Worth noting that even at 0 mana both those cards can matter.
Malygos on turn 9 + flame = 5 damage and a malygos being developed.
Both can trigger pyromancer, flamewaker, etc. Pyromancer will most likely kill the wisp/tinyfin you get from the priest spell, unless if they add new 0 drops. Pretty neat cards, tho the mage card is pretty bad.
Forbidden Flame sounds like the kind of card that everybody automatically knows is crap but ends up becoming a must-include due to some weird interaction
plus how does it work with Sorcerer's Apprentice? does it leave you with 1 mana, or does it do +1 damage?

It's 0-cost, t losing mana is its effect so Sorcs Apprentice does nothing to it

Also they seemed to imply every class would get one Forbidden spell? What's Warlock get you think?

They will just summon wisps.
I think Forbidden Flame is surprisingly good, I recommend putting in at least one in your mage deck.

I think the mana cost will change to reflect the actual cost
seems like the blizzard way to do things
It's versitility is definitely cool, and if nothing else it's a free Flamewaker trigger
But yeah the priest one is miles ahead and Mage already has s bunch of cheap damage
But who knows? It definitely seems like the kind of card we'll all find out is super clutch and just the right amount of damage for any given situation

I think the power of Forbidden Flame is that it's an answer that grows with time but can also be a filler in case you just need to spend all those remaining Mana crystals. If your opponent plays a 5/5, you can Flame it at the cost of your turn, but save your Fireball in the process.

it's also a turn 2 response to knife thrower and a free ping after you play a spell damage minion
so it's kind of meh in a lot of situations, but that's actually pretty useful

it doesn't need to give you an advantage - for decks like Freeze Mage, wasting turn 5 for both players is exactly the kind of thing you want to do.
I'd still want to see something like this, could be pretty neat for Arena.

I decided to make my first card thinking of what could be good for Paladin.
Honestly I have no clue but I made a decent guess I think.

Now that's just [i]ultra[/i] inefficient. Holy Light heals 6 for 2 Mana, Lay on Hands heals 8 for 8 Mana with three cards being drawn.
Well I'm not sure what would be a good Paladin card that fit's with the expac's theme while being a good card.
The mage card does damage, Priest does summoning, what could paladin do?

I was just thinking of that idea, and it actually wouldn't be OP. Think about it:
At 2 Mana, it restores 4 Health. Worse than Holy Light's 6 Health.
At 3 Mana, it restores 6 Health. Worse than Healing Touch's 8 Health, and even if you could debate that Druid should have the better healing, there's also the fact that it's a 1-mana more expensive Holy Light.
At 5 Mana, it restores 10 Health. A little more healing than Antique Healbot, but there's almost no scenario where you'd want an extra 2 Health over a 3/3 body.
At 6 Mana and higher, this is the point where the healing provided is possibly viable. It'd come down to preference to when you'd want a cheaper 12-Health with 2 Holy Lights (taking up an extra card slot), or having that extra 8 Health over a Guardian of Kings or Lay on Hands for when you are in a dire situation (and don't need card draw). Though, you do have to be aware that you're taking up more than half of your turn just to heal yourself.

So I have this CRAZY idea for a hero portrait thing.
Have a Hero be from a Legendary, and have the typical Hero take the Legend's place as the Legendary!
Example: Blizz puts Tirion Fordring as a Paladin Hero in the store

Just opened a golden Thalnos today. Now I just need all the good rogue cards so I can make a deck with him. Until then, I guess he'll fit in a reno mage or something?
It's funny how a month ago I'd have been happy to finally have the Dr. 7, but with standard and a new expansion coming up, I'm definitely not dusting this one right now.
