Space Station 13 v11 - Admiral Hippie does bad videos - Games

Well, that was an interesting round as the Heir on Lifeweb. The Baroness spawned in my bedroom, next to me, then I stole the silver from the Baron's quarters and fucked off to the Inn to get drunk. Immediately after I asked for a drink, a portal appeared and Soulbreakers stepped through; I called it out on the radio, then half the fortress came to help out. Baron dove through, went silent for a while, then came back and announced that he killed all of the breakers. I headed back to the throne room, to think about all that shit, and the Fallen appeared in front of me and offered me a deal; I asked for Immortality, and he gave me the contract. Before I could sign it, though, a thanati cultist someone had called out a bit ago after he rode up in the elevator ran up to me and implanted something in my arm, then ran off. I headed towards my room for the privacy to sign the contract, then suddenly I got shocked. A fuckton. Enough so that my flesh completely melted away, leaving me nothing but a skeleton in heir's garb. Then the Cerberus who was taking my body to be buried [I]also[/I] got a contract for immortality, and he signed it as he was taking me to the chapel. The Bishop called him on it, then he managed to kill a fuckton of people in the chapel/inquisition building. And then I played a Skinless for a minute until the Charon left and the round ended.

so are migrants just fucked from square one because every time i seem to join now i get stuck with migrant as my only option, and i just wander through the caverns till i die randomly or get attacked by monsters [editline]22nd January 2016[/editline] oh i see 1776 is just absolutely stuck on migration mode welp glad i dont get to play this weekend seeing as the only server that has any people is always 100% full

At least, if you're not familiar with how a lot of the game works; if you don't know how to cook, you'll be eating and drinking basically poison. If you don't know how to light a fire, good luck staying warm. ETC, Migrants need to know how to do a lot of things to have any chance of surviving until they reach the fortress.

But the ban only lasts for 1 second; it's literally just so they can tell you why you're not getting in without letting you in so they can kick you. I'm not sure if the panic bunker is up right now, but it won't actually hurt to try. The only way to get a ban lasting longer than 1 second on Lifeweb is to join on one account, then join on another account from the same IP.

Do you guys want a 3D Space Station 13 or just the same game basically in top-down 2D but on a different engine?

i wont speak for anyone else, but i feel like ss13 belongs in that top down perspective that being said, byond is literally fucking garbage and needs to die in a fire, if you made a ss13 remake that was the same style and just as easy to mod, while being crazy stable and whatnot that'd be absolutely insane

I'm pretty sure for being an entirely online game, SS13 has some of the worst-optimized code I've ever seen. Stuff like: Every tile checking for particle effects. Every movement action checking if you're in clown shoes. Hundreds of individual tiles of atmospherics instead of grouping tiles. All that piled onto byond.

With all these people working on a non-BYOND version, I almost wonder if I should bother. It seems the combat is indeed present. What is pending then?

Bit of a random thing to bring up, but after trying out lifeweb I realized something about SS13. Why the fuck can't we use Set Transfer Amount on buckets and beakers any more? Taking this away has added a needless tedium to mixing chems and drinks.

i'm sorry [editline]23rd January 2016[/editline] I moved the singulo generator out of the way of the containment field to set up the Tesla, but I put it in the path of the PA still. Que setting up the SMES and noticing that the PACMAN generator is sliding over towards the PA for no reason. If the round hadn't of crashed I would have actually been able to set up the last 2 SMES to the grid and it would have been a-ok.

Since the rod technically isn't in you but on the floor instead you can't remove it the normal way and you need surgery. It's really fucked.
