Man, the time until GECK/CK hits feels like an eternity. It's desperately needed tbh.
The complete disappearance of the skill system is a plus for me, that shit was just tedious in fallout 3 and New Vegas, it was only a shadow of the original system and replacing it with a system based solely on perks helped streamlining the game a lot. I just wish the game would detail the damage bonuses a bit more. Like instead of showing simply the raw damage stat on each weapon I wouldn't have minded if it showed the base damage + bonus damage from perks and chems.
Bethesda shouldn't have changed the skill system from the originals, period. It worked fine the way it was. It was chance based instead of the bullshit we got in 3 which was "Sorry you don't have 75 lockpick, go fuck off." In FO1 you can pick anything with 12% lockpick, but you just have to keep trying. They could have built on that by making the lockpicking more challenging at a lower skill level than outright not letting you do it. In FO2 they kinda made it bullshit though because even if you have a high lockpick you may still need to make multiple attempts to pick a lock and sometimes you can break it. However you can use explosives to blow the door open if you have them. There are so many little details that Bethesda just totally ignored or threw out all together. 3, NV, and 4 would have been much better games if they never messed with those things.
As is videogame tradition, a designer at Bethesda put a code puzzle in a random location. And the code is 0451.
Did anyone else guess the freedom trail password? I was like "how the fuck do I follow the trail," noticed that the word started with R, and from there realized that [sp]railroad is the only complex word you can form from those letters starting with R, along with the unsubtle underground railroad analog[/sp] I laughed out loud hard, but it was so ridiculously simplistic that I am legitimately surprised that there didn't seem to be any actually unique dialogue for just prancing up to their door, failing to guess the password about 10 times, and then suddenly getting it right. I still have no idea what the fuck the freedom trail is.
Someone should make a companion mod with a crazy guy who reacts to your facial expressions before you can speak.

They wander the wastes to find explosives and blow the doors open. Wow what are you, some kind of a pleb?
i'm someone who wasted a lot of useful points in lockpicking so i want to goddamn pick the goddamn locks thank you very much it was extra infuriating with Traps Traps is useless as hell and totally situational and even then you can pump your traps value over 100% and still fail to disarm a single shitty mine or floor pad why even bother
I have to say, why the heck did they axe the companion wheel from NV? It was quicker and more efficient than two dialog trees one after the other just to access held items. It even told you carry weight capacity right on the wheel itself. [editline]t[/editline] Look how much clearer and more organized it was [t]http://i.imgur.com/jIVG0qB.jpg[/t] We don't even have "stay close / keep distance", "step back" or "be passive / be aggressive" anymore, in any form. And the only way to set melee or ranged is to physically change their equipped weapon, which they can decide against your judgment on anyway.
im fine with the changes, its not really bad and its functional. all that "stay away, or get up close" stuff from NV never seemed to work anyways because they'd still run up to fight and die
all that "stay away, or get up close" stuff from NV never seemed to work anyways because they'd still run up to fight and die
it worked fine to me. they would only autoswitch to melee when they were out of ammo and of course they can't stay away and fight the enemy when they're with a machete or something
I wish you could kill Mama Murphy. I want to make a Mama Murphy death montage with "Let The Bodies Hit the Floor" playing in the background.
I wish you could kill Mama Murphy. I want to make a Mama Murphy death montage with "Let The Bodies Hit the Floor" playing in the background.
You can. Just keep giving her drugs.
I wish you could kill Mama Murphy. I want to make a Mama Murphy death montage with "Let The Bodies Hit the Floor" playing in the background.
Just mod it.
I need a comic series based on the adventures of Nick Valentine
Speaking of Mama Murphy, I made the tallest possible tower for her, and put her chair at the very edge of it. She was able to sit down just fine, but her legs are very clearly hanging over the edge, and she doesn't ever get up. Is she 'supposed' to get out of her chair every once in a while, or did I find a way to keep her out of sight of the children and Jun?
Why the hate, she warns you about an upcoming threat and knows shit about Dogmeat. But oh nooo she has an accent and talks slow.
I kind of wish you could pair a couple together and spawn a few children in your settlements. Would make the place more alive seeing a few kids running around.

But oh nooo she has an accent and talks slow.
its her teeth.... anyway i finished my first game without even doing anything for the minutemen, someday when i have more time i guess i'll do another playthrough i wish the BoS would [sp] send liberty prime out to patrol the commonwealth, instead he's just doing laps around the airport, i think it would be an interesting ending to release a giant robot of death on the city to liberate it from a bunch of synths[/sp]
I kind of wish you could pair a couple together and spawn a few children in your settlements. Would make the place more alive seeing a few kids running around.
Fallout 4:The Sims
Why the hate, she warns you about an upcoming threat and knows shit about Dogmeat. But oh nooo she has an accent and talks slow.
or the fact that her character sucks complete dog rectum ooo my visions
Why the hate, she warns you about an upcoming threat and knows shit about Dogmeat. But oh nooo she has an accent and talks slow.
The hate comes from me putting the stupid chair, that she NEVER fucking leaves from, right next to my workshop area, meaning that everytime I was doing anything I'd get her stupid insight every goddamn 2 seconds. Because you can't move that chair, ever again, I had to move my entire workshop to another place.
I put Mama Murphy in a little shack that's pack-crammed with beds. Fuck her
For some reason Mama Murphy never asked me to make the chair. Instead she actually works for a living.
For some reason Mama Murphy never asked me to make the chair. Instead she actually works for a living.
she works for a living but jesus fuck "IM AS GOOD AS MY WORDDDDDDDD" as shes fucking using a chem table to make chems k
Hmm? Oh, right, this shit; Stopped fucking around and decided to actually go to Diamond City. And fuck me do people in that place just keep talking. I could barely get a word in edgeways.
Ew ew ew, you went into the Power Armor with your helmet on. That causes your normal Combat Helmet to appear as equipped in your inventory, even if you unequip power armor helmet, and unequip/re-equip the combat helmet. So, unequip any glasses and hats before going to Power Armor. Even if you rather just use a sun glasses/hat combo in Power Armor. Oh and, it literally doesn't matter if you don't.

I'm not even bothering with the settlements and what not. I just do everything at Home Plate in Diamond City. I like decorating my house, but it's kind of annoying that some stuff phases through the shelves and tables when you enter. Hopefully they fix that soon.
snip
Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'll try to make some changes based on what you guys posted, but if I can't I'll just go with this one.

The one time the mysterious stranger shows up, he's too close to the target so he just aims at their legs and doesn't bother to shoot, then disappears.
