what happens when they remove cards from the game? Do we get dust to craft new ones or do they just vanish and that is that ?

I hate how addicted I am to this game, while being unable to ever get any fun cards from packs, which is made even worse by me being the kind of player who likes to see how far I can get in F2Ps without paying at all. Is there anything you guys would recommend when it comes to card progression? I've ONLY been buying classic packs because they're the only ones I know will never be exempt from Standard play, and I like having those available, but when I play ranked I always end up playing against people will all the adventure legendaries++, to the extent where my most successful deck is a priest thoughtsteal, mind control, mind's eye, mindgames deck that just uses their cards against them with priest buffs! I want to enjoy playing this game but it's REALLY frustrating to keep being beaten by decks with what I would say is relatively unfair advantages (like golden monkey, Reno, Kel'Thuzad and Dr. Motherfucking Boom goddamn) that feel like are WAY out of reach for me to ever get. I'm so glad Dr. Boom and Sludge Belcher are going out soon because of this [editline]2nd April 2016[/editline]
what happens when they remove cards from the game? You can also still use dust to make cards from previous collections, but they'll only be usable in Wild.
You can get the adventures with gold, I'd say that's more important than packs since you can get packs from Tavern Brawls
what happens when they remove cards from the game? If they want to remove a card, they'll just do this. (And anytime they change a non-basic card, you'll be able to disenchant it for full dust value for a few weeks after.)
You can get the adventures with gold, I'd say that's more important than packs since you can get packs from Tavern Brawls
Yeah, but 700 gold a wing is kinda nuts. I guess it makes sense though cause at least then you're guaranteed good drops, while 7 boosters only give you a slight chance of getting anything good

Plus you can disenchant Adventure cards now, so if you get a Legendary you don't care about, free 400 dust!

I just gotta Catch 'em all you know? Still, it's good to know that it's POSSIBLE http://www.hearthpwn.com/members/TheZondac/collection My collection isn't SHIT, I've got like what, half of the classic set so far, I'll see if I can find any cool decks that use cards I have!
I don't know a lot about MTG, but is it even possible to collect all those cards at this point? Hasn't it been going for like 25 years? I guess that's one benefit Hearthstone has, it's relatively new and also you can just craft cards you need Speaking of which, I've got 1600 dust and I'm trying to figure out if I should craft a legendary now or wait to see what's good in Old Gods. Would Malygos or Thalnos be a bad investment?

I guess I enjoy trying more than completing. Now, I'm no pro but I'd say wait for the expansion. It's a month until it comes and I've no doubt it'll change up the meta in some unpredictable ways, better to be prepared for that
Hahahahaha
Good news, I can stream pretty nicely! Bad news, my internet adapter shits bricks whenever I do.
Savjz card [t]http://i.imgur.com/XssV8NI.png[/t]
Fire elemental into Master of evolution hype! 14/20 of 7 mana minions have better stats than Fire elemental, and even 2 of those "bad cards" are Ancients that lose only 1 attack (also -1/-1 for Paletress effect isn't that bad either). So many strong cards without battlecry on 7 mana: Velen, Antonidas, Obsidian Destroyer, Stromwind champion, Chillmaw... I'm thinking this card will have a high skill cap, you'll need to remember the average minion strength (minus battlecries) of every mana slot and think of several best/worst case scenarios. I'm super hyped about this card. I'd probably play it with just the recombobulator effect, but yeti stats, changing guys back to full health AND upgrading the minion? I'm definitely giving battlecry shaman another try. Edit: Nevermind that, totem golem -> tuskarr totemic -> Thing from the deep -> Master of evolution-ize the damaged 6 mana drop you played for 4 mana into amazing 7 mana minion is the real deal.
Master of Evolution > Totem > Doomsayer is the new Shredder > Doomsayer.

I've only bought the Explorers expansion but I've got pretty much every card except those from the upper wings of other expansions and about half the legendaries. I think the key is playing enough everyday to get an arena run every day or two and then doing well in the area for gold/dust/packs. When I began I ran into much the same problem as you, but you eventually hit a point in which you can climb to around rank 10 off of a cheap deck. I would suggest all noobs just craft all the cards from one specific class and disenchant most of those from other classes, in order to essentially specialize and win more (and get more gold).
Holy fuck lmfao I had a dream that Master of Evolution had 7 overload, and people were arguing its still pretty good. why did i dream about a children's card game
Is Arena worth it right now given the fact Old Gods is gonna hit and I keep getting goblin packs which wont be used in standard right?

