I ended up ditching taunt warrior and moved onto patron warrior who in this meta shits on everyone and everything. In 12 games I've only lost once to a deck that only went face (and I didn't pull anything to counter it).
Man, I love Renounce Darkness so much, just had an amazing game. I was facing a C'Thun Druid (he had Twin Emps and got it to 23/23 or something silly) and I'm on the back foot for most of it- then I reach turn 10- With an Azure Drake already on the board, I play Avianna, Ancient of War and Cenarius one after the other. He conceded after his C'Thun barely scratched my board, it was great.
I'm pretty sure most player's first impression on Darkshire Councilman was '3 Mana 1/5? Can't be good with those stats.' Darkshire Councilman is the card that every non-Warlock player overlooked, and almost every Warlock player was excited about. Or atleast I was. In fact, the card looks quite insane to me, this + Forbidden Ritual = Easy buffs. It can give you a 5/5 and 4 1/1's on turn 4, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Possessed Villager, Harvest Golem, Imp Gang Boss, maybe even Twilight Summoner if you are the most insane out of the insane - and in Wild, Haunted Creeper, Implosion and Nerubian Egg will make your life true hell when the Darkshire Councilman arrives. It's a threat your opponent has to get rid of, but the 5 Health puts it just at the sweet spot where it's hard to get rid off. It's only weakness is that it's horrible if played alone on not turn 2/3, but just have it get +1 Attack and you already have a solid card (that passes the Vanilla test) and anything above 2 Attack is very good.

The ultimate joust
is this tavern brawl even real [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/iciqDWC.jpg[/thumb]
I put that 1600 dust from several pages ago to good use. Was trying to do some arenas to farm new packs today and the results have been quite polarized; had a 1/3 and a 0/3 but also an 11/3 and 12/2. Goes to show how dependant on RNG arena is. Also opened Golden Yogg wooo now I can lose games in style! No seriously, first time I used it on a ladder game, the VERY FIRST thing it did was pyroblast me when I had 8 health left with 5 other targets on the board.
I'm considering crafting Herald Volazj just because I love his art, voice and intro so much. "GAZE...INTO THE VOID."
I am trying way too hard to make Shadowpriest C'thun work. [t]http://i.imgur.com/cqVff1W.png[/t] It just can't compete with Blizzard's sense of balance in Twin Emp, Klaxxi, and Arakkoa.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/yPQZcIN.png[/t] So here's my budget midrange Shaman deck. I am working on ways to make it less budget. Ultimately Al'Akir is the main goal and Thing From Below is the easiest goal to achieve in the short term but who else would be worth picking up? Maybe a second Mana Tide? Eternal Sentinel or whatever it's called?
Replace those oldschool Yeti's with some new fresh Master of Evolution to begin with.
Got 5 Legendaries within 53 packs, one of them being Yogg. I'll take that.

I'm pretty impressed that my C'thun can receive buffs, all the way from the bottom of my deck.

My motto is "If you want C'Thun prepare for fatigue"
Soggoth into C'Thun actually has been working out really well for me. They have to run their board into Soggoth and then C'thun cleans up their whole board and nukes their face.
what's a good decklist for Renounce Darkness? running an altered version of Trump's (which is basically Zoo but using all warlock cards)
Patron Warrior I think will be making a comeback with this patch, it's really strong.
Patron can literally soak up an entire C'Thun salvo depending on the RNG That's what Excavated Evil is for I guess but I don't know what C'Thun Druid even does against that
I had the new hogger absorb 14 damage from a c'thun. I still lost but it was still nuts how much it absorbed. [editline]28th April 2016[/editline] And yeah excavated evil is such a pain.
First game I put a single forbidden healing my deck. A priest thought stole it and did 16 damage to me killing me.

Also liking that Tinkmaster has an actual use now. Use Tinkmaster on a druid's C'thun, he plays the card to shuffle it back into his deck and nothing happens. I'm guessing he didn't realize as he kept playing, buffing it to 30 damage, played till fatigue and then just sat their roping trying to figure out where it was.

Polymorph, hex and Entome are better options for their respective class but if Doomcaller C'thun is ever a huge threat then maybe yes for other classes. I would still just BGH for the safest bet tho
Yes that's what I meant, I agree that it's probably too niche of a use to run in any serious meta decks, especially once the meta speeds back up and you're not fighting C'thun decks every 2/3 matches. Still, it's fun to use and I would have lost a few games already running BGH over it. But I'm running a very defensive late game deck so they actually have a good chance to shuffle it back in to begin with. Also got a use out of it vs Tirion Fordring, denying a weapon and then denying the resummon when he used N'zoth.
I've played around 20 games since the new cards got added and I have yet to see someone play C'thun himself. Sure, they play the buff cards but by turn 10 they eitjer didnt draw him or they already lost.
Zoolock and Face hunter seem especially strong against these new cards as a lot of these new cards play slow.
there's a lot of people complaining about C'Thun decks, but I think Darwin Shaman is just fucking crazy. The 4 mana 7/7 is just the icing on the cake really
