Security officers really should use their Martial Arts more. Seen an awful lot of them stun people and keep stunning them when they have no spare hand cuffs. Instead of pinning the person down and requesting some spares. On that note, how exactly does pinning people down work? Can it be resisted out of? On the note of security, security's escape pod on hippie is buggy again. The first compartment seems to depressurize at the drop of a hat, for seemingly no reason.

It's dumb how everything relies on stuns but whatever it's a shitty spaceman sim

Most servers I see just have stunguns require multiple hits before they go down, but still faster then other weapons.

I like the stun-based combat system, it's pretty realistic compared to most games. I mean, Spaceman are pretty meaty and can take a lot of damage, it would be really absurd in Byond's laggy jenky mess to actually kill someone without unconsciousness/stuns/grabs to make it possible. It also does obey the core martial arts tenant of "if you're on the ground you're fucking dead kiddo".

I like the idea behind stun weapons but hate the one-hit stun that stunguns and stun batons have on Hippie. No matter what job I am, if I know I'm going to fight Security or some other well-armed group, I always bring some spare meth because it's literally the only counter to stuns.

If someone has a stun weapon and they're lagging less than you are then it's GG no RE. This always happens anyways because anyone can make a stun prod for dirt cheap and then spam the fire extinguisher. For some reason the coders thought that the Energy Crossbow deserved a nerf more than this. Hell, the thing lifeweb got right was this. There you can kick someone in the nuts if they don't pin you down before doing whatever they were going to do after stunning you. Talking about coders, Baystation makes me want to put down my cat and feed it to the lions at the local zoo. If those fucks at furaffinity weren't notified of the game and didn't jump onto /tg/ and steal more code than a mexican shoplifting, we wouldn't have all of this furry drama. I'm not even going to mention paradise which is just bay with a wider field of view, an easily exploitable karma system and shitty snowflakes abusing the flavor text feature. Also why does it feel like every server really wants me to call for an admin every time I have a problem? What if my character is the Head of Security? If someone tries to steal my shit, I have guys to take care of it in-character, or at the very least I should be able to track him down personally and dump his body in the sewers. I'm an adult. I don't need some twelve-year-old Daddy stand-in to fight my battles for me, just stick to banning griefers and multikeyers please (no offense to the cool admins, I'm not referring to you guys). So, I was playing on Hippie, and I started the round as Atmos. I decided to build a delivery system in arrivals, to make it faster to get out of the arrivals shuttle. Some fuck saw it and decided to start a riot in Sec shortly after, and tl;dr chaos built up. Eventually I finished the system, and started looking around for something else to do. I ended up walking past the teleporter, and realizing the door was stuck open. I walked in and teleported to the AI satellite, where I found an Ion rifle on the ground. I fired it a couple of times, trying to get into the AI's core just to fuck around. Couldn't get in, so I teleported to the bridge, and got myself into the upload chamber. Had to fire the ion rifle at the console to get it to actually connect to the AI, but once I did, some greyshirt threw the Freeform module to me, and I went to town. I ended up dying while trying to get to Escape, since it'd finally been called, because a traitor with a holoparasite ran into me and decided I would look better with full burn damage. Fun round, though.

I was Holoparasite Green! King Arthur was trying to take over the station for the good ol' British and teamed up with Liquid Snake to do it. I kept accidentally setting him on fire but he never died. Everyone sort of died when 4 feral cat grenades went off on the escape shuttle.