I've been thinking about it, at least when it comes to the golds I have for other classes. I suck completely at Arena though, I've played it two times and only ever got 1 win each run. Been watching a LOT of Kripp's vids to see what I'm doing wrong and I'm starting to get a vague idea around now [editline]2nd April 2016[/editline]
Is Arena worth it right now given the fact Old Gods is gonna hit and I keep getting goblin packs which wont be used in standard right?
I'd say no, unless you consistently get 7 to 8 wins at least to make up for the price of admission

How come this isn't a tournament staple? Wizards, pls
Yet, because of how crazy Magic is, I'm certain there's some enchantment that deals damage to your enemy every time you discard a card. Mixed with Enter the Infinite (Draw your entire deck) this could be a really funny play (if such an enchantment exists, it just SOUNDS like something that'd exist) [editline]o[/editline] Done some research and couldn't find anything that lets you BENEFIT from discarding, which is really surprising. Other than a few cards that "If this card would be put to your graveyard from anywhere, shuffle your graveyard into your deck", which would synergize even better with a card that deals damage upon discards. Why is this not a thing yet D: So many close calls too, but they all specify that the OPPONENT has to discard cards for them to do the bonus. An unspesific Megrim (2 damage when opponent discards) would be all that's needed for a quick crazy play. These two are the only unspesified cards I could find 1 2, and only with the first one can I imagine a sorta crazy play, where you use Fervor and to give your creatures haste, then Enter the Infinite the next turn, then, but this'd only be a viable play for casual games with friends trying to do funny shit, cause of the insane mana cost on it (1 dark, 4 water, as many light as you want for the summons and 1 fire AT LEAST) This is why I like CCGs, just trying to make interesting cards work, even when it's almost impossible D;
New card at 3 EST. I'm hoping for a new hunter card.. Shaman is actually becoming a good class, maybe it's time for the class with no meta decks to make his return :( [editline]2nd April 2016[/editline] You know what would be neat? Reno hurt hunter so much, why not add a counter for reno/healing in general? Make it not fit in a face deck at all, but in a control/midrange deck. Idk how the fuck you would balance it to work out like that, but it's pretty much what hunter needs. Something like Animated Armor that prevents the enemy from healing for more than 1. Weak stats, but forces a removal before they can use their heal.

Reno needs some kind of counter, yes, but preventing healing isn't as interesting to play around compared to something like a reverse Auchenai Soulpriest, making ALL heals into damage instead. Yes, this'd hurt priest too, but it'd be a double edged sword when it comes to them, cause you allow them to use their heal to hurt you, while with a Reno it'd be instant suicide

It's a weird minion to stat. 5 mana might be too strong as it curves perfectly into highmane. Art doesn't really fit anymore, I had an Animated Armor version but...yea that'd fuck priest too much.

Then again, hard removal + Reno still happens from Priest, and I GUESS you should have to try a little hard to get rid of it, considering the double-edged nature of the creature. Yeah fuck it, I like it like you've posted it here. It SHOULD be an annoying card after all
The reason I made it have yeti stats, is so its not ENTIRELY dead vs priest. I can see priests just flash healing it and not giving a shit. 5-5 makes it way too good against every thing else, 3-5 makes it feel weak.
The reason I made it have yeti stats, is so its not ENTIRELY dead vs priest. It's good like it is, now to convince Blizzard that the game NEEDS this before the expansion comes out.
I just got rekt in Tavern Brawl by mind-gaming a majordomo, I think it was his only minion in the deck
Can anyone tell me why it feels like I'm the only one who appreciates Lightwell? I mean, yes, it certainly has SEVERAL shortcomings, but with a deck that "enables" it to shine, it can be really crazy. Mostly because people tend to ignore it and not spend hard removal on it, while it's beefy enough to take a few hits on round 2, so it's rarely killed then, and they instead go for face (or mixed, which is the best counterplay vs it due to the RNG heal), leaving it with 5 health. Next turn, you can either Velen's Chosen it to enable some slight damage and a 2/9 that heals 3 damage and has Spell Damage +1, OR Power Word Shield and summon something else or whatever, now it's even beefier, you have more cards in your hand and (especially if you summon something that scales with heals) you're really good to go. If they KEEP ignoring it, which isn't LIKELY but it really does happen a lot due to 7 or 9 health depending on the play is still tough to down at round 3, without hard removal which will most likely end their turn there either way, so most people summon and go for face, giving you a chance to put another Power Word Shield + Divine Spirit + Inner fire on that beast and do 18-22 damage immediately, forcing hard removal and giving you a big advantage. If you're really lucky and have some other play you can make instead, just play like you're ignoring the lightwell and they will most likely do the same, until you can buff it into the 30s for a one-turn KO (I've only managed to pull that off once though, but fuck it was funny. Especially cause it was against another priest) by using shield and double divine spirit + inner fire (1+2+2+1) so it's possible at round 6
WTF are you two smoking, reno completely broken, and it somehow killed hunter? Few people even play reno decks anymore, and it's nowhere near overpowered. There's a reason why ladder is full of druids, zoolocks and secret pallys. Reno decks just can't match that consistency. Sure reno might counter face hunters pretty well, but that's only if you draw it in time, which doesn't happen consistently.
