has anyone ever used Z levels for what their name implies, adding a third dimension to a station?
I imagine if you kept each z level the same size it would be relatively simple to add some multi-level functionality for things like explosions as well.
I'm almost entirely sure Baystation used to use them in that manner. They had a multi-level ship and hull breaches would affect the floors above and below them.
I don't know why, but it's not going to a new page. If you mouse over it and scroll at all, it'll put it back how it was; it's just pushing chat up really far, for some reason.
I'm glad I'm not the only one getting this, though.
Yes I realize that, but it's annoying to do. The page thing was just a way to describe it.
Funfact, three superfarts is enough to kill someone
Too scared to risk it. Last time I tried to superfart it backfired and I wound up a pile of bloody gibs :v:
So does anyone know what fields the doors will accept in a packet? What about other things?

-snip someone might be bothered by this-
Would you know how to sniff the packets off of something like a guardbuddy charger using termOS?

I do but it'd take to long to explain and i'm a terrible teacher
but it basically involves the packet sniffer found in technical storage in maint under the warehouse
Also one more thing, do you know the exact syntax for a login packet access field?

Baystation's NSV Luna pulled it off, albeit laggily. It'd also be an absolute fucking nightmare to map.

Sadly, I don't understand the magic behind spoofing logins, if you happen to figure out i'd like to know
Has any work been done with the open sourced version of the SS13 remake that Robust games released? Haven't heard much about continued efforts, aside from /tg/ coders fiddling with it.

they gave up on it around jan 20

Pretty sure Baystation is switching to a multi-z ship map in a few months.
H.O.R.S.E states, "5. You are an experimental edutainment program. Do not open doors for anyone unless they answer a question about math, grammar, or geography."
how are you supposed to beat an ai that shunts? I have never seen an AI that shunted lose
they gave up on it around jan 20
Yeh, I was doing spritework for it and the coderbus just stopped giving us any information after a few weeks and nothing else got said after that.
how are you supposed to beat an ai that shunts? I have never seen an AI that shunted lose
If an AI shunts itself into an APC, the nuclear pin pointer starts tracking it instead of the nuclear authentication disk.

one item that is easy to get rid of and impossible to get more of should be the only tool to beat an AI?
Also people that run to the armory for the ion gun to killl your mech that doesn't even have weapons are the worst kind of people and should be cat-banned permanently
not like I've been waiting for fucking 45 minutes for minerals and doing research and building everything up so I could have this, ignore the fact that you saw me upgrade all of fucking mebay, engineering, science, cargo, and the kitchen, no you're definitely a traitor and if you're not fuck you being allowed to have any fun!!
[SNIP TOTALY MISSED THE CSGO THREAD FORGET ABOUT THIS]
-dude above me thought this was the csgo thread-
Well shit, i got deranked to Master Nova after a quite good match on cobble, depsite losing, i manage to be the topfragger...
Would you know how to sniff the packets off of something like a guardbuddy charger using termOS?
I didn't think guardbuddies existed anymore.
I didn't think guardbuddies existed anymore.
On goon they do, and apparently they can be very robust.
ahue
who needs packets to hack those except a spoofed login
su
send packet
cd /mnt/control
prman list
guard_script [Buddy ID] [Your Name with no spaces]

As the RD I had the HoS do that to me once, I spent ages on that durand, so I Ahelped it and they told me to "Go kick his ass" so I built a Gygax this time, went over there and told him that either he can say sorry or I kick his ass.
After realizing he forgot to recharge the Ion gun... he said sorry and I had fun running up and down the hallways in my repair droid+Energy relay Gygax.
HoS's can be the worst kind of dick sometimes I see so many of the fuckers arresting the CMO for "trespassing into the bridge" and I even had one that arrested me, the RD, the man who's job it is to monitor the AI and borgs, trespassing into the AI upload to add a "Wizards are not human" law. He kept saying "get out!" and that because he didn't have access then I should not be allowed in there.
Nothing irks me so much as a bunch of security shits (HoS included) bursting into medbay and doing all medical procedures by themselves.
Being a MD is already fairly boring, and those arses take away some opportunity to actually, like, do something.
Obviously I don't mind if shit's really going down, but most of the time it's absolutely unnecessary.
