Ya but there's nothing that screams "must need power armor" in the pistol range, my 10mm is great but sort of small and underwhelming as a side arm, the .44 might be better, I never got to upgrade it much, there is a .45 pipe pistol so I guess that's something but nothing like a big revolver that fallout NV had, maybe the Commonwealth is just devoid of cowboy guns

Just did the battle for [sp]Bunkerkill. Holy shit. I was trying to remain neutral up to this point but there was so much brotherhood and institute synths up in there that I couldn't help but kill a few of them in order to save the residents. [/sp] Atleast I got a guass rifle from it.

Antimaterial rifle in NV and in F4 im pretty sure you need to mod it onto something. I havent found any 50 cal native rifles.

I can't tell if this is just me or not but is the laser musket like the least effective thing ever
the Rifle Danse gives you is pretty much the best energy thing I've found, the musket is just a good way to get ghouls to scratch my eyes out
One thing that bothers me as well is that while they had the right idea by adding baseball bats and weaponized baseballs, they inexplicably decided to remove the pitching machine traps from Fallout 3, even though it'd make the most sense to find them in Boston - especially since they could now fire baseball grenades.

The musket is designed to be usable for most of the game since you can upgrade it significantly and a six shot musket will fuck up mostly anything for a long while.
It's also possible to find laser muskets with at least one of Righteous Authority's properties.
