This is a terrible card in current paladin murloc decks.
This is a terrible card in current paladin murloc decks.
Well, yes....it's not made for anyfin otk decks
that's pretty obvious
It's made for an actual murloc paladin deck, and its not bad at all.
Run 1 of these and 1 sir finley. Gives a lot of versatility. Don't get a lifetap or other 'decent' hero power? Replace your hero power with murlocs.
Don't feel like you need the 1-1's too much? Get rid of your murlocs for a chance at lifetap.
Fuck it, got both in your hand with way too much mana?
hero power -- > play this card -- > hero power -- > sir finley -- > hero power
It's interesting, unsure if it'll make murloc paladin a thing. Murloc knight is strong as fuck, but is it actually worth running a full on murloc knight. On one hand, with quartermaster going away the "downside" of this card is a lot less.
Wait it's serious?
I thought it was an april fool joke.

It had to be epic. There goes my dust.
posted 11:06, so I think it's safe to assume it's legit. also it's not actually a bad card, just straight replace the dude with a murloc for murloc synergy and 1/3 I feel is a fairly good 1 drop.
Reno C'Thun won't be a thing because you'll definitely want to put two copies of the good cultists in your deck (plus cards like Klaxxi Amber-Weaver). No point running C'Thun if you only have a couple of cards that interact with it.
Reno N'Zoth is kinda the same, though there are more deathrattle cards than C'Thun cards so maybe there are enough good ones to fill your deck with without too many duplicates.
Reno Y'Shaarj seems infeasible. Y'Shaarj needs a deck without small minions, but you can't have duplicate spells either so you simply won't have enough early game stuff to put in your deck.
You don't need only a single copy of every single last card to make Reno work. You can have duplicates of a few things, or you can just go straight fatigue Reno. Reno Jackson is an insanely versatile card with an extremely powerful effect.
Just look at Kibler's Reno Shadowpriest.

The real question comes with what happens when you Justicar Trueheart afterwords

kibler's reno shadowpriest has one duplicate, which is shadowform, which he absolutely has to draw otherwise he has no win condition other than golden monkey
it's a bit different than a C'thun deck which needs to be dropping a game-ending c'thun to win, so it needs to be packing as much buff as possible while holding the board
playing a c'thun deck without a fair few duplicates will be like trying to play a dragon priest without a fair few duplicates - it might be possible but it probably won't be worth it unless they add more buff cards
Why didn't they give it to Shaman? Everyfin is Awesome works based around how many murlocs you've got, and Shamans current Hero Power is trash.
Why are they pushing two different murloc-classes but constantly giving Paladin the better deals like Murloc Knight, Vilefin Inquisitor and Anyfin Can Happen?

Funny you bring that up, I've actually been playing Dragon Reno Priest for quite a while now with some success. I actually think it's a fairly strong midrange deck.
I took out all the duplicates because I found that having Reno always be active is important because of the presence of Aggro Shaman that I've been facing recently. I just can't win unless I draw him, to be completely honest. Otherwise I'm capable of grinding out pretty much any other deck, especially control.

Speaking of odd brews, what's everyone's favorite pet deck in here? I just mentioned mine, Dragon Reno Priest. Otherwise I mostly play meta decks like Control Warrior/Control Priest/Combo Druid/Anyfin Paladin.
"Starting Hero Power", so you just get the normal upgraded one
No, you actually get nothing.
Justicar doesn't do anything if you are Rag/Jaraxxus, have an upgraded hero power, have shaman's 2 damage hero power, have shadowform, etc.
Woo gold Astral Communion! Also Farseer and Warbot.
What were your season rewards guys?
Liking this new direction Blizzard is going with Hearthstone!

I'd actually play a hearthstone mmo or RTS.
Imagine if there was more lore to hearthstone?
Holy shit the new april fools patch notes of WoW: Legion have quite a few nice references to Hearthstone, and the upcoming game Hearthstone MMO.

I always liked imagining Garrosh awkwardly sitting all scrunched up with his tiny hand of cards while Jania is in front of him.
TIL counterspell counters flare...
seems kinda stupid when you think about it, just lost me the game

Do spells usually do their effects before being countered?
That's how the interaction is supposed to work. Kezan steals mirror and doesn't copy a Kezan, because
battlecry -- > you get the secret --- > Kezan on field
counterspell is
spell tries to trigger -- > counterspell blocks it -- > they don't gain benefit from the spell.
Do spells usually do their effects before being countered?
nope just seems retarded to have a spell designed to counter secrets be countered by a secret

This expansion is surprisingly Shaman friendly.

"this game"
thank god, i was expecting another knight of the wild
It's actually really good, you just need one hero power use to make it decent and any more totems summoned make this card exceptionally awesome.
Amazing arena card imo
Most Shaman decks are already running Tuskarr Totemic and Totem Golem, so it could be a really great card for midrange/control.
Nice to get something to steer Shaman away from hyper aggro too.

Guess Totem Shaman is gonna be the new meta :v:
You don't even need to build a gimmick deck around it
Just 2 totem golems, 2 tuskars.
Probably 2 flametongues.
Boom, amazing deck.
