I actually think Validated Doomsayer is super interesting, I just don't know if it'll be any good Like, it's a card that ignores Aldor Peacekeeper Maybe that's a super specific counter, but it's still fun
I'm personally looking forward to Validated Doomsayer's lines. Those will be fun.
Iunno. I think Validated Doomsayer has much more potential then a Fel Reaver. Stand Against Darkness feels like Muster for Battle Redux, with no Light's Justice because it got stupid with that.
How? It fills the same role as fel reaver but its just weaker and less consistent.
It's downside isn't NEARLY as bad It's barely a downside offensively, just not something you can play reactively I would honestly say the effect is almost totally positive barring silence and then hey, it eats a silence
They silence it, you skipped turn 5 They don't silence it, they just trade into it for free, you skipped turn 5
They do neither of those things, which depending on the deck you put it in isn't unlikely, you have a 7/7 ready to attack on turn 6 Listen, I'm not saying it's good, but I think it's leagues better than Fel Reaver Fel Reaver always just seemed like complete trash to me
Like both are finisher cards, which is why fel reaver fits into mage/shaman with all the burst spells (plus the mech synergy usually) But with doomsayer you can't cheat it out with mechwarpers, and the decks that let it reliably live a turn (board control decks) don't have reliable burst [editline]12th March 2016[/editline] Though I like the idea of adding it to ramp druid as another fatty, or maybe zoo?
To be fair Fel Reavers also leaving standard Again, I don't think that Doomsayer is going to be a good card necessarily, I'm just trying to find the interesting stuff out of an underwhelming first few This has been the first expansion build up I'll have been playing Hearthstone for, I want to get excited for something
so have they nerfed anything yet, i didn't watch anything [editline]12th March 2016[/editline] or given clues as to what's on the chopping block?
They did mention BGH in an IGN interview but they also said even they don't nevessarily know what they're nerfing until they do it
everything about the expansion has been super meh so far the unimaginative mediocre cards combined with the disappointing release date confirmation really made this announcement fall flat for me
They've still got 127 cards left to reveal Besides, I think a lot of the excitement will come back when we finally see the nerfs
i realise that, it just seems like a lame way to announce the new expansion. they killed a lot of the hype, hopefully the set has some heavy hitters and it doesn't turn into another TGT
Seriously, what's up with them only revealing 1 card per day and all the cards so far being kinda crappy, except for C'Thun and his cultists? What a way to completely kill the hype boners.
I like how everyone's complaining about the new cards being on the low end of the power scale when most of the high end of the power scale is moving over to wild.
You can only play these cards in aggressive decks because their effect is horrible when you are behind and they don't stop you from dying.

and the decks that let it reliably live a turn (board control decks) don't have reliable burst
Freeze Mage is a deck that in all likelihood will continue to exist after this card's release. It'll survive turns just like Doomsayer survives turns, it'll just be more expensive to pull off. Of course Validated Doomsayer+Frost Nova into Alex curves out perfectly to leave the other guy on 8 hp on turn 9 with a 7/7 and 8/8 to deal with while also healing out of range of the rest of your burn.

The only card they specifically talk about wanting to change is BGH, but from what streamers have been hinting at I'm willing to bet Knife Juggler, combo druid, freeze mage, and maybe handlock will be some of the cards/decks being affected.

The card is just a fancy rework of normal doomsayer, that's its own card.

One thing I don't like about these new cards is the difficulty when referencing them. Instead of just saying "doomsayer" I have to specify "regular" doomsayer because there are now two cards with very similar names. It's going to be really annoying if they do that for a lot of cards.

What should be the acronym for the new expansion? WotOG? WOG? OG?
I like WoG

Hogger 2: The Hoggening
Looks like they are trying to bring the power level down by overvaluing card text. Even in TGT and LoE, most non-legendary neutral minions don't see constructed play. I'm sure we just have to wait for that dozen of decent class cards to show up. Guys we ain't be getting another GvG.
I don't mind the cards not being OP, but they're just boring. Loot Hoarder, Healbot, Hogger, Stand Against Darkness are just scaled-up versions of existing cards. Doomsayer is unique but it's still just a pile of stats with a drawback. C'Thun and his cultists are the only exciting thing they've shown so far.
Evil Hogger is confirmed to be named Hogger, the Doom of Elwynn and not the Scourge. Source: Blizz post on reddit. I actually like this card. It's going to be alot of trouble for Aggro decks, and will make value trades against Control. However it's pretty meh otherwise, and you won't see a single trace of it in Wild. I must agree most of the mechanics shown thus far look unimagnative. This is just a rebalanced Garr from Nefarian vs Ragnaros.
You folks make a fair point. Here's hoping that they are just getting the boring cards out of the way before the exciting ones.
NEW CARD [t]https://i.imgur.com/KTvfSCT.jpg[/t] 8 mana 8/8 Hunter Epic Beast Whenever an attack by this minion kills another minion, it can attack again. Image of this minion belongs to Ouro, an optional boss in the WoW raid Temple of Ahn'Qiraj (where is also C'Thun). So Halion and Co. are proven to be fake. Here is what disproves the existence of Dr. Five (thanks god) http://www.hearthhead.com/news=251771/hearthstones-whispers-of-the-old-gods-everything-we-know
