this is the perfect song to play for fucking shit up
Music is good, vocal is awful, I just hate screaming like that - that is purely my opinion, so frakk off!
Gimme some good instrumentals like these (no vocals) and I will gladly overwrite whatever is in the game.

do you even into lyrics?
Breathing slowly, mechanical heartbeat
Losing contact with the living
Almighty TV plugged, hybrid empty brain
Don't see anything real in the game
The tension is building constantly
No reason just a reflex I have, driven by clockwork
I try to keep an eye open
And I realize I haven't closed my eyes in a long time
Neglected emotions leading to catastrophic voyage on the other side
I have been given so much stress and lack of confidence
I've been given the gift of so small hope deep inside
I haven't closed my eyes in a long time, I am trying
I cannot stomach these forms and colors anymore
But I'm here to continue, after all I have been through
I try to keep my eyes open, I am realizing
This life and death more precious than anything
I won't bring no materials in the after life
Take no possessions, I would rather travel light
I'm of this kind that kills all day
But I don't know yet how to die
Art of dying is the way to let all go
Within I practice, in the secret of my soul
My shape in the reflector has
Now for ever, a life on it's own

do you even into lyrics?
It's not that I don't understand lyrics,
I really just don't like that sort of vocal, but I like music in the background, that is all.
Anyone remember how when this was announced, everyone hated it for being edgy and dumb with dull gameplay and duller graphics? Then SJW people on tumblr said they hated it too, when suddenly everyone here loves the shit out of it as a 'smart, fun and ironic Postal-esque commentary on violent videogames', with people pre-ordering and rallying for petitions to get it back on Steam?
Then it falls out of media attention, and the opinion here is pretty much back to 'yeah, it was a bad game all along'.
I love this site, and this game - it's like a social experiment. Still not gonna buy it though.
I'm not a fan of the game-- but it has the right to be on the store.
There's a new trailer out.

new trailer, and june 1st release date
This dev team is pretty talented. They should make another game, but not a sequel.
yeah, honestly it looks pretty sick. i'm not fond of top-down bloodbath games but i think everyone wants to blow everything up in this. we desperately need more physics based destruction games

So Hatred isn't going to be on GOG.com
Sucks, but they do have a right to not sell the game. At least it will be on steam.
Honestly I am on the fence about it. Not because of the content - thats actually why I am curious about this in the first place - but rather if the game will be *good* or if it will end up being nothing more then a mess of violence with nothing to show for it.
Because honestly if the game turns out alright, I'm in for it!
I can't wait to play this.

best thing to do is buy the game straight from the website, they give you a steam code. also steam still doesn't have a buy option up.
This proves that the people behind GOG are a bunch of pussies.
I really hope the game has a mood whiplash right at the start and turns into a tongue-in-cheek shooter filled with Duke Nukem one-liners.
I mean, it's basically Postal anyways.
who cares if it's on GOG or not, honestly
Can you put an assault rifle up a cat's butt in this game?
??? the cat is the assault rifle

the mods for this game will be fantastic.
It honestly isn't all that bad. Postal 2 was way more violent. The adults only rating was kinda unnecessary if you ask me.

Its something they use as a publicity stunt.
This game is just too violent for store shelves!
... even though it isn't.
People talk about whether or not Not Important should be able to kill children, would make the game too violent, maybe he considers them not worth killing, ect, but my personal headcanon is that he doesn't kill them because he keeps shooting over their heads, he can't aim up or down because it's a top-down shooter :v:
Methinks that Hatred is trying to be Postal 1. There was a certain air that Postal had that made it so fucked up. I think the devs are trying to capture that same feeling, only that it makes it so overblown that you'd swear it's coming from some high school kids journal about the bullies in school. It's the same thing as re-doing something that was popular or controversial but hilariously missing the point.
Even [sp]the ending[/sp] seems to evoke this.

Games like Hotline Miami and Postal each have a unique charm that prevent them from being straight mass murder simulators. HM is dripping in neo 80's style, and Postal's nightmareish level transitions give the impression of truly playing as a mentally deranged killer.
Hatred has none of that. It's played so straight that it manages to make gunning down civilians uninteresting.

I'm not entirely sure how these are even remotely alike. Unless, of course, you mean the ending isn't trying to copy Postal, but is rather just fitting in with the "14 year old edge" aesthetic of the game. In that case, bad reading (x 1)
[sp]In the first game, P. Dude's mind breaks and he collapses, presumably after trying to kill children in a school. He is then captured and supposedly subject to experimentation.
Unless you mean Postal 2, in which a nuke actually IS used to blow up the town.[/sp]
Do we know if the devs intended it to be corny? My opinion is that the character is so edgy on purpose, and is not meant to be taken seriously.
Game of the year?
I can't stop re-watching the ending because of how fucking goofy it is.

The developers who formed Destructive Creations have previously worked on Necrovision which is basically an ersatz of Painkiller.
It's kind of their specialty, they take games and make more recent versions with very little improvement or novelty added to them, just a little bit of polish and their own goofy as fuck cheesy edginess.

I think Hatred was trying to top Postal 1's ending in terms of fuck-itude. [sp] The Postal Dude loses it by the end of the game and gets caught while on his way to the school. "Nott Imporchant" loses it from the very beginning when he goes up to the nuclear plant with the intention of killing everyone in the town and succeeds.[/sp] The Postal Dude is, well, postal. The dude from Hatred is just a dumb angst-y guy who acts like a teen whose Mom took his CoD game while having bully problems in school. Again, it tries to be Postal 1 while at the same time trying to beat it in terms of how fucked the premise is. In the end, it's just a silly game with an edgy crazy dude with lack of gratuitous violence to warrent the AO rating.

As far as I know, no. None of the devs so far have commented on the intended tone of the game. I dare say that they are just as serious and edgy as Mr. "Nott Imporchant."
@Ganerumo, Did not know that. I still think that unless someone from the studio comes out and says "This game is silly, and we made it that way", they are serious.
Mortal Kombat X is more violent than this game is
