Is the railroad even a good faction to play as, they don't seem concerned with the larger problems in the Commonwealth and they don't seem very involved at all

So, I just got fallout 4 in the mail, and I will start playing it on the 13th, after I finish my trimestrals.
Question is, what companion is better according to you guys? I mean, I dont like companions, but I think it would add to the gaming experience to have one. I know that codsworth and dogmeat wont have much depth to them (as much as I like the robot), so if you guys could recommend me one, that´d be great. In terms of the ideology for my partner, I dont necesaraly want the shyth to die, but I dont want them destroying the commonwealth either, so, recommendations?

And Codsworth has tons of depth, don't be comparing him to Dogmeat. :v:
Has anybody got an easy way to clip objects through the world? I tried Place In Red but it doesn't work, and the floormat method is painstaking when all I want to do is put doors on the Sanctuary houses.

I'd just like to mention that the vault-boy animations that pop up for [I]every[/I] quest suck.
A shitload of them just goes right ahead and spoils the quest before you've actually recieved any info.

There's a mod for that, and it only replaces the spoiler ones too, none of the ones that just add flavour to the quest log.

I enjoy them, I just wish they didn't show until after you beat the quest like a visual reward.
They look awesome, they just sort of kill suspense.

He hates like half of the things you can do, no lock picking, no getting into power armor, no chems.

Strong hates fucking everything though, hell I don't even know why my character keeps him around with half the shit that comes out of Strong's mouth, any other Super Mutant and they'd be dead by now, he can stay forever trapped with the denizens of Sanctuary until I desire his perk for all I care.

For my current playthrough where I put most points into strength, endurance and agility and I ignore most quests and pretty much my only goal is to kill everything, Strong is the absolute perfect companion.

Danse is great. Who wouldn't want a juiced up Buzz Lightyear to be by their side? Hopefully you aren't too reliant on chems with him around though.

I don't need him to travel with me. He is programmed to like me from the get go.
But other then that he has less of a personality then Preston.
