I would have loved to see a big gun version of the laser musket. Basically an old timey crank-operated gatling gun that shoots lasers.
i wish there were more home-made minutemen energy weapons, maybe for a future DLC, but a minuteman home-made gattling laser would be interesting, hand wound, fires at an uneven rate, much higher burst damage than the normal gat, but slows down and needs re-winding, doesn't suffer overheating though, so its basically a larger version of the musket, it would use a fusion core though
One thing that bothers me as well is that while they had the right idea by adding baseball bats and weaponized baseballs, they inexplicably decided to remove the pitching machine traps from Fallout 3, even though it'd make the most sense to find them in Boston - especially since they could now fire baseball grenades.
It would be cool if you could throw up and hit a grenade like a baseball if you try to throw one while you have a baseball bat equipped.
as you wind it up, it makes a jack-in-the-box tune
If we're going to go down that road we might as well just have a mod that throws in the big baby.
It would be cool if you could throw up and hit a grenade like a baseball if you try to throw one while you have a baseball bat equipped.
its possible but you'd have to somehow convince the engine to do it, i mean you can hit the grenades already as they are physical objects, but you probably couldn't have it hit with the bat and work unless you rigged some animation that just dresses up the throwing animation

So I know information is scarce but what is everyone's opinion on the Season Pass? Have you gotten it or do you plan on getting it before the DLC is out? I'm wondering whether I should buy a bundle or just get the game and take a wait n' see approach.
Laser muskets are purely a glass cannon, until you get a better weapon that is.

I know I'll get all the DLC for sure (if only for modding's sake so I might as well get the season pass and save some money.
i think it's better worded as "Ad victoriam, and beyond!"
Nah its ad infinitum

Just pick them up, toss them, and bat them. Maybe stun an enemy if you bean them in the head. I wouldn't expect the best damage from it, but man would that be a novelty.
I've spent 95% of the game so far in Vault Suit with upgraded armor on top of it that's too iconic to ditch.
I have yet to really find anything that can go under armor that can compare to the defense it gives.
Wait did I ever post my protag? Don't think I did, so uh, here you go I guess. [t]http://i.imgur.com/WPluy1o.jpg[/t] Started out as me(-ish), slowly altered it away from that to better reflect the correct age and background. Still looks pretty youthful compared to most I've seen.
I regret (MQ Spoilers)[sp]Telling Father to shove it right after Bunker Hill, because having X6 as a companion seems interesting.[/sp]
anyone found this? haven't seen it until now [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/400055083633506166/26FF4DC8030B426404E2FDD40F21402D5894A0B3/[/t]
I regret (MQ Spoilers)[sp]Telling Father to shove it right after Bunker Hill, because having X6 as a companion seems interesting.[/sp]
Institute is full of losers anyways. Minutemen 4 lyfe.
I dunno what everyone's beef with the Brotherhood is anyways. They make it pretty clear what they're going for, so you could always jump ship and try to join another less "CLEANSE AND PURGE" oriented faction. As far as morally ambiguous guys with super high tech shit evoking Space Marine ideas, they're pretty darn neat.
Alrighty, am now extracting over 80 mods/9GB of stuff for New Vegas Let's see if I can cobble this together into something playable and fun, as FO4 left me wanting. :v:
Upside: Everything is cooperating, no hard crashes, only a few minor bugs that have been mostly fixed. Downside: Hard to make the game not look like ass. Somehow my game has become racist and everyone has a white/Caucasian head regardless of body tone. It's also funny to see how two main features from Fallout 4 are ripped straight from Project Nevada. The sprint idea is 1:1, and the grenade hotkey was made faster, but there's no button to cycle through throwables in FO4 (unless I missed it.)
I can't stand Preston's voice. It just screams generic goody two-shoes. And I really want to like the Minuteman concept too.
I can't stand Preston's voice. It just screams generic goody two-shoes. And I really want like the Minuteman concept too.
preston's voice sounds exactly like forest whittaker's character from american dad
found a legendary raider carrying this, really weird lol [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/400055083633880200/A1B5D99722955D119FC285DD0170A0C22E1ADFB1/[/t]
I can't stand Preston's voice. It just screams generic goody two-shoes. And I really want like the Minuteman concept too.
Dullest fucking character. Wish there was a quest to backstab him somehow. But wouldn't want the player to be evil or anything.
I could kill Preston and burn his bones but that fucker would come back from the grave to tell me he "has something a bit different this time" and plop 14 radiant quests in my log.
It would be cool if you could throw up and hit a grenade like a baseball if you try to throw one while you have a baseball bat equipped.
I think a perk that let you bat incoming grenades/projectiles back in VATS would be sweet. I've found that when I'm not being stealthy and using melee weapons, enemies with launchers really ruin my day.
I could kill Preston and burn his bones but that fucker would come back from the grave to tell me he "has something a bit different this time" and plop 14 radiant quests in my log.
"Whatchya crucifying there?"
"Whatchya crucifying there?"
Where is the legion when you need them?
"I've gotten word of a certain Preston Garvey that needs our help. I'll put the marker right in front of you"
Where is the legion when you need them?
I really wish they would mention what happened to the Legion. They mention the NCR, but I'd love to here about the what happened to the Legion. Whether they've dispersed or are making new territory claims in the East.

What? My load times are shorter than skyrim by a long shot.
I reinstalled skyrim to try that coop mod for it with somebody and for me at least, the longest load times never went above 10-15 seconds max, while Fallout 4 every time I fast travel somewhere I have time to browse the internet.
For me loading times are ~20sec tops, only performance problems I have is absurd CPU usage is certain areas, like for example sanctuary is almost always 90-100% CPU usage.
Longest load time I've had was like 35 seconds
