Do ya fear death Jack Sparrow?
There are so many pirates this expansion holy shit
What a weird thematic thing for eldritch horror
Also, what's everybodys thoughts on Malkorok, the new Warrior legendary?
I feel like he's been kind of glossed over (also who is he)

Surely this was the reason why blade flurry had to be nerfed into the ground /s
I like the look of pirate warrior though, it could have some really strong openers. Turn 1, either play a 1/1 + get a 1/3 weapon or coin + war axe. Turn 2, play a 3/3 or 5/3 minion, depending on your turn 1. Then on turn 3, play a 3/4 AND upgrade your weapon. The only downside is, the whole deck would probably have to be aggressively oriented since there isn't any good lategame pirate stuff.

Since N'Zoth has so many close ties to the sea I think it's a fair excuse to have more pirates. The archetypes been pretty shafted in the past.
I'm back with more questions!
I was having a casual match when my opponent suddenly stop doing things and at the start of his turn the burning rope was already active, does that happens when a player goes AFK?
Also, maybe it's just me but, I find weird that there is no like a replay option to re-watch all your matches unless I'm blind and the option is there somewhere. Was this idea mentioned before?

Meanwhile at Bethesda.
Not sure what to think about it.
The UI on the cards doesn't look nearly as clean
I know that's super petty but one of the reasons I like HS so much is that it's a card game that's fun to look at
[editline]21st April 2016[/editline]
Who knows if the gameplay will be fun though, I think I'll stick with Hearthstone regardless

not just fun, but intuitive
hearthstones design makes everything easily readable at a glance. can't say the same for that bethesda game

It looks like it has dual class cards instead of neutrals? That seems like it would really limit deck design.
Also "Train your cards to increase their power".
What..?
I'm really hyped about Evolve Shaman with Evolve, Evolution master, Brann and strong battlecry minions or mana reduction cards like Thing from below. It's going to be huge. The odd thing to me is that Reddit seems really pessimistic about Evolve Shaman:
- "Overload cards will suck in that deck". Well yeah, zoolock cards suck in handlock, freeze mage cards suck in tempo mage and so on. Luckily you can choose the best possible combos outside Arena and if you really want to put overload cards like Totem golem into the deck, you can target other minions to evolve, wait for better board or even crutch heal the golem. This is such a non-issue for the deck but at least 3 people have said "no because overload, end of discussion".
- "Random minions have bad stats because of battlecry and simply bad common cards". That's why you play your battlecry cards with a weak body. Enemy play Rag on turn 8. Turn 9 you play Big game Hunter (5 mana now) and Master of Evolution BGH into Sylvanas or Thaurissan. Worst case of 6 mana minion is 4/4 (Wilfred, Mistcaller) or 5/3 Kidnapper and even those are stronger than 4/2. Thing from below (6 mana 5/5 taunt, manacost lowered with each totem) will easily cost 4-5 mana so it can survive one hit, then you'll fully heal it and change it to Antonidas/Velen/Stormwind Champion.
Here's a couple of great evolve targets:
- Big Game Hunter
- Fire Elemental
- Darkspeaker (5 mana 3/6, swap stats with another minion. Basically make a totem 3/6, change 0/2 into 6 mana minion. Anti-synergy with whole board evolving though.)
- Tuskarr totemic
- Thing from below
- Argent Horserider or that new 3 mana "2/1, deal 2 damage"
- Jeweled Scarab
- Defender of Argus
- Twin Emperor Vek'lor (7 mana 4/6 taunt, summons a copy if Cthun is 10/10. The copy is also 7 mana so you'll have plenty of targets to Ragnarosize)
TL:DR: Evolve Shaman is severely underestimated.

