No idea if this has been posted but this is the most sick nasty shit that's ever happened to anyone [vid]http://i.imgur.com/MKdKYv3.webm[/vid]
Talk about a headshot.
Just got back to Sanctuary from fixing up Nordhagen, Croup Manor, Abernathy Farm, and County Crossing. I've built a literally impenetrable wall around Abernathy and Sanctuary. The others are very very heavily enforced. Preston says "We've got a settlement having raider troubles." Okay... Who is it? Sanctuary. This is a literal castle island with two feasible entrances. Essentially a guard tower that sees miles around. Two gates that are heavily defended. Hedges that act as a natural defense. Dogmeat, Preston, Piper, and many heavy turrets. And we're having raider troubles. Then after a few seconds Preston tells me of another settlement having trouble. The Abernathy farm, a place with one opening (which is covered by two flamethrower traps) has had a kidnapping. This raider has to be fucking Santa Claus to sneak into this place. This issue is becoming pretty apparent. I shouldn't have to spam turrets to boost my defense and have my settlements protected. It's just silly.

I just had a small funny idea for a mod. If you have a bat the throwing animation for grenades is you throwing the grenade up in the air and hitting it with the bat.
I get extremely bad stuttering and hitching in some indoor areas despite reported fps staying stable, any possible fix? I almost feel like the dynamic indoor lights have something to do with it.
It doesn't really matter what your hardware is, certain locations and looking at the wrong direction will drop your fps. Even from a rocksteady 60fps to 35 by simply taking one step to the side in-game. It has something to do with shadows. There's a "Shadow Boost" mod which kind of helps with that, but I won't bother to explain what it does exactly, but it basically adjusts shadow distances relative to FPS.
Actually, the horribly unoptimized godrays are what impact performance the most in many areas. They look pretty but jesus they double GPU load on high.
Actually, the horribly unoptimized godrays are what impact performance the most in many areas. They look pretty but jesus they double GPU load on high.
I guess? Godrays are demanding, I know. But how do you explain Godrays completely disabled, and still getting drops from 60 to 35 in some "badly lit" areas? Also, Godrays set on anything other than Ultra/High looks worse than having them Disabled altogether. I could get some pictures to better support my words; but medium-low Godrays gives this weird-ass pixelated edges to things.
So anyone find [sp]Bobbie No-nose's Big Dig side quest?[/sp]
Actually, the horribly unoptimized godrays are what impact performance the most in many areas. Games released in 2007 have better implementation.
So, I've been playing this whole time on a controller + with my shitty tv speakers I decided to use my headset and a keyboard + mouse and JESUS FUCK WHAT THE SOUND QUALITY IS AMAZING The gunplay feels insanely good (after fixing all the shit up) It's like I'm playing a different game, goddamn. The sound quality is actually so well done. I have a 7.1 surround headset, and it works so well in fo4. Like, I can tell where ghouls are 100% by their noises.
So anyone find [sp]Bobbie No-nose's Big Dig side quest?[/sp]
(sidequest spoilers) [sp]Anyone else have an invincible mirelurk problem?[/sp]
(sidequest spoilers) [sp]Anyone else have an invincible mirelurk problem?[/sp]
[sp] click him and type kill in console if reloading an older save doesn't work [/sp]
[sp] click him and type kill in console if reloading an older save doesn't work [/sp]
[sp]Might just do that if completely restarting the game doesn't work[/sp]
So as it turns out, when you assign a settler to a supply line and they turn into a provisioner, they gain radiation immunity. I was wondering what was going on. Neat. Keeps them from dying by walking through irradiated water I suppose.
Man, unarmed > melee, so bad. All the neck-snapping, savage beat-downs and suplexes, melee just can't compare to that brutality
Man, unarmed > melee, so bad. All the neck-snapping, savage beat-downs and suplexes, melee just can't compare to that brutality
and im fine with that, unarmed is awesome. It's cool in skyrim too, just fucking useless. Like, they give unarmed SO MANY KILL ANIMATIONS and they go "nah, we won't let anyone benefit from unarmed besides one race"
so has anyone encountered the [sp]impersonator[/sp]with preston as your companion? I wanna know the response.
So, I've been playing this whole time on a controller + with my shitty tv speakers
Why?
Man, unarmed > melee, so bad. All the neck-snapping, savage beat-downs and suplexes, melee just can't compare to that brutality
Can you clarify on how the kill animations are triggered, and work? Based on some reading, it takes a Power Attack on an enemy to trigger them, and it's by chance? And does 1st/3rd person view affect it? Or melee-related Perks? [editline]30th November 2015[/editline] I would search up on it further or test it out myself, but right now this thread might as well be the quickest and most reliable source of information.
So I found this on the nexus http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3605/? Saw this one coming from a mile away
So I found this on the nexus http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3605/? Saw this one coming from a mile away
Me too. It was only a matter of time. But then again, that's in early stage, and dismissing companions requires targeting them in console and using a command. Plus, I can't even name 3 companions that I'd want with me. But with custom companions, or generally with more companions, it would work. Like in Skyrim, I had normal/default Orc companions following me, plus I also had custom Orc companions from Nexus, to form a roving Orc gang. So, you're definitely gonna need some custom companion packs, or do you think the current range of default companions is anywhere near enough? Like, I think they're too good to be dressed as slaves and armed with crude melee weaponry for your amusement.
Why?
Sitting in bed is comfy, and everyone else was fine for most of the game. Just missed out on the sound. I was feeling sick recently so I needed to lay down. Decided to keep playing with a controller for some reason.

One thing I've found out is that the stab [sp]Hancock does in Goodneighbour[/sp] is actually a kill animation that you can do.

He follows me then aggros me later. I wouldn't mind if they aggrod you randomly, but make it so theres some way to keep them from doing it. like a few factors could play a role 1. your strength 2. his strength 3. if any "allies" are nearby, like fellow gunners 4. if you hit him
Man, unarmed > melee, so bad. All the neck-snapping, savage beat-downs and suplexes, melee just can't compare to that brutality
Yes they can. Some of the melee weapon animations are damned cool. The behead one as well as the poke-stomach-smash-head one are pretty great. I also like seeing the one with a blade where you just slam it in the middle of their head. The thing that turned me off unarmed, though, was that there's a really small amount of unarmed weapons, which I suppose has some value but it just bugs me. I like variety.

I'll be beating up my enemies some more. With both fists, and other things. Although ONE question! You don't actually need an Unarmed Weapon for them to occur, right?

intimidation level 1 definitely wasn't worth the points. okay, he's got his hands raised. Can I rob him? No. So, it's just a way to get a guy to stop shooting me, then get close and kill him. Like that isn't already easy.
[Sp] I was talking about setting off at least a massive bomb and watching from the mass fusion tower[/sp] it is a great picture and shows off the improvements they made to the games engine
[sp]That happens with every ending other than the Institute ending though, so it isn't special.[/sp]

The final form of it is disappointing as they never develop Stockholm Syndrome so if you command them they will turn on you after you put your weapon away.
