I was thinking, since I actually got a license for Adobe Creative Cloud I'm gonna ask Hippie if he can give me access to the Hippie source code to enable me to make a local server and actually produce some tutorials.
Basically do what I wanted to do fall of last year except now I've got the motivation and the tools.
Dunno what you guys think.
I'd rather be the one to make the tutorials to be honest.
If you can list a bunch of subjects for the tutorials, I'd be up for making them.

Include one showing the consequences of erotic roleplay and why you should not do it.
Make it NotEvenOnce in theme and style.

It's a little overcrowded at times, but it is bravely fighting the good fight.

As long as it doesn't get the stupid gameplay changes /tg/ has been making. Nor is adding anything overly complicated or just needed for the damn game, IE someone suggested /tg/'s current bleed system being implemented. I'm all for other ways of playing SS13 but I highly prefer semi-vanilia gameplay where I don't need to make bandages and shit. That's the stuff for Bay,RP severs, and Sim games.
I like that for hippie SS13 feels much more like a game instead of just playing with your imagination. People there seem to drop most of their RP pretenses, and really only a dash of it is there to keep things fun.
I think that the health system is already fairly robust, although maybe if you extended chem a little that would be cool. Also some more changes to the station could help make things interesting.
Like does chlorine even hurt people when inahled? And what about different types of phosphorus? Incendiary grenades would be cool. Also fluorine generally bursts into flame on contact with air moisture or any objects that arent glass or nonreactive elements.

Problem is medical is so boring and half of it is unneeded for almost every game.
Surgery is never used except for the times someone needs eye surgery (never), appendicitis (almost never) or wants augmentation (Which they go to robotics).
If youre hurt, you either break in and steal a medkit, use all the bruise packs and ointment and leave, or you convince a doctor to throw you in a sleeper, press about 2 buttons twice, and throw you out.
Got shot? Bruise pack. Got beat? Bruise pack. Got lit on fire? Ointment. Somehow ended up with toxin damage? steal a toxins medkit and inject it all, heal, run away.
Adding a minor bleed system, or a cut system or whatever wouldn't turn Hippie into "Bay, Rp servers, and Sim games." It'd add a bit of depth to a currently terrible and uninspired system.

For me the point was just to have a project to work on again and get some practice with Photoshop/Premiere/After Effects. The format would have probably been much more standard and less organized than what I was thinking about last August just to reduce the workload and have a something that's not too big so that it can actually be finished and quickly updated if needed. I would have explained things as I felt they were important in no specific order, probably starting with the basic premise, controls and survival and then moving on from subject to subject with small, 2 to 5 minutes videos. Like, starting with how to start the engine, wire solars etc... then medical, then chemistry etc... maybe doing some episodes on more mundane things in-between to change the pace. I would have probably also have used the opportunity to update the wiki. I wouldn't have had any issue signing an NDA if that was a concern. I don't have any problem "earning my keep" so to speak to be able to play on a local server and test changes.
So, for the tutorials I don't really have a list of subjects. I was just going to make it up as I went along.
I was attacked by someone who tried to escape by walking through space at escape, then after I kill them I walk to the bar, get accused of being a murderer, and attacked again.

In all honesty though seriously don't do this, It's a horrible idea, Also note the plasma tanks don't work for rocket shoes

On goon we have cuts/blood loss, and limbs fall off left and right, so blood transfers and surgery is a thing that happens a lot, and goon is hardly an rp/sim server.
So when is the wiki going to be back up?
So when is the wiki going to be back up?
The guy who runs and maintains the wiki should be able to bring it back up when he gets online.
Could someone please tell me what the major changes are in the last 6 months?
And what happened to tg
Thank you in advance guys:)

Which sounds way more fun than either "apply bruise pack to fix sword wound" or "wait in medical while the doctor tells you the blood type"
If there's one thing from goon I'd like to see on Hippie it's the blood loss system and bullet/shrapnel sticking in wounds and needing to be extracted.

/tg/ had a separation of thinking what's good for the server with the "Coderbus" and the rest of the server, it eventually blossomed into a cancerous tree with it's own little community that, while in the extreme minority (About 10 people, at most?) had control over the entire server.
With them being coders, they wanted, and got, their own vote for Headmin. Wherein three Headmin's are elected, One Majority rule (Players) the second Admin, and third Coders.
With them successfully controlling the way the server played, and no one outside of them (On the community) knowing how to successfully code it, it allowed them to manhandle things they wanted into the script, or changed things to how they wanted into the script, without any actual opposition.
With the rest of /tg/ yelling on how idiotic and narcissistic they were, they told them that they'd get used to the changes, meaning that they knew all they needed to do was weather the complaints (Which couldn't really get them removed) and wait for the opposition to die down until they do what they want once again.
Thus, over the period of 1 year, a lot of changes that go against the grain have occurred on /tg/, which has led to hippie actually becoming more popular with the playerbase of SS13 and it's actually starting to beat out /tg/ nowadays. Solely because the Coderbus of /tg/ do what they want, much to the ire of the playerbase.
It's a shame to see such a once good server go down the shitter because of the bitter, burnt-out players that they call "coders" taking such control over it

It is. I really enjoyed playing on /tg/, nowadays i'm waiting till my ban's up on Hippie so I can go back and play on there.
I still enjoy TG but mainly cause I know the community there I suppose..although more shit changes and I might call it.

Cut your losses and ditch it, mate
Personally I think people, both, over praise hippiestation and too harshly criticise /tg/station.
Every single server has good strengths and weaknesses, I can go on about how /tg/station has somewhat out of touch coders, or poor game mode selections just as much as I can go on about how hippiestation has bad sprites, or poor players or anything else I care to bring up.
Every server plays to a particular playstyle, I personally am not a fan of hippiestation's playstyle, however I know people who really like hippestation's playstyle and dislike /tg/stations playstyle.
Its all opinion, you just have to jump in and find out which server/s suit your tastes better.
