Hippie is having a bit of a crisis at the moment with spam. I believe you can just make an NTSL script where if 1 = 1 then it sends WGW. Since 1 is always 1 it just spams 24/7. These people used a macro, apparently.
and it might become the reason to remove NTSL, or something to tone this shit down. Also busy making more mothmen wingstyles might be added next month

I've dealt with some of these today. Swift justice will be delivered... Swiftly.
Played my first ever round last night. Kinda uneventful. Was playing as janitor and actually trying to do my job. About 5 minutes in a guy who I'm assuming was the HoP, I didn't even check, asked me if I wanted all access and I naturally said yes. So after that's done I spent a long time just wandering around cleaning shit up, people bleeding all over my nice clean station! So eventually I just start to get a bit tired of cleaning up all the blood and go to the bar, where I might add everyone else on the station has been having a drug and booze filled party. I forgot to mention that within minutes of the round starting space weed was declared legal. Anyway, I sit down at the bar, after cleaning up all the blood a vomit, a grab a nice bottle of Canadian Porter, as a Canadian myself I couldn't resist. So I take 1 sip and the words "OH NO OH NO OH GOD" in nice big letters appear in the chat box and 1 second later I explode and die also killing the guy next to me iirc. And thus ended the janitorial adventures of Dave Powerball (King of Clean). The lag in this game in unbearable. 63 ping and I could still only move at like 3 to 5 second intervals with people and things warping all over the place. Having to click shit like 5-10 times to finally register that you clicked it was annoying as fuck. There were only like 30 people on. Was like I was playing on dialup.

Some servers are smoother than others.
and it might become the reason to remove NTSL, or something to tone this shit down.
It would certainly tone it down, but there still exist other ways to bring servers to a crawl with radios.
Is there a way to download the shame.zip separately? It won't fully DL when joining lifeweb server
Is there a way to download the shame.zip separately? It won't fully DL when joining lifeweb server
No. If it doesn't download entirely before you get in, don't worry about it; you'll get stuck with a black screen for a bit, while it finishes downloading. After it's done(You'll see the gargoyle splash thing and hear that Aphex Twin song), reconnect and you should get the character set-up page.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I decided to use my other account and joined on the lifeweb server! IM FUCKED FOREVER! Does the ban last long?
Aww man, NTSL got removed from Hippie. It was broken as shit and /tg/ had really really good reason to remove it, but it was fun to fuck around with.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I decided to use my other account and joined on the lifeweb server! IM FUCKED FOREVER! Does the ban last long?
I have no idea how long it lasts. I'd recommend trying to connect on your other account, to see if you can still use it, and never doing the only thing that can get an account banned for more than 1 second again. [editline]23rd January 2016[/editline] If the Interzone was still up, I'd suggest messaging someone about getting unbanned, but idk if there's any way to appeal right now.
Is it just me, or is hippiestation running overall slower than it was a week or two ago? Seems to be getting more and more unstable these days too.
We are. Chair cats.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I decided to use my other account and joined on the lifeweb server! IM FUCKED FOREVER! Does the ban last long?
Lasts about a week I think
There's been some long lasting bug when servers hit around 75 players that causes the game to lock up for like 5 seconds at a time. MSO, the /tg/ host, recently put up a makeshift patch to prevent the lockups that just drops the FPS briefly to avoid the conditions that cause the lockups, so if you've noticed random bursts of low FPS shittiness lately, that'd be it
my friend is a good chemist.
That's a lot of blackpowder... And I mean a lot.
my friend is a good chemist.
How the heck did he manage that one with nades?
I've lost the screenshot, but it used to be possible to get reagents amount to go negative, after which things would go screwy and reagents would start duplicating. It also turns out that explosions get a bit janky at round 50k units of nitroglycerin :v:
How the heck did he manage that one with nades?
Bluespace beakers, one filled with water and one filled with potassium, make a max cap explosion.
Bluespace beakers, one filled with water and one filled with potassium, make a max cap explosion.
I didn't use bluespace beakers, and the radius of destruction here is larger than maxcap. Just sayin
What beakers did you use, then? Also how do you get bluespace beakers?
What beakers did you use, then? Also how do you get bluespace beakers?
Large.
So how do I connect to Lifeweb? I've got the IP but I don't know what to do now.
So how do I connect to Lifeweb? I've got the IP but I don't know what to do now.
Put it in the URL bar of your browser and enter. It will open a prompt asking you what to do. If BYOND is in the list of programs, select it and accept. It should launch. If your "link" doesn't start with the "byond://" protocol (like "byond://<IP or URL address>:<port>"), write that in the URL bar and then append with your copy of their IP/URL address.
I am back, finally. Bunch of shit happened.
So on TGstation they literally removed virology. I mean literally removed diseases, virology and such. "NOW WE HAVE LESS CODE ISSUES GUYS" removing entire features for the sake of a reduction of CODE ISSUES BONER. nice software development...

I thought the pull got denied because it was so retarded when they tried it 2 weeks ago.
As if anyone needed more reason to leave the worst server on ss13
