What the fuck. If there is ever a deck that makes this competetive (hint: this card is already extremely slow), we have gone into literal Magic territory. I can already imagine the Ancestral Spirit and Ancestor's Call shenanigans in Shaman. This card, while being win more x52020020020, is something that will make Wild really Wild. Interesting from a deckbuilding perspective, even if it proves to be more unreliable than Voltron. And fun facts: 1. The Ancient One the biggest minion existing in Hearthstone, beating Deathwing in that place. 2. Ancient One has the best stats for it's mana cost, while the Blood's are the first collectible 9 mana 9/9 minions. 3. Ancient One handles all Old Gods shown so far and survives (counting C'Thun as 6/6). However, it is still trumped by Deathwing or even something as silly as Big Game Hunter. Safe to say all Old Gods have treated this Eldrazi well.
One thing's for sure, that thing is going to be seen in Rogue decks thanks to Conceal. Although, what other cards it'd have, the only other thing I can think of is Saps to easily get rid of Taunts. (Also card draw, but which ones exactly?) Edit: Maybe Faceless Manipulators too, for more consistency, but eh

It's cool but muh lore.

Feugen and Stalagg but bigger and harder to trigger? Edit: [t]http://media-hearth.cursecdn.com/avatars/272/361/27231.png[/t] [t]http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/hearthstone/images/7/79/FacelessManipulator.png/revision/latest?cb=20130604031923[/t]
What's the best 2 drop in the game? Patient Assassin?
Feugen and Stalagg but bigger and harder to trigger?
Perhaps not harder to trigger in how to do it, but definitely slower in the sense of how long you can even start getting Exodia out. For Thaddius to appear, you have to get Feugen and Stalagg to die which, if you wanted the Deathrattle, would need to trade up. And then there's the chance of the second to die being silenced, which ruins the Thaddius fiasco. On the plus side, they can be played as early as Turn 5, so the board is less likely to be binary. For the Blood of the Ancient One, if it survives even one turn, you can just have it deal damage, plop down another Blood, and bam, a minion that puts the Old Gods to shame. Don't even have to worry about Silence...I think? Problem is that you need to have the board controlled by Turn 9. And of course, both scenarios have decent minions (less so Stalagg) for their costs, both can be ruined by Transform spells, and both require you having to draw into those cards in the first place.
What's the best 2 drop in the game? Patient Assassin?
totem golem maybe different cards are better in different situations though
Blood of the Ancient One + Conceal, then faceless next turn. Then get BGH'ed
Blood of the Ancient One + Conceal, then faceless next turn. Then get BGH'ed
Thankfully nobody plays Mind Control anymore.
Thankfully nobody plays Mind Control anymore.
They do play entomb however.
They do play entomb however.
Or Shadow word death

People never see it coming.
I love that card, and I want to see it played. I'll without a doubt try to make a deck that makes it work, but no doubt it'll be hard, the entire earlygame would be based around removing hard removal, so a deck filled with buffs or minions with silencable/abilities you want removed is definitely gonna be viable for a deck taking advantage of it. Cause I'd hate to put out my 30/30 only to get polymorphed. This card honestly reminds me of the joke card "Big Furry Monster" in Magic that costs 15 mana and has 99/99 but requires you to play two cards. My favorite card of this expansion right here, simply because it allows funny and crazy plays [editline]5th April 2016[/editline] BGH is definitely still gonna be viable in this expansion for sure. So then your hard removal baits need to be at least 2 for BGH and then it depends on the character you're against, but on average 4-6 removal baits more. Fuck it's gonna be a hard deck to make but it's gonna be real montage worthy when it's pulled off
its garbage, but its fun garbage.
Which is exactly what expansions should give us. Cards that are fun and occasionally viable, but not the new meta necessarily. Only reason I'm so scared of power creep is I used to play Duel Masters as a kid, and that game had the worst power creep I'd ever seen in a card game and it completely ruined it. I remember going from 7 mana 9000 power creatures with double break one pack to 5 mana 4000+8000 when attacking triple breakers the next pack, and the former was ultra rare while the latter was uncommon. Fucking broken shit and it ruined the game forever. [editline]o[/editline] Looked it up and apparently they added Quattro Breakers and World Breakers later (World Breaker destroying all the enemies shields apparently) Thank god I jumped ship on that early cause that's broken as fuck.
You don't have to worry much. I think blizzard has learnt how to keep cards kinda balanced, and standard will undo past mistakes.
For sure, and that makes me REALLY happy, cause it makes me think that my time spent playing this game and building my collection won't be for nothing. [editline]o[/editline] I probably spent upwards of 1000 bucks on cards as a kid, only to see my collection become useless when the next expansion came out. I probably had around 900 cards through trading and crap and now it's just collecting dust cause they're crap

Damn though, what about playing Aviana+Kel'Thuzad then next turn you play double Blood of the Ancients? Also just saying, the biggest strength of this card is gonna be shown during "Summon a random 9 cost minion" cards, like that mage card that summons a card for whatever your current mana is. [editline]o[/editline] Oh right, Kel'Thuzad is gone! YAY! [editline]5th April 2016[/editline] [editline]5th April 2016[/editline] According to my inaccurate and probably mistaken math [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/fpm8rTA.jpg[/img_thumb] this card has a ~5% chance of summoning The Ancient One if you spend it when you have 9 mana. Gonna be insane when it happens
The Ancient One is an uncollectible, and stuff that summons random minions never spawns uncollectibles.
Aw. Oh well, it does have a chance of spawning the blood at least?
Not that I really care about the lore but who the fuck is the Ancient One? You'd think the biggest minion in the game by far, who can kill any Old God like it's nothing, would be a legendary or something.
Man Anubarak could start a metal band dat voice
Not that I really care about the lore but who the fuck is the Ancient One? You'd think the biggest minion in the game by far, who can kill any Old God like it's nothing, would be a legendary or something.
I see it like a pseudo-Legendary
Basically the V-07-TR-0N of the set, but with half the charm. Still, love it.

He's an epic because you get him through having two epics on board.
I'm not sure I like how you need TWO Epic cards to make it work, getting those two is gonna be a bitch for F2Ps like me ;p But I guess the game isn't REALLY balanced towards freebies [editline]5th April 2016[/editline]
Not that I really care about the lore but who the fuck is the Ancient One?
