im disappointed by the lack of side quests, im having to google where to find quests. seems so empty compared to 3 and nv when it felt like i constantly had like 12 quests going
I am drowning in side quests, while in Fallout 3 Not so much
To be fair a lot of these side quests are really long.
That's very true. I'm not shitting on 3 mind you, I love 3 to death. I'm just saying 4 has a lot more
Protip! Railroad Endgame: [sp]I encountered a bug, I'm not sure if this is the cause of it. But save the Synths during the Battle of Bunker Hill and kill your Coarser escort. If you capture them, the game bugs out during the mission 'Nuclear Option'. You cannot progress unless you either go back to before Bunker Hill and save them, or before you acquire the Nuclear mission you betray the Institute and get kicked out. I didn't save them the first time. I went back to a save before Bunker Hill, saved the synths now the mission is working fine[/sp]
4 seems to be taking inspiration from the first fallout game where you get a lot of side quests on the spot and solve them immediately, rather than require a lot of back and forths and exploration like Fallout 3 or New Vegas.
Out of about 140 hours played between me and my brother, I encountered my 2nd crash. I was simply dressing up a settler, as usual, but this time when equipping an item on the settler, ZAPP instant Fallout 4 shut down. :v: No unsaved work was lost.

Only one in-game crash for me. It happened while I was figuring out where to place a lightbulb. Now I'm scared of lightbulbs.
has anyone here done maccready's quest? i'm stuck with [sp]i've killed those two gunners, and it just says "continue exploring". i saw something about med-tek, but i went there and couldn't seem to find anything, or get anything out of the guy.[/sp] i wanna be done with it so i can send him to sanctuary and take on curie as my follower/romancer.
what's the deal with covenant and some companions disliking it?
My only crash was from me spawning in 70 Deathclaws in Diamond City.
That's very true. I'm not shitting on 3 mind you, I love 3 to death. I'm just saying 4 has a lot more
I'm curious to see how many don't have random elements. I know the Minutemen quests are mostly random, the BoS quests are mostly random, same for other factions.
what's the deal with covenant and some companions disliking it?
have you gone there yet? i don't want to spoil it for you if you haven't.
That's very true. I'm not shitting on 3 mind you, I love 3 to death. I'm just saying 4 has a lot more
It may, but it certainly doesn't feel like it. I feel like 50% of my quests are repeats at this point or just fetch quests with no soul to them.
Ending spoilers [sp] Well the institute ending can fuck off, it's the least climatic ending I've seen in any game, at least with Railroad you nuke the place. [/sp]
It may, but it certainly doesn't feel like it. I feel like 50% of my quests are repeats at this point or just fetch quests with no soul to them.
I'm ignoring the radiant/infinite side quests completely really. I still have lots of normal actual side quests
I'm ignoring the radiant/infinite side quests completely really. I still have lots of normal actual side quests
as far as i can tell the only radiant/infinite quests are activated when you join a faction. so that's like 4 or so.
Just spent the last couple hours exploring the Glowing Sea. If there's ever gonna be a Tiberian Sun FPS, that's what it should be like in terms of atmosphere. Although, I did find it disappointing, gameplay wise - I expected it to be a lot more taxing on my supplies, it just wasn't as challenging as I thought it should be. Only lost a leg on my power-armour which got replaced when I found a certain set in a certain location, and I think I left with more Rad-X and Radaway than I went in with.
even without infinite quests most of the sidequests could be summarized as "you absolutely need to kill these guys at this place" silver shroud is a cool idea but the potential is wasted by it being just "go to 3 places and kill small groups of enemies after dialog that is ultimately pointless' [editline]22nd November 2015[/editline] things like cabot house and uss constitution are better than most of them
silver shroud definitely had some speech checks in it, dunno what you mean. bump your charisma up if you want to pass those.
Is it normal for Strong to interrupt me every time I choose the relationship dialogue option? I'm about to punch you Strong.

Unfortunately. Also I haven't yet been to [sp]CIT[/sp], how far is that into the story. I've been trying to hold off on main questing, but I can't find any other quests to do besides radiant shit. Or rather, I've finished every sidequest I've been given.
I can't do the quest Blind Betrayal because I cannot hand in the previous Outside the Wire to Proctor Ingram because I am also on the Mass Fusion quest which I cannot progress without the Institute hating me. Is this a bug or did Bethesda really intentionally block handing in multiple quests until something else is finished?
It really is a massive shame that they're still insisting on using the garbage radiant quest system from Skyrim. It's fine as secondary content but it doesn't replace proper side questlines. At least exploration, finding magazines and bobbleheads is a good incentive in itself. Hell, finding all of the mags and bobbleheads is practically a sidequest by itself.
i passed all of the speech checks, you still need to kill all the dudes save for the last part, wherein you can either convince all the dudes to not shoot (save for sinjan) or have them all shoot you
There are some charisma purposes in the questline but it still could have been 10x longer and been a whole side campaign. Felt like lost potential.
have you gone there yet? i don't want to spoil it for you if you haven't.
already did, still had no idea why the dislike

There are a decent amount of them in the game, I don't mind having a few radiant fast travel murder excursions on top for a bit of fun and levelling.
already did, still had no idea why the dislike
well, did you do the quest?
oh well then...nvm