"Hmm, turns out our cashgrab failure of an MMO is... A failure and a cashgrab, gentlemen what do we do?"
"Make another shittier version of a Blizzard game! Their cardgame thingy this time."
Cue "teaser" trailer to "hype" people.
Which is not a bad thing, competition will only help the players of these games.
Which is not a bad thing, competition will only help the players of these games.
calling this competition would be akin to me turning up to the tour de france on a tricycle and claiming that i've improved the competition
bethesda have yet to discover that very very few people give a shit about the lore and characters of elder scrolls games, whereas warcraft has damn near saturated the entire gaming market
the whole appeal of WoW is that there was a story and world post-warcraft 3 that people cared about, packaged into an addictive game, the appeal of hearthstone is that you've got a very easy to play, addictive game with characters that a lot of people are familiar with in a setting that people know, that lends itself very well to the card game format
with elder scrolls, you've got an MMO that nobody really wanted that pretty badly flopped, and a card game that is attempting to piggyback off a current resurgence of video game card games, but with characters that just aren't strong enough
case in point, the gameplay video showing lucien lachance - it just doesn't have the power as Hearthstone showing Tirion Fordring or Deathwing. people haven't cared about lucien Lachance in about 7 years
[editline]22nd April 2016[/editline]
all that aside, you're 100% right and there is no negative to that game existing. Competition is good, I just wish it was better competition
The issue is that TCG/CCG are like MMOs, that you need proper amount of investment to fully enjoy the game, and it is difficult to transition to a new game where your progression and community familiarity rolls back to none.
If you don't offer something BETTER, you can't pull players from established competitors.
It does bring competition to the digital CCG, just not on the Hearthstone level. There are still many card games out there. Let them fight.
Presenting to you: The lore of Malkorok, the new Warrior Legendary.
Malkorok was a lieteunant of Garrosh Hellscream, who led the Pandaria expedition for the Horde. Garrosh put all of his faith into him, hoping that his strategic supremacy and pure brutality unrivaled amongst the horde would make short work of the Alliance landing just so close nearby. Formerly a member of the Blackrock Horde with Rend Blackhand as their leader, after it's shattering caused by brave adventurers of both Horde and Alliance alike, he renounced his Blackrock membership and joined the services of Horde as we know.
He was extremely radical in his approach to how the Horde should be run, in a similar way to Garrosh. Quickly gaining a position whitin the elite organization of guards, the Kor'kron, as it's leader, he attended all of Garrosh's plans. Attack on Theramore, meeting with the leader of Blood Elves (Lor'themar Theron), destruction of the Alliance town Northwatch with the assistance of the Molten Giants (which later made Malkorok and Baine Bloodhoof enemies).
His loyalty and insight together with insastible rage made him a good candidate for becoming Garrosh's bodyguard, and so he promoted once more. Later on, after Theramore and attack on Orgrimmar, when Pandaria was found, he led two expeditions - one to find the 'Divine Bell', a mogu artifact and a second one that is much more sinister and dark...
...he led the excavation of an ancient, deep artifact, cased in an iron treasury deep in a Vault.. the Heart of Y'Shaarj, an Old God.
Managing to claim it, Malkorok returned with it to Garrosh, who became his maddened crusade to conquer the world. And Malkorok, he would be the first one to taste the power that Y'Shaarj has to offer.. he'd be the first one to become corrupted, empowered and twisted by the energies remaining in Y'Shaarj's Heart. He would soon meet his end, during the Siege of Orgrimmar, crushed by those who he loathed. The Alliance, and rebelling Horde.
Speaking of which, when are we getting Lor'Themar? Is he the only racial leader without a card?
[editline]22nd April 2016[/editline]
(Also is that two Warrior Legendaries now that are from that same raid or do I not know where the Iron Juggernaut is from)

Both Iron Juggernaut and Malkorok are from Siege of Orgrimmar. Also Xaril, one of the Klaxxi Paragons, makes an appearance there in the encounter with him and all other Klaxxi Paragons (since they would always serve their Old Gods, and managed to be accepted by Grommash of all people for some reason).
Also if you wonder why there is so many Darkshire cards, it's an actual Town deep in Duskwood, part of the Stormwind kingdom but it's really abandoned, with only Darkshire being kinda populated and there's alot of undead and Stitches is running rampant on that city and it has alot of graveyards, dark, thick fog, is easily corruptible by an Old God and don't go there.
Is it bad I kind of want to craft Fandral just to see all the custom transforms for Druid of the Claw/Fang/Saber/Flame
I don't even play much Druid he just seems fun
Then again with Force of Nature no longer mandatory Druid decks might actually be a little cheaper, maybe I should play more Druid this expansion...
Fandral looks like the new Varian to me, a noob trap. I doubt he will be that great as people are making him, the thing with him being a 3/5 and pretty much will always die when played on the board, makes me sceptical about him. Plus alot of the Choose One cards won't be that great with Fandral, and some will be unplayable because there will be always some form of removal for Fandral ready, and if not, you probably won anyway.
Oh I don't think he's good, I just think he looks fun
He is significantly cheaper than Varian as well
Is it possible to give gold/packs to other people?
I wish they would add trading, would be nice.
I wish they would add trading, would be nice.
It would be nice, but it wouldn't be a good business move for Blizzard. "My friend who is quitting will give me all his legendaries. Now I don't have to buy a bunch of packs."

That new Nerubian card has the potential to be pretty wicked with the evolve effects. Potential 3 mana 4/4 that can transform into a 7 drop on turn 4 with Master of Evolution.
New game board
