your optional objectives are there to get you to annoy the crew, in my case it was to enforce as much obstructive beuracracy as possible.

So I did the only logical thing, I got myself some table parts, a stack of paper and a pen and blocked off a hallway such that if people wanted to pass by I had to let them, and I asked them all to sign their names, jobs and the current time on a bit of paper. It got annoying to the point where the Quatermaster, who tends to live on the other side of the station, came over with a stolen stun baton to try and kill me(He failed) and got silly to the point where the admins gave me the mailman jumpsuit, a flash and an infinite supply of pens and paper.

The key is to be a little creative, lubing the hallway might befunny but it's been done a thousand times. Flooding the station with guard-buddies and bees however...

However being an ass by going around and pushing people over and opening windows to space will probably end up with the adminbus lodged sideways up your soon to be buttbot component.
