Wow I didn't think it was possible but this game actually beat nukem forever for how tasteless it is.

the developers said in an interview that Hatred is a sort of spiritual successor to Postal 1, since it was a 'serious' game, and they didn't like the satirical take of Postal 2.
Welp, the game turned out how I thought it would.
Ultimately mediocre, and not really worth the attention on both sides.
It doesn't really evoke any unpleasant feelings, nor does it act as a piece of satire like people were saying it would. It's just ultimately boring, and the lines the main character spouts are cringeworthy, and not in a funny way. More in a genuinely annoying way.
It really makes me think why people tried to latch onto this game so much in ways that were for or against it when it was really nothing special. Honestly, if the people against the game didn't give it so much attention, it probably would've just been brushed aside by most. Instead, they basically ended up doing the exact opposite of what they intended, and essentially mass marketed the game to people who like controversy.
The visuals are kind of nice though, as are the physics, but that's not exactly hard to achieve when your game is made in UE4.
Who knows though. Maybe the devs can use the shit tons of money they'll probably be getting for this game in order to create an actual awesome game with UE4. I'd love to see that personally, because it seems like the devs have some decent talent and skills behind them.
